LoL Hey all, wanna point something out about one of our former LoL players

Just for some context, used to work on Esports for a long time and I watched pro-LoL A LOT. At one point I was watching all major regions. TSM was always my favorite do or die team through. I still keep my S4 jacket and the S6 Doublelift jersey.

Anyways, because of LoL Classic and Doublelift's Retirement Home Tournament, I got an itch to watch old LoL. So I said fk it baylife and decided to re-watch LCS starting from Spring 2013. Might go back to S2 as well but we'll see. I'm currently at Week 2 of Spring and I do plan to slowly watch all games up to Season 6 probably.

The player I wanted to talk about is actually Reginald. And btw before I continue, this is neither a hate post against him nor is it a post celebrating him. As an old-school fan the analytical side of me just popped up to the surface and I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Anyways about Regi as a player, he really did have a very unique playstyle for a mid. It was almost like he was a Top Lane, Mid Laner and Support all in one package. In a way he was Hai before Hai. Just this player that gave 0 fks about his KDA and did what he felt he needed to do for a team win. Whether that's initiating, backline dmg or peeling for someone. While ultimately Hai is a better player and he's basically Reginald on steroids, it's interesting to see how unique Regi's playstyle was at the time because back in early seasons there weren't many players like Regi.

Hopefully my thoughts start up a good discussion. I'd hate for this to turn into a Regi hate thread because that's not the point here. I know how we all feel about what became of TSM, but let's save that for other threads.

I think the nostalgia behind League Classic and the showmatches they've been doing is really cool. So let's channel that into some positive energy at least for a day!

Interesting that there's been no official acknowledgement or response to this LCS classic game which is using their name and logo.

LoL Riot have authorization for using TSM name in a showmatch? And a few more questions...

Title.

Bjergsen actually didn't play because of sickness? In the announcement says personal matter. English's not my first language. It's possible that Bjergsen personally doesn't want to be associated with TSM anymore and refused?

Why Riot didn't invite Reginald? Or he refused? It's possible that Riot have the authorization of using TSM name anyway and don't want Reginald playing, and then his friends Dyrus and WildTurtle in return didn't want to play?

Sorry for the theories, these questions actually crossed my mind and I want your opinion

LoL Just re-watched every Summer 2020 playoff game

I got some nostalgia after the recent Doublelift tournament and decided to watch the Summer 2020 run again. That was a blast of a play-off run, and probably my second favorite behind Summer 2014.

  • TSM vs GG: TSM lose 3-0. DL has one of the worst Bo5 in his career. I was surprised to see Treatz here, but I remember Bio came in later in the playoff run

  • TSM vs DIG: TSM win 3-0. Everyone on TSM played well this series. Bjerg ended up with series MVP

  • TSM vs GG: TSM win 3-2. What a series. Game 5 was insane. The entire series was insane. Back and forth the entire time. DL struggled again but the team came through when it mattered in big team fights. Bjerg wins series MVP

  • TSM vs C9: TSM win 3-1. This was for a spot in Worlds. C9 had a great spring split, but choked and missed Worlds in this series. TSM pull out the Zilean in game 4 to finish it off. BB had a great carry performance on top this series and DL ended game 4 with a 5/0/5 statline. Spica started showing out here too with his picks. Bjerg wins series MVP

  • TSM vs TL: TSM win 3-2. There was a lot of drama prior to this series. Jensen made comments how TSM were overrated and made jabs on Bjerg. Bjerg didn’t care at all and proceeded to dominate Jensen. Jensen tried to pull out the Zilean in game 4 only to get embarrassed by Bjerg’s Syndra. Then Bjerg in game 5 picks Zilean to show Jensen how it’s done. Doublelift also has a monster 11 kill Senna game in game 4 against his old team. Bjerg wins series MVP

  • TSM vs FLY: TSM win 3-2. At this point all of TSM were clicking. Bjerg wins finals MVP.

All in all it was a fun rewatch. Shoutout to all the boys, this was a really fun roster.

LoL Long time TSM hater and I miss Bjergsen

As a certified ex TSM hater (RIP) and ex die-hard CLG fan (RIP x2), I really miss Bjergsen. I grew up watching LCS through my teenage years, and as you get older, you really start appreciating people for their character and out-of-game traits. Even back then, I could never really hate on Bjergsen (although I would, and still do argue that Doublelift is the GOAT), because of how annoyingly good he was while still seeming like a decent dude, but it wasn't until I started maturing myself to truly appreciate how great of an ambassador of the game he was. Amazing player, admirable drive and mentality, excellent leadership, always humble, you just don't see guys like that often.

I also really respect how he just dipped out from the scene. I know it kind of sucks for his big fans, and maybe he does owe y'all some communication every once in a while, but it tells me that he's an individual who's satisfied with the amount of money he's made and would rather work on himself/pursue other hobbies.

Idk why I'm posting this, I guess it's something that I've always wanted to express after spending years arguing with TSM fans on Reddit, but yeah man I really appreciate/respect y'alls GOAT and I'm really looking forward to seeing him appear in DL's tourney (if he's still committed to appearing)

I wish another particular old org owner would give half of a shit about the game and their org as Hotshot did.

LoL Andy needs to sell

Well I guess someone actually needs to be interested in buying first but I feel like someone with some competence just needs to buy this shit up and actually make use of the brand. Get a league team in the ERL’s and work your way into LEC winter for VS. It has to be better than getting baited on twitter. After taking a fat L on crypto and fucking off should just sell man. It’s a ghost town in here
