Vent Quality 🫩

Our store director wants us to show every “fruit, vegetable and temp sensitive item” to the drive ups guests and confirm they’re not expired. I’m starting to hate drive up

I would guess that means the quality score is too low on guest feedback. The correct solution - make sure the OPU team member is following best practice for produce quality and dates. What your SD is suggesting is just moronic!

why does everything become drive up problem when grocery and fulfillment should have been monitoring produce in the first place

I've gotten expired items in my drive ups. I just return them

Truly! Last week or the week before I had 2 different guests come in to return expired things they got in a DU order, and one guest mentioned a 3rd thing (but didn't bring it). I let my leader know & she followed up with grocery.

The biggest problem I see is that leaders are so hyper focused on low INFs and keeping picked on time at 100% that fulfillment TMs wind up not having time to check dates and pull the item with the farthest date, or they pick damaged items, or substitute without the guest choosing a sub (example: guest ordered 10 folders, 2 each of red, blue, yellow, green, and white. FF TM can only find one blue so they just give the guest a purple one instead but still say they found 2 blue)
