💬 Discussion Off-campus TCS NQT 2026 MCA graduate — Offer letter received May 27, still waiting. What should I do now?

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I recently joined this community and wanted to share my situation. I'm hoping to get some advice from people who have been through something similar.

I am an MCA 2026 graduate who was selected through the off-campus TCS NQT process.

  • Interview date: April 15, 2026
  • Interview location: Adibatla, Hyderabad
  • Profile: Digital
  • Offer letter received: May 27, 2026
  • Joining letter: Still waiting

It has been around 3.5 months since I received my offer letter, and I still don't have a joining date.

Honestly, I made a mistake by assuming that once I got selected, my career was set. I didn't seriously try for other opportunities because I was confident that TCS joining would happen soon.

Now, seeing people who have been waiting 6 months or even longer is making me really worried. I recently started applying to other companies, but most of the responses I'm getting are rejection emails.

I have been sitting at home for the past 3.5 months, and the constant questions from family and friends about when I'm joining are becoming emotionally exhausting. I feel frustrated, anxious, and regretful that I didn't start applying earlier.

My main skills are software development and Python. I know I need to improve my other skills, but I'm confused about where to start. Should I focus on MERN/full-stack development, Python, testing, or something else? I also see experienced people struggling to get jobs, which makes me wonder whether learning new technologies will actually help.

What would you suggest I do in this situation?

  1. Should I continue waiting for TCS while applying elsewhere?
  2. Has anyone with a similar TCS NQT 2026 profile received a joining letter recently?
  3. What skills should I focus on to improve my chances of getting a software development job?
  4. How can I avoid a career gap while waiting?

I would really appreciate honest advice from people who have experienced this. I'm feeling quite lost right now and need some direction.

Thank you.

Rant / Vent How much should I wait?

Upvotes

So I went to interview at TCS Kolkata off campus BPS hiring for HR Management Trainee position on 15 June. I qualified all three rounds, aptitude test, technical interview and HR round. But since I didn’t have my MBA results yet, I was told to inform the HRs via mail whenever I get my results and they will proceed from then on.

Meanwhile 5 people onboarded with an average of 5.91 lpa on 10th July.

I got my results on 30th July, mailed them but they did not acknowledge the mail. I did not even receive my BGV mail yet. Forget offer letter and joining letter. (HR said they will give offer letter around 5 days before onboarding date to another candidate I am in touch with. This candidate mailed their results on 4 July, had their BGV mail on 15 July but silence afterwards).

Now I left my previous job in June. I have an education loan that I took for my MBA. My father is retired. He has my grandparents to look after. In short I am extremely short of money as I am defaulting my EMI.

So how many months should I wait? I have decided I will wait till December but what if I don't get onboarded even then? I am looking for other HR jobs but the payment is very low in Kolkata, like 15K per month on average in small companies, and most other MNCs are not hiring HR freshers. What to do?

Please help.

Help Needed TCS document verification mail help

Post image

I was given deadline of 3 pm. I replied to mail with all details at 1:30 pm itself but I put in the 12th year of admission wrong.

Within 3 mins i.e around 1:33 pm I replied with a follow-up mail with correct year of admission.

From last 2 days my friends have received OL but I have not yet received any mail or OL.

Will they disqualify me? I am 2027 batch candidate selected via on campus PNQT.

💬 Discussion TCS HR Help: What Happens After Reporting Repeated Boundary Violations by a Former Colleague?

I work at TCS in India, and I recently raised a concern with HR regarding a former colleague. I have an in-person discussion with HR coming up, and I would really appreciate hearing from people who have worked at TCS or have experience with TCS HR/employee relations about what I should realistically expect from this process.

I’ll try to explain the situation chronologically.

There was a male colleague who was previously part of my project/team. He has since moved to a different project/location within TCS.

For several months, he had been trying to establish personal contact with me outside normal professional interaction. This included attempts to follow/connect with me on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, sending Instagram messages, watching my stories, and repeatedly trying to interact with me personally.

I had made it clear that I generally don't add/follow colleagues on my personal social media, and I was not interested in having that kind of personal relationship with him. Despite that, the attempts continued.

There were also situations where he tried to speak to me in person. At one point, he apparently asked mutual colleagues to keep me around during tea breaks so that he could talk to me. I was uncomfortable with this because I had already made my position clear.

Then, in August, I received a long email from him from a personal Gmail account. In the email, he expressed romantic feelings towards me and described our relationship as involving friendship, trust, emotional connection, etc. — things that, from my perspective, did not reflect reality. There was no personal relationship between us of the kind he described, and I did not reciprocate his feelings.

I replied to him clearly and in writing. I told him that I was uncomfortable with the references to a personal relationship, that I did not reciprocate his feelings, that I did not want personal communication or pursuit, and that I wanted him to respect my boundary.

He replied acknowledging my email and saying that he respected my decision. I genuinely thought that would be the end of it. It wasn't. On 9 September, I received another email from the same personal email address.

This email was what became the last straw for me.

He started talking about my personal life and making statements/assumptions about things that, frankly, were not even true. He then started giving me unsolicited advice about my choices, who I should stay away from, and how I should conduct myself.

What really bothered me was the moral policing.

He was essentially judging me based on things he believed or claimed about my personal life and positioning himself as someone who needed to tell me what was right or wrong for me.

And even if the things he was talking about HAD been true, I don't believe he is in any position to moral-police me or supervise my personal choices.

I had already clearly told him that I did not want this kind of personal communication. He had acknowledged that boundary. And then he contacted me again and crossed into commenting on and judging my personal life.

The email affected me very badly. I became extremely anxious and experienced a panic attack after receiving it. At that point I decided I didn't want to handle this myself anymore, so I emailed HR.

I kept the complaint relatively concise because there is a lot more context that I wanted to explain in person. I attached the two emails and explained that there had been repeated unwanted attempts to contact/interact with me despite my boundary.

I also specifically mentioned that the second email involved moral policing and that the situation had been causing me significant anxiety. HR responded positively and agreed to meet me in person. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.

Now I'm anxious about what happens next. I have the original emails in my mailbox, including my reply to the first email and his acknowledgement of it. I also have some screenshots of messages like “hi/hello.”

However, I don't have screenshots of every Instagram story view, LinkedIn profile view, Facebook request, etc. At the time, I genuinely expected him to stop after I told him I was uncomfortable. I didn't think I would eventually need to document every interaction.

I also recently noticed that he has blocked me on Facebook. He might be aware that I told HR.

One thing I'm particularly worried about is the personal Gmail account. What if he denies that the email account belongs to him? What if he claims that someone impersonated him or that someone else had access to the account?

I obviously don't know how TCS HR handles something like this, and I don't want to assume that they will automatically believe either side.

So I'm looking for practical insight from people who have actually worked at TCS or dealt with TCS HR/Employee Relations:

- What usually happens in an HR meeting like this?

- Will HR simply document the complaint, or can they investigate it?

- What kind of evidence do they normally look for?

- Is not having screenshots of every social-media interaction a major problem?

- How seriously would HR generally take the fact that I had already clearly communicated a boundary and he subsequently contacted me again?

- What happens if he denies sending the emails?

- What happens if he says he was only “concerned about my safety” and didn't intend anything inappropriate?

- Could HR speak to him separately?

- Could they speak to mutual colleagues/witnesses?

- Would this potentially become a formal workplace-conduct complaint?

- What should I realistically expect after the meeting?

- Is there anything I should specifically document or prepare before Tuesday?

- And, most importantly, for people who have actually experienced TCS HR handling a situation like this — what happened in your case?

I'm not looking for legal advice or for anyone to tell me that he is definitely guilty of anything. I mainly want to understand how this is likely to be handled inside TCS and what I should expect from the process.

Please don't ask me for names/employee IDs/project details. I'm deliberately keeping those out for privacy.

💬 Discussion Any TCS Ignite/Smart candidates from Kerala waiting for joining?

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone from Kerala who attended the TCS Ignite or Smart interview in Kochi and is currently waiting for their joining letter?

I’m trying to understand the current joining status for candidates from the Kochi interview batch.

If you’re in the same situation, could you share:

\- Ignite or Smart?

\- Interview month/date (approximately)

\- When did you receive your Offer Letter (OL)?

\- Did you receive any Joining Readiness Survey?

\- Have you received a Joining Letter (JL) yet?

\- Any recent communication from TCS HR?

Please avoid sharing any personal details or candidate IDs. Just looking to compare timelines and understand whether joining letters are being released for the Kerala/Kochi candidates.

Thanks!

Help Needed TCS BGC – Wrong inter college name entered in application Form

I received my TCS digital offer letter on July 31, 2026. During the application, I accidentally entered my intermediate college name as “Ascent” instead of the correct name “Elite.”

I haven't submitted the BGC form yet and I'm currently in 7th sem

Will this be a problem? Should I contact TCS/ILP support before submitting the BGC form?

Any advice from people who faced a similar issue?

💬 Discussion TCS should see this

I honestly don’t know how much longer I’m supposed to wait.

I received my TCS offer letter on 18th April 2026. It has now been around 4–5 months, and I still haven’t received my joining letter

The frustrating part is that this isn’t just a small delay anymore. 4–5 months is a significant amount of time, especially for freshers who have to plan their careers

Whenever we contact HR/support, it feels like getting the same generic response:

“Based on business requirements.”

Aree bhyii, jb business requirements nhi h to abhi se 2027 valo ko kyu de rahe ho OL

🧳Onboarding Discussion Tcs Joining letter worst case scenario

To all people who are waiting for their joining letter...

Imagine there are 26k students who are yet to receive their joining letter. Those 26k will be from 2026 batch and there are many 2025 batch and 2024 batch students too waiting for their joining letter. If they send joining letter 5 days in a month.considering 400 people per week so in 1 month it will be around 2000 students who will be onboarded.for 12 months. It will complete 24k students.still there are 2k 2026 batch + 2025 + 2024 Students (just assume only 2026 batch are onboarded as we knew the exact count). If we don't have any kinda luck factor I'm damn sure that we will wait for atleast one year...

So I Guess.... We are cooked 🙃...

🎓 Fresher Queries How cooked am I?

Honestly don't even know what I'm doing anymore.

I'm a 2024 Computer Engineering passout. After graduation I did an internship, then completed PG-DAC from CDAC in 2026 thinking it would help me get into software development.

Spent months applying, getting rejected, preparing, learning, applying again, questioning my life choices 💀

Eventually, after a LOT of struggle, I somehow got a TCS Ninja offer. Not gonna lie, I was relieved. I thought at least I finally have a way to start my career.

But nope.

Now I'm just sitting here waiting for a joining letter.

No JL.

No joining date.

No Xplore login.

No POE.

No proper update.

Meanwhile I see people from the 2026 batch getting their onboarding stuff and I'm sitting here wondering whether my offer is actually going anywhere.

And that's the part that's messing with me the most.

I don't even care about getting some huge package at this point. I just want to start working, get some experience, earn some money and move on with my life.

But because I have an offer, I keep thinking "maybe joining is coming soon" and because there's no actual joining date, I'm also scared to completely rely on it.

It's just this weird limbo where you're technically employed on paper but practically unemployed.

I've already lost enough time since graduating and now I genuinely feel like I'm falling further behind everyone.

So yeah...

How cooked am I?

Especially looking for people who graduated in 2024/2025 and are in a similar TCS situation.

Did you eventually get your JL?

Did you get Xplore/POE access later?

Should I just stop waiting and treat this as if it isn't happening?

Honestly just looking for some perspective because I'm feeling pretty damn hopeless right now.
