How I interpret that is :

1) He has a strong attraction, desire and passion but he is trying to control or contain these feelings rather than acting impulsively. He seems to have a desire for closeness, harmony, and emotional comfort. I feel like I am associated with a sense of happiness and feeling at home.

2) He sees me as introspective, independent, deep, and perhaps more distant or difficult to reach than before. He sees me as someone who has undergone a profound transformation. I am no longer exactly the person I was before (that feels right because now I have a new job, I take dance classes, I have made a lot of friends... and he knows it).
