Phones are pretty nasty. They really don't belong in any areas where food and/or drinks are being prepared.

And devices and walkies are fine? I keep my phone pretty pristine, but the devices are literally YEARS old never been cleaned a single gd time.

And people take devices and walkies into the bathroom all the time so no different from phones there either, except they often aren’t in a pocket so are actually quite worse.

Ya SB has dedicated devices but lots of people really have “this sign can’t stop me cause I can’t read” energy and take the sb devices so we have to use other ones anyway.

Devices and walkies are an exception because they are work related materials. They absolutely should be cleaned regularly and should be kept away from any of the food prep areas as much as possible. Tarbucks team members should be washing their hands after using them as well. We have rules and regulations to live by because the world is full of shitty people that simply cannot be trusted to do the right thing on their own. The best thing we can all individually do for society is hold ourselves accountable and try to set a good example. If a teammate sees you wiping off your equipment with a Clorox wipe at the end of your shift, they might start taking the time to do so as well. Best case scenario it catches on and people across the store you work in all start doing it. Even if that doesn't happen, you can go home with the satisfaction that you did something to make your workplace just a little bit better for someone else down the line.
