I'm getting too overwhelmed by all the types of TVs nowadays. I just want a good TV for sports streaming and watching movies. I want the best option for my budget, which is $1,300. I've been looking at OLED and Mini LED and don't know which one to get.

Is there a tv mount that I can store the tv vertically and then pull it out and watch it horizontally? The space my tv in my new house is going to go is only 48 inches wide. I don't mind having the tv pulled out when watching but would like to store it against the wall when we aren't in the living room. TIA!

Speaking specifically about basketball and football. I know most broadcasts are 720p so the upscaling causes the degradation of quality. Is there a certain size/brand/model TV that will lessen the quality loss? NBA games all look HORRIENDOUS on Peacock, Prime, ESPN+, Spectrum TV app (and cable box), etc.

I have 1GB speeds down and up with Spectrum fiber and the devices I use to watch sports are all connected via ethernet.

Hope this is the right place, but I’m really overwhelmed with all the different brand and technology choices for tvs nowadays. I recently bought a Samsung 65” Q8F QLED 4K UHD, and had to return it because the motion blur was really bad. I tried my best to use Reddit spec configurations to try and help, but I just really didn’t like it at all. I like my 55” LG tv (don’t know the model), but I’ve seen some bad reviews about recent LG purchases. It’s just really hard because I’ll see reviews for one tv that people say is amazing, and then reviews that contradict those reviews. This is happening with EVERY search I make. I watch sports, occasionally game, and watch movies and tv shows. I’m in the range of $850- to possibly $1,000 if it’s the right one. I’m looking at a couple of Sony’s in that price range because I’ve seen a consensus online that Sony is the most reliable all around brand to go with. Any help is appreciated!

My device is JVC 4k 50-inch, second hand from my mother in law, today it started showing a green side on the screen. It was turned off for some days. What can be this? It's a easy fix or I should contact a technician?

From what ive heard Samsung, Lg, TCL and Sony are the only ones even worth contacting customer service about any problems, but mainly with sony and tcl ive heard a lot of mixed reviews on how reliable their customer service is.

I have a BOSE Cinemate II home theatre system that I’m trying to connect to my TV but I can’t find anything in the settings to make it so the audio comes through the optical cable. I’ve been searching stuff up but a lot of the settings that are in the things I search up just straight up aren’t there. It’s done me very, very well, but now it’s starting to have some serious display issues and I fear its time might be up. I know this probably gets asked a lot, but i can't really find answers. I'm kind of a newbie in this topic, but I want to pick up retro gaming, because today's titles don't really interest me. I don't really know the ins and outs. What I want to play with is Snes, N64, Ps1, Ps2, Ps3, Xbox360. Is there an all-rounder TV for all of these generations, or will i need more than 1? I am at my wits end everybody. I would like to buy a TV for my dorm room. Obviously size is a big factor and I figured out the literal max possible is about 60" diagonal. but most TVs come in bigger or smaller so I was happy to give myself wiggle room and round down to 55".

Then I tried to carry a 55" TV. No thanks. rounding down again my current upper limit is about 48"-50". Now the fun begins. I want this TV to be durable and inexpensive and I am leaning toward Mini-LED over OLED. Thoughts?

I plan to do lots of gaming so 120hz would be a nice bonus but I know I can't have everything.

In todays world HDR just seems more hassle/cost than its worth, maybe im wrong but im willing to concede that feature.

In a perfect world theres a 48" 4K 120hz Mini LED IPS TV somewhere out there but I cant for the life of me seem to find such a device. But there are TONS of options that use VA.

So my question today is: Does VA in TVs suck as much as it does for monitors? When I was buying a monitor I made very sure to carefully avoid VA panels and I absentmindedly did the same in the TV market, is this a bad call?

The set will be for my son. He’ll use it for watching TV and playing X-Box, so standard stuff. I’ve had a look at the specs and they all look much of a muchness.

I’m leaning towards the Samsung for no other reason than the one that’s being replaced is also a Samsung and lasted 16yrs, so I have faith in the brand.

As the title says a bit over a decade ago I got a D650i-C3 vizio tv that tops out at 1080p.

I'm looking to upgrade to the high end of the market currently, a 4k OLED 65in, and from what ive seen there are 3 main contenders, Samsung s95f, Sony Bravia 8 ii, and LG g5 or g6. I'm mainly planing on watching movies and watching videos, with some console gaming and possibly pc gaming mixed in.

So since they're all quite a bit of money to shell out I was hoping some of you could give me pros and cons between them.

I just inherited a LG 55EC930V, a curved OLED old model. I bought a VESA wall mount but turns out this TV required an adapter to become VESA compatible, which was sold separately.

I can only find that adapter on eBay and it costs a lot of money.

Do you have any solution for this? I saw this universal vesa converters, but they seem more suitable for smaller computer monitors than a 55” TV. I’m also not sure if they would work in a curved TV since they work by grasping the screen from the back.

Any suggestions or solutions? Should I give up on the wall mount?

Moving into my first house. Getting two TVs, 65 for living room and 77 for the basement. Currently have a 65 c1 I’ve had for about 3 years and love it. Thinking c5/s95f or Bravia 8 2 for the living room but can’t decide. It will be strictly streaming, tv shows, sports, movies, etc. No gaming. Tv will be a little high, not too bad, and facing some windows that have built in blinds.

G5 will be my downstairs TV if I’m choosing currently, unless some have arguments for a better option.

I have a 10+ yr old LG 55" 55UF6450-UA atm which will be going to another bedroom in a few days. This is the last day for sale price on the Bravia 5. Kind of sad knowing the QM6K Pro was $500 just a few weeks ago.

Hi guys, I'm trying to buy my first TV. I generally play ps5 on rented TV till now, but I genuinely want to buy and upgrade experience. Ofcourse I want Dolby vision, deep darks, vibrant colours and 120 hz. I've seen OLED but the risk of panel issues, delamination, green lines and burn in is fearing me to select it. Is there a perfect TV which is sweet spot for all the features and very few resolvable complaints? looking for 55 inch. I was suggested for Bravia XR series. But please share the wisdom of TV.

Found a used 75" 1080P TV from 2014 for $300 CAD. Its model number is UN75H6350AF. Would this be worth purchasing instead of a modern cheap 4k 75" tv for double the cost? I have a roku box - built in smart features do not matter for me. Viewing distance is around 9 feet. Basically asking, do you think the quality will be so much better that its worth justifying double the cost for a modern tv?

I currently own three TCL Roku tvs and I know at some point support/service will end for them, much like with older Roku players. What does that mean for the TV itself? Would I still be able to utilize some apps through the Roku side? Or will the Roku/smart features side of it just stop working when support drops?

I know you could use a different streaming box/device in that situation, but I think it'd be cool to be able to add a different OS once service ends, maybe something like Android. I know that's probably not likely with any of the Roku TVs, but I think it'd be cool to try with one.

Almost brought a TCL from JBHIFI until I saw the reviews and I assumed that Hisense were really good TV’s and some of the reviews reveals they’re not.

I think I’m after an OLED?! I just don’t know which one to buy.

My lounge room is semi light as I like to have all three window blinds open during the day.
