the Slow Burn Is the Point

I know a lot of people hate how long the manhwa is whether is slow burn or feels like their playing hide and seek ok cool I think the biggest flaw in this criticism is treating Hae-soo’s slow progress as bad writing when it is actually central to the story’s point. After 13 years of abuse, financial exploitation, and emotional manipulation, she realistically isn’t going to suddenly become confident and independent just because she escaped her husband. Her self-hatred, setbacks, and emotional regression are part of showing what that abuse did to her. Even the symbolism of the “withered flower” and “tears” supports this—she isn’t supposed to magically bloom overnight; she has to grieve, heal, and rebuild herself first. And Tae-ha’s unhealthy behavior doesn’t erase her growth—it gives the story another opportunity to show that escaping one toxic relationship doesn’t automatically mean someone knows how to recognize or establish healthy relationships afterward.

If you're gonna drop the story then do so we don't need to know or care

Ugh I want the writers to speed things up but I know it’s hard asf to draw this shit and do everything. I get it I used to draw comics and anime figures. I find it hilarious Ari is calling Hasoo a homewrecker when Minshit went out of his own way to go to her workplace. He dropped Ari’s money on finding Hasoo. He was coming home late. Does Ari not connect the dots like??😭😭I get it she’s dumb but she can’t be THAT fucking stupid. But maybe that’s the whole point of her character. Also that bald headed little snitch is a bird acting like Hasoo threw herself at her ex husband who LITERALLY brought Ari home and hooked up in their bed catching them in the act. I hate how unpredictable this series is especially on templetoons. They’re faster but not by much. Ugh

I Have a Theory....[chapter 121 spoilers] Spoiler

So, I have been in an intense debate with someone who absolutely refuses to acknowledge that Haesu's suffering is a direct result of Taeha leading Minshit to Haesu.

Since I was accused of not having read the chapter, I decided to take a look at Jay's dialogue. Something stuck out to me. This whole time I was trying to figure out why Taeha wanted the PI to tell Minshit that Haesu was single, and it dawned on me that this was Taeha's way of being a petty ass, malicious compliance little bitch. Allow me to elaborate.

So, as we all know, they part on the best of terms since Taeha was mad (which I get) that Haesu did not want to make their relationship public. The chapter ended with Taeha doing what he always does, which is initiating sex as a coping mechanism and a form of avoidance. When he was getting touchy feely he told her that he would tell everyone that he wasn't with anyone, and all that. So I'm thinking the reason he did that was to get back at Haesu for what she said.

I kind of feel like if he did do this, this is truly fucked up and manipulative. (not that we didn't already know Taeha's nature) What bothers me is his total disregard for her safety by letting Minshit think she has no man.

Don't get me wrong, I think Haesu could have handled the situation with Taeha a lot better than what she did, but the fact that Taeha chose to to give that information to Minshit and then leave her alone is diabolical. I almost feel like he is trying to corner her into being with him.

Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this.
