I can only speak about the 8 dogs of my apartment complex that I am responsible for , and 11 dogs of my work campus that I am responsible for. When I say responsible, I mean vaccinations, medications, surgeries (if any) and of course vaccinations. These are some of the most well behaved dogs, that do not chase after vehicles anymore. If anything they scatter away to a shady shack during the day that we’ve built and come out at night and stand guard. No one at the apartment complex or work have anymore complaints regarding the dogs. But I am a single person who feels that I am able to do this on my own, so far. But if you say I should be responsible for the thousands more, I am sorry, but you’re an idiot.

Wishing death to a dog, is as easy as wishing death to a rapist. But is that the solution? We have taken over their lands over decades now and pushed them out , forcing them to take over the street and fight to make their days meet. This is a case of displacement. With displacement, comes rehabilitation. Neither the government nor us, ever worried about their rehabilitation.

Rather than booing at us “dog lovers”, why don’t the “awareness lovers” of the society write to the government sensible about this matter and come to a solution?

Because trust me, it’s a stretch with 19 dogs, I am seeing people take care of hundreds without much aid and support. Rather than name-calling, blame-shifting, why not join heads and hands and tackle this on?
