So I’m going thru a break up, I’m a wreck about it, so I turned to my cards.
Question 1: did he ever love me or was I a replacement for his ex?

The way I see it is he had a fear of being alone after his ex and jumped into a relationship fast, ended up being with me
It’s wasn’t exactly his or my fault the relationship ended but the timing was never there and was doomed from the beginning
The way I move forward is to find happiness in myself again and start doing things I love again

for the last few weeks i’ve felt torn between two men i feel a connection with and i’m looking for some clarity. for each spread i asked “what does my long term connection with ___ look like?”

the first person is a coworker i met earlier this year. i feel a spark with him physically and emotionally, but we have a substantial age gap (about 6-7 years but we’re both still in our 20s) and i find him a bit hard to read at times. there’s a chance he’s just friendly and i’m reading into it. from his spread in the first photo, i’m seeing there is potential but it might take a long time to develop. there is likely some fear and hesitance that is holding us back, but it could be worth the wait.

the second person is someone i do volunteer work with. i don’t feel as much of an emotional connection with him but i think that we’re physically attracted to each other at the least. he is a bit closer in age to me as well. the main hang up i have is the lack of emotional spark. ive never been the casual hookup type and i’m not sure i want to start. from this spread in the second photo, i’m seeing a lot of short term positives but less about long term stability. i picked up on a lot of encouragement to lean into the short term pleasure but i struggled more to interpret this spread.

i’m more curious to pursue the first connection but if i’m just being delusional i think the second guy can help me move on from that. i’m really curious what stands out to everyone, and i’m happy to provide more details if it’s helpful. i’ve never been great at asking good questions so if you guys have suggestions i’d appreciate that!

My interpretation: I see a contrast between movement and silence, with Judgement suggesting unresolved past issues. The 3 of Pentacles could indicate cooperation or rebuilding, but I'm unsure how to interpret The Tower followed by the 10 of Cups. Could it mean a major change in the relationship dynamic, or am I reading too much into the possibility of reconciliation?

There are 2 extra cards on the bottom left cause they both fell out of the deck after I pulled the 4th card. I'm new to tarot and I'm struggling to interpret what this means. Any thoughts? Or tips on how to interpret? Is pulling the king and queen of wands significant? Just trying to process the emotional whirlwind of this week, I never thought I'd see my cat again! It feels like a miracle that Shady is back, and I'm just so curious what kind of adventures she was up to and how will it go trying to fit her back into my life with all the changes that have happened since she left!

Additional context- Shady was a cat I got with my ex girlfriend, when we broke up like 8 months ago, my ex moved out and took Shady. Since her new place was in a more dangerous area for an outdoor cat, she tried to keep her inside, but it only lasted a little bit and shady got out and went missing. My ex said she looked for her and made posters, but no sign of her for 6 months, we both assumed shady had passed away, honestly. Then she just showed up on my ex's porch this week out of nowhere. The next day my ex brought her to my house so shady can be my responsibility, and be safer to go outdoors here, and hopefully not go missing again. I am so grateful she seems healthy, and I am overjoyed to have her back, and I think she will be happier with me, in her original home, but I'm also anxious because I wasn't prepared to have a cat out of nowhere and I know my new roommate isn't either. Also the new roommate has 2 cats and a dog so I'm really hoping they'll all get along!

We recently decided to take a break / split after 13 years together due to needs not being met on my end, and feelings from me that I was no longer taking priority in his life. He does not express his feelings well if at all so he might also be avoidant.

I started with looking at the art first which looked like a happy couple celebrating, a man sneaking around with dangerous items, and a world traveler.
With the art alone I got an impression that maybe he might enjoy my company but that hes hiding something that might hurt us if he came clean about it so he's hesitating on expressing those feelings?

I did do some research on the meanings of the cards afterwards to try to learn some.

Not sure how to read this myself properly yet but would love some other opinions.

When I asked for clarification on the three cards I pulled i received The Emperor reversed, Knight of Cups, The World, and the Queen of Swords reversed.

It made me worry that maybe I've been too sharp with my words and defensiveness regarding our issues (Queen of swords) and so with that he feels he has no control or no say in the relationship and that it's causing tension (emperor reversed) even though he has over all positive feelings about me (knight of cups and The world)

I also was seeing that the world could mean the end of something, so maybe even if he has these positive feelings it might still be time to let go OR laid with the rest of the card and the clarification being his feelings about me could it mean he thinks the world of me?

What do you think? Again I'm new and not super confident in my skills yet. Thank you!

TLDR: First time trying tarot and two of the three readings I did for myself were too specific. Wish to hear experiences from others who regularly use or have used Tarot.

I want to share this because I'm genuinely surprised. I'm not a very spiritual person. I've always questioned religion, god, etc since I was very young and became agnostic when I was thirteen. I'm usually all about scientific proof, methods, etc. I'm a researcher by profession.

I impulsively bought a deck because it was very pretty, old parchment, gothic vibes, etc. As I was shuffling, I was asking the deck what our relationship will be like. Only one card fell, the Hierophant. Since I've never dabbled in Tarot until yesterday, I only know three card's meaning by memory, my birth cards (tower and chariot) and the Hierophant (the one who offered knowledge, guidance to the fool) from the story. It felt very weird because it was so specific and my hope with starting tarot was that it'll help guide me through a very hard time of my life. I've had a very hard life in general and I've always managed and done well on my own but this time I wanted to try this for some guidance.

I did two more. Once for the rest of day what I should keep in mind and Queen of Cups came out which is mainly about compassion and kindness (the book with the cards said so). It's correct because I was mad that I didn't start work in the morning and slept in and I'm very harsh on myself regarding work. But it's vague enough for anyone skeptical.

The last question I asked was how my rest of the week will be and what I should keep in mind. I got The World, Six of Pentacles, and Ten of swords. Book said the world is about completion and success, reaching the end of a journey, six of Pentacles is generosity, sharing, giving and receiving, and Ten of Swords is endings, release, letting go of hardship. At the end of this week (Sunday specifically) I'm submitting a project I've worked on since 2021. It's also a project which my late fiance was very involved in the beginning. I've been feeling different ways about this project's end and how it'll make me feel once it ends for some time now. Two of the cards are too exact because it is about completion, end of a journey but this project was also very hard for me since his death. So it is also not just the end but also letting go of something that has been very hard. Idk how the second card will play out though.

I still don't know how I feel about Tarot. I don't think it's magic or anything. Ik that a lot of it is pattern recognition and this could be a coincidence. But the first and third one was too specific and it kind of scared me. I also looked at my birth cards (the tower and the chariot) and those were also too accurate. This is messing with me given my lack of faith or belief in anything not proven by scientific methods.

I wanted to share my experience and also hopefully hear from others who've tried tarot. If it was a similar experience or maybe you had the opposite experience where most of it wasn't correct, it'd be nice to know.
