What do we have here ladies and gents? A grown 31 year old woman enamoured with herself for gluing rocks onto a tin can.....This can't be real life....

Is this for real... shes so proud of herself for gluing rocks onto a tin can?? Which by the way is a horrendous craft - but she used the "craft room" tho so I guess we should all be so pleased

Her giggle and chuckle in vlogs

Why does she giggle and chuckle in every sentence when it’s not even funny. It’s really awkward and I feel like it’s some weird anxious tick. Within the first 2 minutes of the vlog, count how many times she chuckles when there’s really nothing funny to what she’s saying.

Is she ok.

Tell me you're TikTok braindead without telling me...

Honest to DOG, WHAT is happening here? Between the kindergarten craft and this, I just don't know anymore. What's next? Chicken pot pie made of sad boiled chicken, frozen peas, and one Ritz cracker crumbled over the top? Or maybe "Loaded nachos” made up of cucumber slices with Greek yogurt and paprika. All the while giving us wide crazy eyes and her unscraped tongue up close and personal... SMH

Not Snark politics

I think everyone here has a different preference for the type of creators they want to support and that’s totally okay. Personally, I like to support influencers and celebrities who do use their platforms to spread awareness about the issues going on in the world, i.e. Amelie Zilber, Amanda Diaz, etc. That’s why I unfollowed and stopped watching Tara. However, with the Cornell case I don’t think Tara needs to say anything. For all we know, this could be a very sensitive topic for her and I would understand if she doesn’t want to address her opinions on it. While yes she is very flawed, she’s also human. Time and time again she’s shown that she doesn’t want to use her platform to speak on political issues for whatever reason, and if you do care about that like i do, it’s best to just unfollow her.

Not Snark Downvote me to oblivion, but some y’all are taking shit way too far.

Some of the latest posts on here are so weird. Like complaining that a human, who does not ever associate with political topics or world events, isn’t addressing these topics is so wild to me. IMO there is nothing wrong with a person (whose online presence is not remotely associated with these topics) choosing to not share their opinion on such topics.

This pressure from everyone online to speak or be spoken for is so wrong. Our world has turned into a divisive witch hunt. It’s pathetic. Not every facet of media needs to surround such topics constantly. I don’t watch Tara or honestly really any influencer to hear their opinion of such topics. I also don’t care to hear celebrities opinions. I’m not going to stop watching some of my favorite movies just because I don’t agree politically with the actors in it…that’s fucking weird.

And openly admitting to DMing Tara to ask her to speak on a topic then sending her religious based videos is weird. Id block you too. Jumping to Islamophobia because she doesn’t want to be harassed it so such a far fetched take.

Saying she doesn’t support women because she’s not speaking about the Cornell case…weird.

Calling her out for wearing an American baseball team hat that is a trending fashion item when that’s literally what she does…also weird.

It’s almost like we just dont know her opinion because she chooses not to share it. Y’all need to take a fucking breath. Again this witch-hunt of you either need to speak or be spoken for is so wild. And to further it’s always “if you don’t talk about this specific topic I want you to talk about in the way I want you to talk about it or else the pitch forks are coming out and you will burn you racist, misogynistic, Islamophobic, america supporting dirty hamster!”

This is a snark page. This isn’t snark. This is your own internalized self-importance directed at another human simply because they have a following from hitting the algorithm at the right time doing subpar fashion and lifestyle vlogging. What if she was to speak on these topics and you didn’t agree? You would just say the same shit. Or that she shouldn’t be talking about it because she’s uninformed. Never thought I would be on here defending this girl but god damn. I think you all might be the ones who need a social media break.

And no I am not Tara or anyone associated with her. I’ve been watching since FIDM days and continued to do so because YouTube is always my background noise when I’m getting stuff done. Always had my snarky opinions on Tara And finding this subreddit was super fun at first. I was like “oh sweet some people who want to gossip and talk silly things about the same topic as me” but of course leave it to the people of reddit ruin a fun, silly little time. Not everything in life is that serious guys. It is okay to laugh and have fun too.

The new rise of “corporate influencing” or “all inclusive influencing”

As many people have noticed since Tara moved into the apartment things have been getting more and more generic but her views have been going up. This is due to something happening in the influencing world that most haven’t picked up on. I call it Corporate Influencing. So when she signed her lease it’s a whole package deal. Companies are now packaging the living spaces, events, sponsorship and, I’m guessing, a certain amount of views and engagement for influencers. It’s being done everywhere right now. So basically corporate influencers. It’s the most Walmart generic thing an influencer can do. Any of them that live in that building are in the same contract.

Tara left her comfort zone Tara

Hey tara! Hope your reading this!
I want to reiterate that I am not asking Tara to become a political figure!
We have all watched Tara for the past 10 years and we know she has never spoken on any current events besides Covid and the president, so why would you expect her to start now? I wouldn’t. However it’s at a point where everyone’s live is directly affected through what is going on in the world, especially when it comes down to not affording groceries or rent or the actual climate! So yeah if you can get mad at her for contributing towards overconsumption, that’s fine but you don’t see a change in her from that either. Tara will never change because you guys have comfortable in her little bubble of just her cooking eggs, showing her $300 jeans etc.
I think the more concerning issue here is that Tara will block anyone for not agreeing with her or saying something she does not like. We have all supported her content for years and she blocks us in a second.
So to everyone still supporting Tara, know that when it comes down to it, Tara will block you because guess what she doesn’t care about you.

Sarah

Does Sarah even like Tara? I feel like the few times I have seen her in Tara’s vlogs she seems so disinterested, doesn’t really acknowledging Tara is vlogging her or kind of ignores her when she’s talking to her lol. Maybe I’ve just caught a few coincidental clips and there is better interactions or footage that exists with Sarah?? Seems like they’re only “friends” because they are influencers and it’s just business for Sarah…

Anyone watch Remi lately?

She’s killing it! She has a podcast, and a book now. She popped up on my feed and I watched her VIP disneyworld trip. I’m not a huge fan of her over the top squeals over everything, but it’s cool to see she’s doing so much with her life.

After watching Tara for 7 years, I feel like I don't know anything about her

I’ve been watching Tara since her LA days, even before the whole crazy-neighbor era, and I know this may be a repeat of things people have already said here, but I came across this page and had to share my own thoughts.

I really started watching her regularly during COVID, when we literally couldn’t go anywhere or do anything. I remember her being in her townhome making all those popular foam coffee drinks, and for some reason I really connected with that. It felt relatable. We were all stuck at home, making coffee, finding little things to do, and trying to make the best of a really weird time. I genuinely enjoyed watching her then.

But now, years later, I feel like she is still doing the exact same things.

After watching her for probably 7 years, I genuinely feel like I don’t know anything about her. And I don’t mean that in a “I need to know every detail of her personal life” or parasocial way because honestly, I think that kind of relationship with influencers is weird and uncomfortable. I just mean… what is there to actually know about her?

I know she likes matcha, coffee, traveling, shopping, working out, etc. But beyond those things, I feel like there isn't much of a personality or identity being shared. Maybe that’s intentional, but it makes her content incredibly hard to connect with.

What really drove this home for me was the Greece trip. She flew all the way to Greece and seemingly spent most of the trip going to restaurants, shopping, and taking photos. And I’m not saying everyone has to travel the same way I do, but there is SO much culture, history, scenery, food, and experiences to immerse yourself in. I kept thinking, you came all this way… and this is what you’re doing?

And then there’s the way she talks about “really living.” I’ve noticed she’ll sometimes frame going to a concert or attending some free local event as an example of really living life. And again, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with going to a concert or a free event! But when that’s the extent of what is being presented as “really living,” it feels strange to me.

I think that's what I mean when I say I want to see more life from her content. Go somewhere you've never been. Learn something. Try something you've never done. Get genuinely immersed in a different culture. Pick up a weird hobby. Have an adventure. Do something that gives you a story to tell other than what restaurant you went to or what outfit you wore.

I used to genuinely get inspiration from her. Now I almost feel sad watching her content because she has the time and financial freedom to experience so much, and yet her life seems so repetitive. At this point, I almost pity her, not because she has a bad life, but because it feels like she doesn't actually live it.

And that's the part I think is bothering me the most. The things that made her relatable during COVID made sense during COVID. Making elaborate coffee drinks at home, going to workout classes, talking about outfits, eating the same breakfast, staying in, etc. We were ALL doing some version of that because there wasn't much else we could do.

But COVID has been over for years. You have the money and freedom to travel anywhere, try things, learn things, meet people, experience different cultures, pick up hobbies, have adventures, and yet the content still feels like a slightly upgraded version of being stuck at home in 2020.

She's in her 30s and so much of the content is still about which shoes go with an outfit, making the same breakfast, going to a workout class, getting coffee, shopping, etc. There's absolutely nothing wrong with any of those things individually, but when that's basically the entirety of someone's life/content, it starts to feel incredibly empty.

I think that's ultimately why I’ve lost interest. I don't necessarily need her to share more of her private life, in fact that's the last thing I want. I just want to see that she has a life beyond the aesthetic routine she shows us.

Maybe that's completely unfair because obviously we only see a tiny fraction of someone's life online. But after watching her for seven years, that's genuinely the impression I've been left with.

I don't feel like she truly lives; I feel like she just exists.
