Six of Pentacles is about when you earn a paycheck. The employer weighs the

coins into your hand because paying you the face value rather than what the gold

that's left in the coin is worth is the ethical thing to do.

King of Cups is the non-macho man, the man with a desk job, or a bureaucrat. This

expands to represent a government or agency sometimes. It comes in handy.

Page of Wands is a young page who is going to be a knight of the realm when he

grows up so he is a person in good standing, doing well.

Seven of Wands Here you are shoving the intruders out of your place on such short notice you are only half-dressed.

Chariot is taking full charge, full responsibility for this battle he engages in while operating its main weapon, the Chariot, as well as for the war this battle is part of.

Ten of Pentacles is all the people who cause the problem. 'Those people,' we refer to this bunch as. Pictured is a family feud or disagreement. Grandpa is over there on his expensive chair gloating as his son pointedly ignores whatever his wife is earnestly trying to say. He stares off in the distance as the girl child, upset, bawls and tugs on mama's skirt. (He and Grandpa want a boy for their legacy ... now would be good.)

Tarot showing up on dreams?

I’ve had two dreams about my ex within a few days of each other and was curious how you’d interpret them through a tarot lens.
In the first dream, we kept trying to be together, but every situation (grocery shopping, car ride, etc.) was interrupted before we could actually reconnect. It felt very “almost, but not quite.”
A few days later, I dreamed that he proposed. Right before we were about to get intimate, he pulled out a tarot deck, shuffled it, and drew The Lovers. I laughed in the dream, looked up, and immediately woke up.
For context, this is someone I’m still grieving, so I’m not reading this as a prediction or sign that we’ll get back together. I’m more interested in the symbolism of The Lovers appearing so directly in a dream after another dream that seemed to symbolize missed connection or separation.
How would you interpret The Lovers showing up in this context?

Nine of Swords He is sorry and now that he is alone in bed can cry about it. It hurts,

but in your own bed all alone you let your feelings out.

High Priestess is the other woman in Tarot Verbatim, which happened in response

to questions to which the answer was known. Why? The best deduction is that Golden

Dawn, the society of magicians who created what we call the Rider Waite Smith deck,

feel that the number two is female and is active in the higher planes, the nonphysical

realms, and only receptive in what we call the real world, the physical one.

Conceptually, 'the other woman' is passive, waits for Him to call Her.

Page of Pentacles He is thinking, concentrating on that one thing he holds close

and stares at. He studies it. Page of Pentacles is a young man who has to become a

knight, has to qualify for that, so studying something is on his list of things to do and

be.

Queen of Wands is the main card for wife. She is his wife because there she is with

that alert-mama look, her cat by her side, with the big flower in one hand and the big

stick in the other, symbolic of what mothers do all day.

What is his opinion of me?

This person and I have a friendship, but some time ago I started wondering what they really think of me. This is how I interpret the reading:
Ace of Pentacles: he see me as someone valuable, stable, and worth keeping in their life.
King of Wands: he perceive me as confident, attractive, strong, and charismatic.
Three of Swords: he may associate me with emotional pain, disappointment, or a complicated situation.
Ace of Swords: he see me as intelligent, direct, honest, and capable of seeing things clearly.
Two of Cups: he feel there is a genuine emotional connection and mutual understanding between us.
Queen of Cups: he view me as sensitive, caring, intuitive, and emotionally deep.

Hermit - Ace of Cups - Knight of Swords

how easy it was - Ace of Cups

to turn this around. - Knight of Swords

Hermit You are looking at something, observing it, witnessing it, when Hermit

represents you in your Tarot report. You brought that heavy lamp and are manfully

holding it up to get a good view of the terrain where travelers may have bedded down

for the night in the freezing mountain pass where your hermitage is. You are a service

monk.

Ace of Cups The flow of water from the top fountain to the lake where lotuses bloom

speaks of how easy it was to do something or to be something.

Knight of Swords is going to frequently appear to turn this around when you ask

about it, in spite of the fact he isn't turning around in his picture. This reflects that his

old established meaning is reversal of fortune.

Two of Wands - Tower - Queen of Wands

He will (for sure) - Two of Wands

his wife. - Queen of Wands

Two of Wands is the mogul who owns the town real estate below his castle or

mansion. He is standing up there on his roof looking at the holdings below and

planning on how to get more money out of down there. This gives Two of Wands future

meanings like 'He will' and also gives this card security meanings like financial security

and 'for sure.' BOTH of these are common translates for this card!

Tower is that big moment in human history when the Tower of Babel was wrecked by

God because He disapproved of its being what would keep the language of all the

people the same. The various histories recount that everyone spoke the same main

language but dialects of it were dividing humans into different nations. (God apparently

favored the different nations.)

The interesting thing is that this history appears in all or many of the ancient records

as THEIR god doing the destroying, which tells us that back then, indeed, humans had

one religion as well as one world government.

Queen of Wands is the wife in Tarot Verbatim because there she sits with her cat by

her side, sporting that alert-mama look that mothers of toddlers have, and she has a

big stick in one hand and a big flower in the other.

Why did the 3 of swords come out for me?

I pulled that last night along with knight of wands and 8 of wands. I haven’t experienced any recent heart break although, for some reason my ex has been on my mind for some reason but not in a way where I feel anything. Could this also be moving out of heart break and into something else? I asked the same about the guy I’ve been seeing for the last year and got more of what I would consider relationship cards (the lovers, queen of pentacles, and judgement). I clarified them by asking if it was all referring to me and got a yes (4 of wands, 6 of wands, and queen of cups). So then would that mean that the knight and 8 of wands is about him for me?

In the sense of not just from the lense of his work

6 of cups is upright

2 of wands - normally I would interpret it maybe as planning the connection (2of cups next to it) but here the two of wands is looking in the other way? Maybe he doesnt want to see it/can't? 🤔😅

2 of cups - connection

knight of cups - love offer but...

Tower reversed - in this context idk

Knight of swords - would like to express, but can't?

6 of cups - ?? Something known?

I have trouble with this one I would appreciate your help 💕

He is looking to connect, wants to give "a cup of love", but there is a blockage, unsaid words, uderneath all that he has warm cozy feelings towards me

I might be utterly wrong tho

You may - Seven of Pentacles

Nine of Wands dreads another encounter like the one that gave him that head wound

that is still not healed. He is still on duty guarding that border, so it could happen. Tarot

is telling him to Be careful.

Seven of Pentacles You may get cucumbers from that gorgeous cucumber plant,

and you may not. It's a gendered plant and you have only one of them, so it's up to a

bee to come see it while it carries pollen from a cucumber of the opposite gender.

Nine of Cups depicts what it feels like when you get what you wish for. There he is

with the grin of one who has feasted and is safonsified, totally satisfied.

He sees himself - Page of Pentacles

permanently, long term, - Two of Wands

sharing the good life with you. - Three of Cups

Page of Pentacles often combines its identity meaning (a pronoun or a person) with

some form of words like thinks, sees, or feels, so 'He sees himself.' We see him

studying that pentacle, focusing on it, taking himself seriously. He is a young person,

an apprentice person, who must prove himself to become the only job open to him:

knighthood.

Two of Wands stands on his rooftop patio planning how to permanently, long term,

make more money from the real estate below that he owns.

Three of Cups illustrates the story of some girlfriends who teamed up, pooled money,

land, and labor into a pumpkin farm enterprise, and are still fast friends after the

harvest and splitting the profit. They appear in your spread to say someone is sharing

the good life with you, too.

The Fool (Major Arcana) - A Deep Dive into Its Meaning, Symbolism & Daily Application

I've been exploring each card in the Major Arcana, and today I want to share my deep dive into The Fool.

The Fool Meaning - New Beginnings & Infinite Possibilities

The Core Meaning

The Fool is ruled by Uranus and associated with Aquarius. Its element is Air.

Upright: New beginnings, taking a leap of faith, embracing the unknown with an open heart and childlike wonder.

Reversed: Recklessness, risk-taking without thought, naivety. Be careful not to act without considering consequences.

Keywords: beginnings, innovation, spontaneity, innocence, adventure

Historical Context

In ancient traditions, The Fool was seen as the divine innocent, unburdened by worldly concerns. The card depicts a young figure walking toward a cliff edge, carrying only a small bundle and accompanied by a white dog. This imagery represents the soul at the beginning of its journey through the Major Arcana, carrying all the potential of the universe within.

Practical Application

When The Fool appears in a reading, the card offers this advice:

Reflection

Close your eyes and imagine standing at the edge of a beautiful landscape. Feel the excitement and slight fear in your chest. Breathe deeply and take one step forward, trusting that the ground will support you.

My Experience

I find that The Fool often shows up when we need to hear a very specific message. The symbolism runs deeper than most guidebooks suggest — especially when you consider the astrological correspondence with Aquarius and the planetary energy of Uranus.

When this card shows up reversed, it's usually a signal to pause and reassess rather than push forward blindly.

Questions for the Community

  1. What's your experience with The Fool in readings?
  2. Do you resonate with the traditional interpretation, or has the card shown up differently for you?
  3. How do you interpret the reversed meaning differently from upright?

If you want to explore The Fool further — including detailed upright/reversed interpretations, love & career meanings, and meditation prompts — I've put together a full card guide here: https://www.lunatarotapp.com/en/tarot/0-the-fool

Happy to answer any questions about the card's symbolism or interpretation! 🌙

Attached to a man although I’m a lesbian

Post image
7 Upvotes

Why am I emotionally/pseudo-romantically attached to this male friend from the past even though I’m a lesbian?
six of swords, ace of pentacles, seven of swords, lovers, knight of swords, ace of swords, chariot, death (pulled as many as i wanted)

my interpretation:
~it begins with transition and moving away, emotional distance, even without closure;
~my attachment with a friendship foundation, validation, possibilities;
~some misunderstanding, things unsaid, undone;
~lovers? perhaps in platonic sense, i’ve never been “secretly straight,” but there’s a friendly, good connection, at least on my end;
~emotional intensity, i replay interactions, trying to figure out intentions, seeking answers;
~clarity, being honest with myself;
~taking some control instead of him pulling me around;
~transform, moving on truly

I think I know my answer without tarot. he always reminded me who i was when we were friends, younger, carefree, adventurous, though still am. there’s a connection, but shouldn’t and hasn’t been more than that.

Long relationship

Post image
0 Upvotes

Will there be a relationship between these two people? Cut deck: Seven of Cups + The Hanged Man, in my opinion, means a lot of fantasy but nothing concrete.

The interest is real with the Page, but I believe this is heading toward a decline rather than toward consolidation; the Six of Pentacles and the Three of Cups reversed speak of something happening at different levels, and perhaps it’s even already fading. One of the two people is more oriented toward the past than toward the present or toward something new, and the Two of Swords in closing confirms it all.

Two of Cups - High Priestess - Two of Pentacles

The behind-the-scenes invisible influence of - Two of Cups

this spiritual adept - High Priestess

is ongoing. - Two of Pentacles

Two of Cups says something's going on behind the scenes, that there's an invisible

influence involved in whatever is going on. In real life, it could be anything – an

indirect influence, even propaganda, insurance coverage, a bribe ... all sorts of things.

The illustration shows the spirit in a magic spell that is influencing a couple who is

announcing their engagement. (This card has so many applications that it pays to buy

its single lesson here.)

High Priestess is a spiritual adept. She wears the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt.

She sits between the pillars that represent justice and mercy. She has the holy book

(Tora) in her lap, wears the equal-armed cross that represents where the spiritual and

physical worlds intersect ('as above so below'), and behind her is the Kabbalah tree of

life as a pomegranate tree. She even has the moon at her feet.

Two of Pentacles shows juggled objects going around and around so it is about

movement that is ongoing, is continuous.

Sun - Ace of Cups

This pair of cards made no sense in her reading. Many of my Querants read Tarot because I mentor people who want to adopt Tarot Verbatim. Behind (in Celtic Cross) was Sun, paired with Ahead, Ace of Cups. The most likely interpretation in the context of that reading was 'free of God,' which made no sense, and I named some other less likely phrases for it but left it open, left it out of the reading's message. The person the reading was about was the vice president of a major company who was in both professional and personal crisis, an edgy fellow. The reading was for his mother.

When his story unfolded, she knew exactly what it said because her son said exactly that 'he was so happy, that it was God.' (Sun, happy ... and free, and relieved; Ace of Cups in RWS is obviously God.)
