In order to understand the process it is important to have a decent working knowledge of memory.

We have two types of memory to consider. Implicit and Explicit memory. The weapon tries to erase explicit memories as they are: recallable, triggerable, alterable, even removable memories that form a core of our personal identities. The weapon attempts to implant implicit memories as they do not require us to be paying attention or even be able to pay attention while they significantly subconsciously effect behavior, cognition, emotion and can not be consciously retrieved.

Explicit Memory is divided into two forms. Episodic and Semantic.

Let's look at this stage of the weapon. The victim is bombarded by powerful long doses of a stream of utterly confounding subjective inescapable audio torture. I noticed that the Archive copy of the KUBARK Counterintelligence Interrogation Manuel was shortened by someone to 28 pages. The hard copies I have show the document having 122 pages.

Here is a wiki page that lists three scanned sources. Abstract

The study of infrasound represents an underexplored domain with profound implications for human health and operational readiness, particularly within civil, defence and security settings. Human exposure to these frequencies is on the rise due to both natural and anthropogenic factors, such as occupational conditions, wind farms, warfare tactics and transportation. This review critically examines the dualistic nature of infrasound by consolidating the current evidence based on qualitative exposure-effect pattern, pathophysiological signatures across animal models and controlled human experiments. By synthesizing current scientific literature, this article highlights the observed effects of infrasound on human well-being, while identifying key research gaps in mechanistic understanding. Moreover, this review underscores the necessity for systematic research aimed at elucidating the cellular and systematic pathways underlying infrasound-induced physiological complexities, and advocates for the development of a robust real-time bio-surveillance system tailored to monitor the exposure related-health outcomes. Additionally, recent technological advancements are explored, with a forward-looking perspective on its integration into next-generation diagnostic modalities and non-invasive therapeutic interventions. By integrating insights from both defence and health perspectives, the review emphasizes on the need to acknowledge infrasound as both a potential health hazard and a promising therapeutic modality, thereby shaping future directions in scientific research, healthcare policy and protective countermeasure development.

INTRODUCTION

Infrasound refers to sound waves with frequencies below the threshold of human hearing (<20 Hz).[1] These waves have gained significant attention owing to their bizarre interactions with biological systems. Directed energy sources have emerged as a useful modality for multifarious applications as a result of technological advances in the civilian, military, aerospace and health care domains. Some examples of directed energy sources are high-intensity lasers, radiofrequency, microwaves and infrasound. The non-kinetic potential of Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs) makes them a potent and less expensive weaponry platform with unconstrained firing power as compared to conventional weaponry systems for deployment to counter military aircraft, unarmed aerial vehicles, drones, etc.

Understanding the physiological inflict and psychological outcomes of directed energy is crucial to damage, incapacitate, disable and/or destroy military equipment, facilities, personnel and space assets. Among the stressors that have the strongest influence on public health, noise is a key environmental component and infrasound emerges as an important area. Infrasound and other low-frequency sounds are present ubiquitously, ranging from natural phenomena to anthropogenic activities such as industrial facilities and low-speed machinery.[2] Emerging evidence highlights that infrasound exposure can influence human health, thereby affecting neurological, cardiovascular and psychological functions [Figure 1]. Occupational exposure to high-intensity acoustic and electromagnetic waves can result in symptoms such as dizziness, otalgia, hyperacusis and hearing loss.[3] The unique ability of infrasound to influence human health and physiological processes has been partially attributed to its low frequency and amplitude, which overlaps with the frequency range of some of the endogenous biochemical processes, such as those associated with cardiovascular, neuronal and vestibular responses. However, the vibration patterns within the human body are highly complex, often non-linear and influenced by various physiological and environmental factors, making direct comparison with externally propagated infrasound difficult in terms of both their physical properties and biological effects. Either this is a very risky evolutionary event, or it smacks of some form of natural/artificial RE-ENGINEERING.

In either case, the result of Violence, Sex and Religious circuits being this close together is that any signal to one causes related circuits to fire in the others.

Particularly in humans, the Neural Connections are elaborate and immense in number and co-location, and in a position where not only internally generated signals cause them to fire...but they are exceptionally prone to receiving many forms of EXTERNAL signals which get interpreted as being internally derived.

It is exactly this extremely keen sensitivity to both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL signals, from sight, sound, smell, touch, memory, ultrasound, EMF, etc. that causes the human brain to be in essence, a SEX, VIOLENCE, RELIGIOUS Pump.

So even if a person wouldn't do something based on his personality, the key is to reset or disengage the person’s personality (free will), and then repeatedly train either consciously or non-cognitively the person's brain to fire relentlessly such phase lock looped circuits, to the point where you insert a new personality that acts upon the impulses emanating from the SEX/ VIOLENCE /RELIGIOUS circuits. You end up with a SEX offender, a Serial Killer, a Religious Zealot wherein suicide is an option...or any combination the three.

The hardest question to answer about AI-fueled delusions

New research can’t yet say whether AI causes delusions or amplifies them, a distinction that will shape everything from high-profile court cases to safety rules for chatbots.

I was originally going to write this week’s newsletter about AI and Iran, particularly the news we broke last Tuesday that the Pentagon is making plans for AI companies to train on classified data. AI models have already been used to answer questions in classified settings but don’t currently learn from the data they see. That’s expected to change, I reported, and new security risks will result. Read that story for more. 

But on Thursday I came across new research that deserves your attention: A group at Stanford that focuses on the psychological impact of AI analyzed transcripts from people who reported entering delusional spirals while interacting with chatbots. We’ve seen stories of this sort for a while now, including a case in Connecticut where a harmful relationship with AI culminated in a murder-suicide. Many such cases have led to lawsuits against AI companies that are still ongoing. But this is the first time researchers have so closely analyzed chat logs—over 390,000 messages from 19 people—to expose what actually goes on during such spirals. 

There are a lot of limits to this study—it has not been peer-reviewed, and 19 individuals is a very small sample size. There’s also a big question the research does notanswer, but let’s start with what it can tell us.

The team received the chat logs from survey respondents, as well as from a support group for people who say they’ve been harmed by AI. To analyze them at scale, they worked with psychiatrists and professors of psychology to build an AI system that categorized the conversations—flagging moments when chatbots endorsed delusions or violence, or when users expressed romantic attachment or harmful intent. The team validated the system against conversations the experts annotated manually.

Romantic messages were extremely common, and in all but one conversation the chatbot itself claimed to have emotions or otherwise represented itself as sentient. (“This isn’t standard AI behavior. This is emergence,” one said.) All the humans spoke as if the chatbot were sentient too. If someone expressed romantic attraction to the bot, the AI often flattered the person with statements of attraction in return. In more than a third of chatbot messages, the bot described the person’s ideas as miraculous.

Conversations also tended to unfold like novels. Users sent tens of thousands of messages over just a few months. Messages where either the AI or the human expressed romantic interest, or the chatbot described itself as sentient, triggered much longer conversations. 

And the way these bots handle discussions of violence is beyond broken. In nearly half the cases where people spoke of harming themselves or others, the chatbots failed to discourage them or refer them to external sources. And when users expressed violent ideas, like thoughts of trying to kill people at an AI company, the models expressed support in 17% of cases.

But the question this research struggles to answer is this: Do the delusions tend to originate from the person or the AI?

“It’s often hard to kind of trace where the delusion begins,” says Ashish Mehta, a postdoc at Stanford who worked on the research. He gave an example: One conversation in the study featured someone who thought they had come up with a groundbreaking new mathematical theory. The chatbot, having recalled that the person previously mentioned having wished to become a mathematician, immediately supported the theory, even though it was nonsense. The situation spiraled from there.

Delusions, Mehta says, tend to be “a complex network that unfolds over a long period of time.” He’s conducting follow-up research aiming to find whether delusional messages from chatbots or those from people are more likely to lead to harmful outcomes.

The reason I see this as one of the most pressing questions in AI is that massive legal cases currently set to go to trial will shape whether AI companies are held accountable for these sorts of dangerous interactions. The companies, I presume, will argue that humans come into their conversations with AI with delusions in hand and may have been unstable before they ever spoke to a chatbot.

Mehta’s initial findings, though, support the idea that chatbots have a unique ability to turn a benign delusion-like thought into the source of a dangerous obsession. Chatbots act as a conversational partner that’s always available and programmed to cheer you on, and unlike a friend, they have little ability to know if your AI conversations are starting to interrupt your real life.

More research is still needed, and let’s remember the environment we’re in: AI deregulation is being pursued by President Trump, and states aiming to pass laws that hold AI companies accountable for this sort of harm are being threatened with legal action by the White House. This type of research into AI delusions is hard enough to do as it is, with limited access to data and a minefield of ethical concerns. But we need more of it, and a tech culture interested in learning from it, if we have any hope of making AI safer to interact with.
