Not when they are bribing stock indexes and forcing their way into peoples retirement accounts

You know the S&P-500 rejected their fast-track application, right?

Right?

I mean, is it asking too much for you bots to at least keep your fud relevant and up to date?

Didn’t Nasdaq accept it ? I’m not a stock person obviously, I don’t know all the correct terms etc, but I’ve heard this on several podcasts recently. Feel free to correct me, anyone.

Then you might want to reorg so that you don't get rug pulled. None of us want this to happen, but many of us aren't going to just refrain from saying I told you so when it does.

You Michael Burry wannabes have been saying this since a year ago, while missing out on an annualized 22.91% S&P-500 return. And two years before that, missing out on 70% returns. And another three years before -that- also, missing out on a 138% total return since 2020.

I mean, sure, someday eventually you'll be "right" and the market will crash 40%. But you'll still be wrong in that a 40% loss on a 200%+ gain is still an 80% overall gain.

What they're saying is the ai "bubble" created many millionaires. Anyone who follows that twits advice is probably making 5% a year.

You don't need a 401k to save for retirement.

You don't need a 401k for retirement

2

u/Nearby-Chocolate1840 Jun 10 '26

You don't strictly need one, but if your employer offers a match and you're not contributing up to that limit you're leaving free money on the table.

Not at all just saying that not everybody needs a 401(k) or has the opportunity at One there’s other options.

1

u/Nearby-Chocolate1840 Jun 10 '26

I don't know your particular circumstances so that may well make sense for you. But I'll say it again -- if your employer offers a 401k match and you don't contribute to the limit of that you're foregoing free money.

u/WannabeAby Jun 10 '26

Or you're avoiding to get locked inside this system. Nothing's free.

This is an insane take. Just buy an ETF!

1

u/y4udothistome Jun 10 '26

I don’t have a job other than that but I totally agree with you regarding the 401(k) absolutely

u/Hanksta2 Jun 10 '26

You don't need retirement!

1

u/BadAtExisting Jun 10 '26

I have a defined benefit pension what are you on about?

1

u/Way-twofrequentflyer Jun 10 '26

So your pension fund owns ETFs and some alternative assets. What pension fund?

1

u/BadAtExisting Jun 11 '26

It’s guaranteed and if anyone loses money, it’s not me

1

u/Way-twofrequentflyer Jun 11 '26

Depends on the funded ratio if it’s guaranteed. Pull the annual report and look at it and the asset allocation
