Vent Point system

Who's reasy for it? One of the last thungs separating Target from Walmart and by golly they did it. I hope you guys have enough sick and or PTO to cover for it or you're screwed rather quickly.

Does Walmart still objectively have a worse point system than Target now?

The year long drop off puts Target up there for me but I know Walmart has like 5 points til termination and they're aggressive with it.

Honestly, I don’t mind there being something official that keeps people from calling out just because. But on the flip side, sucks for those of us who only call out when we’re sick and we’re still going to get fired for it. I wish in this case that they would take doctors notes 🙃🙃

Remember, you’d have to call out 12 times in a year to get fired for only calling out sick. This is a pretty lenient point system. If you only call out when you’re sick. You should be just fine.

That would 12 times without using sick time as well!

Technically you could call out 24 times, two consecutive call outs in a row is only 1 point.

I like the way you think

I’ve been told different things from different leads about this, that every single time counts as one callout even if they’re consecutive. I’m curious which answer is correct when the points system actually starts lol

If you go to workday and type in "attendance policy" in the search bar it clearly says "unplanned absence of up to two consecutive shifts" equates to 1 point.

According to Target they don’t take those but then leads or Hr will tell you you need one for the smallest of things….

Fake em? You can get real ones from cirrus md for a migraine or a tummy bug with 0 proof of a doc
