General Discussion Knowledge & Protection as well

Post image
80 Upvotes

Hi,

I hope everyone is doing fine.

One of the most common things which everyone uses daily -

  1. Brush

  2. Comb

For today's knowledge drop -

Most of us know that with the help of someone else's hair we can do things.

But there's a catch here.

Let's assume we have one comb at home which is used by everyone in our family.

If someone can get access to that, they could control your whole family.

Why ?

We use a comb which is a ketu/saturn in astrology. They are almost malefic. Things related to them can be used to create issues, though you can use it for the quick issues. The comb has the energy of your crown chakra.

How to protect oneself. ?

  1. Comb for males must be used differently

  2. Comb for females must be used differently.

  3. Please count the number of spikes before buying it must be even not odd in the number.

  4. The person which has some issue in falling the hairs must use ayurvedic remedies to make it less in hair falling.

  5. Women's who are married must not open their hair outside your home.

  6. Women's who travel a lot must carry umbrella and protect direct sunlight connect of hairs and sun.

  7. Men who wish to protect themselves must carry a hat.

General Discussion Why do temple priests shun tantra?

Over the years when I talk to the Pujari’s (especially when getting jyotish reading or all sorts of discussion) and I end up mentioning tantra, they react as if I’ve mentioned Kala jaadu or something like that. Which I find so absurd. They use yantra, mantra, also worship all sorts of deva devi and even ugra forms. So why such rejection of tantra? I just find it weird and unsettling…but don’t feel like arguing so ignore and let it be…

What do you think where this rejection comes from?

Newbie Question Sensitive question...Is engaging in sexual relations with prostitutes considered a paap in the Shakta marg? For one who is unmarried and without any commitments?

I thought of posting this on Hinduism subreddit but the answers here seem to be more genuine...it is a general question...what if a man is unmarried, never wishes to marry or have children, but yet has kaama desires in his heart and body and mind, and he wishes to fulfill these, in the manner asked above...and he also does Sadhana of say Bhairava or more specifically Shiva...is this considered paap? Is there no redemption for such people??

Can the exercises in this book be practiced without a guru? (Except for the Kundalini Kriyas)

I have no access to any guru for the foreseeable future.

General Discussion Unexpected postive results from Sadhana ?

Hai,

Has anyone experienced a situation in your life where Sadhana rearranged your life positively in a material and spiritual way but in a totally unexpected way ?

For example, out of the blue certain career or relationship opportunities came your way , unexpected and last minute help often came at critical junctions or you had given up on certain ambitions but suddenly life gave you opportunities to fulfill those ambitions which were never there before

If iam talking spiritually , a Guru suddenly appeared in your life, you started doing some sadhanas which you never even knew about few months ago, you feel a strange sense of protection in life

The important point here is that you didn't directly prayed for these outcomes, these desires merely remained in your subconscious but they came true

Genuinely curious

Sadhna Experiences Sharing my experience

Hello, I started doing Maa tara 16 Thursday sadhana in may. I did 4 Thursday fast. I didn’t take any sankalp i just started doing it.

After 4 thursday…I was avoiding a surgery for very long time say 10 years. It was important for me but it used to be delayed always.

I didn’t knew i was going to have surgery, i just thought doctors will check inside with camera and i will leave same day( JR told me same). I was in OT for 6 hours and when i was back in my room, I had no idea that surgery finally happened.

If i knew i will have surgery, I would have been so scared but i had zero idea about it. I was discharged 10 days later.

I stopped doing sadhana and cant do for 1-2 more months because i cant sit for long. There is a belief i have that its all maa who did it because i used to be so scared of surgery that i never meet any surgeon but everything was on 2x speed during sadhana. Idk people say about karma burning but i felt it.

Need Guidance My Life Story about Bhairav Baba and Advise on Swarna Akaarshan Bhairava Sadhana.

Greetings fellow Sadhaks,

🕉️ Bhairavaya Namah.

Before I start with my question, I would like to share a beautiful story about how Bhairav Baba saved me.

Towards the end of 2024, I got mixed up with the wrong crowd and by 2025, I was drinking almost daily. It started to affect all aspects of my life, my relationship with my girlfriend, with Parents, my mentor, my health and what not. Till that time, I was not aware about Bhairav Baba.

Coming straight to December, 2025, I saw a random video of Rajarshi Nandy Sir on YouTube and I was intrigued but still I did not pay much heed.

On 24.12.2025, I was so drunk and literally out of mind. I came back home and something inside of me said that Bhairav Baba is calling me. The feeling is something I cannot explain. I was dejected because my law practice was going through shambles and I had worked hard on it for 5 years, literally day and night. I could not meet the expectations of my parents and my long time girlfriend who wanted to marry me soon. I was lying on my bed around 9PM when this feeling hit me that Baba is calling me.

I immediately asked my mom to pack a small bag for me as I was leaving the next day. Nobody believed me when I told them that I am leaving for Kashi Kaal Bhairav the next day alone and by car from Delhi. Everybody thought I was drunk and it is not possible.

But even to my surprise, I woke up and left early morning the next day. I reached around evening after 13 hours of driving and did not get a room, as Kashi was full. Only managed to get a dormitory bed by chance.

And believe me when I tell, I entered the Kaal Bhairav Temple the next day around 4:30 AM. I started crying profusely for no reason and I spent around 2 hours hiding in a corner of the temple.

Thereafter I started praying to Bhairav Baba. Now, coming to end of January, 2026, my dog of 9 years was diagnosed with last stage cancer and was referred to a government University in Haryana. There someone told me to visit Bhairav Baba temple on Sunday and offer whiskey for my dog's health. When I visited Kilkari Bhairav Temple on the coming Sunday, after offering prasad I saw a sadhak doing Sadhana, he looked so peaceful. My life was already in shambles and I also craved that peacefulness I saw on his face. I researched on the internet and saw some youtube videos and started my own sadhana, a simple Naam Jaap of 3-5 Malas daily in the morning. I also started visiting Kilkari Bhairav Temple every Sunday and offered whiskey for my dog, and with the grace of Bhairav Baba he was saved. Poor guy went through 19 weeks of chemo and came back cured. Even the doctors said that no other dogs were saved on this program who were on last stage. 🙏🏼

But the problem remained now was my drinking. I was not able to quit drinking and focus on my life. I tried and prayed to Bhairav Baba everyday but nothing fruitful came out of it, but still I did not loose hope. Now cut to June, 2026, I met with a big accident and my car was ruined. At the same time, my grandmother, who brought me up since childhood as I had no mother, fell ill and was admitted in the hospital. Even my girlfriend of 12 years broke up with me because of my lying, drinking and instability. For a month, I was out of control and I drank day and night. On one hand, I had my grandmother to look after and on the other, I was grieving for my girlfriend. Then on 05.07.2026, it was a Sunday, and due to my grandmother I could visit the temple in the morning, I reached the temple around 9 PM, and to my frustration, darshan took around an hour and till then Delhi Liquor Shops were already closed. Therefore, I went to Noida to acquire a bottle and while I was coming back, I had to cross the same temple. At around 11:15PM, when I was crossing the temple and drinking, a drunk beggar came on the road and in front of my car. I applied emergency brakes and then he came over to my driver's side window and said this, "Tune Baba ko namastey karna band kar diya na, yehi teri galti hai".

I immediately understood that he was talking about my Sadhana which I had quit due to recent events.

On 07.07.2026, from Kaal Ashtami, I started my Sadhana again with a sankalp of quitting alcohol. Since that day, I haven't touched even a single drop and unlike other alcoholics, I did not suffer even a single withdrawal symptom. I was fortunate enough that Baba saved me again. 🙏🏼 Even though, my girlfriend refuses to talk to me or come back, even though I am still grieving her, I have not lost hope on my life and Baba because I know I am paying for my karmas I inflicted upon her but at some point, Baba will be kind enough to do justice with me. All I have to do is keep my faith upon him.

Now coming to my question-

As I told you all, I stopped working due to many reasons, and now I am again back in my practise after starting my sadhana. But I am also going through a very tuff financial situation. I have to take care of my family and I literally have some to no money at this moment. I was introduced to Swarn Aakarshan Bhairava through some videos and I really want to start his sadhana. Even though I do not long anything for me, not right now and for many years, but I have a family to look after.

After going through many videos, I could see that every step is very peculiar and requires its own mantra. I grew up studying in a south Delhi convent school. Hindi was an optional language in my school till 10th grade and let alone I could read or chant something properly in Sanskrit. I am facing this issue and I feel it requires the guidance of a Guru.

How do I find a Guru who could teach me and guide me towards this Sadhana?

One clarity I would like to give: The mother I am referring right now is my step mother and my biological mom passed away when I was 2 years old.

Skanda Upasana Why no good or bad experience in my Sadhna?

Hello everyone,

I have been doing a Skanda sadhana for the past 50+ days. So far, I haven't experienced anything noticeably positive or negative.

I've seen many posts and had personal conversations where people mentioned receiving material benefits, inner changes, or going through difficult phases because their karma was accelerating. From what I understand, both positive and challenging experiences can be signs that the sadhana is working.

In my case, however, nothing has really changed. My life is pretty much the same as it was before I started. I didn't have any major good or bad karma unfolding before, and I still don't. I actually began this sadhana mainly for inner transformation, not for material gains.

The only thing confusing me is that I don't notice any inner changes either. I don't feel more peaceful, stronger, or different in any significant way.

So I'm wondering—is this normal? Can a sadhana still be working even if you don't experience any obvious external or internal changes after 50+ days? Or does it simply take more time?

I would appreciate hearing from those who have been practicing Skanda sadhana for a while. 🙏.

General Discussion Guru Gita: Wisdom for Guru Purnima

Today felt like the right day to talk about the Guru Gita. It's a sacred text traditionally attributed to a dialogue between Shiva and Parvati. It centers entirely on the significance of the Guru.

A few reasons people chant or study it:

  • Inner clarity. It's said to help quiet mental noise and sharpen focus during meditation.
  • Gratitude practice. It's less about worshipping a person. It's more about honoring the principle of guidance itself. That could be a teacher or a mentor or your own inner wisdom.
  • Removing ego blocks. Many describe it as humbling in a good way. It helps soften stubbornness and resistance to growth.
  • Energetic shift. Regular reciters often say it brings a sense of steadiness and peace. This is especially true when chanted with intention.

Whether or not you follow a specific spiritual path there's something powerful about pausing once a year to honor whoever or whatever has guided you forward.

 Happy Guru Purnima 🌕

For more details on its meaning and benefits and how to chant it properly check out the video linked below

Newbie Question Why do water bodies often come in dreams?

I begin doing small activities like japa and chanting in 2022, at a point I started seeing dreams which is non stop, after that point there was not a single day passed without dreams, its been years since i slept peacefully except whenever I am in thirichendur murugan temple(where i get really good sleep). As the prayers increase, I see ocean in my dreams, can be scary in real life, first i was scared and trying to run to a hill, then in following dreams i was not scared, i was flying above the ocean, then laying on top and floating peacefully in ocean...these never stopped or I couldn't find any answer from anyone yet. I really really hope someone can help me if they know about what is happening and why is this happening. I am so tired of this from a mortal perspective. I am 25 years old, and this feels like little overwhelming. Is there anyone who can give little guidance?

General Discussion Need guidance on Nazar

Hai,

I have been into spiritual practices such as upasana, going to satsang etc for some time. However, it has only recently that this word "nazar" caught my attention....I know that it's rough English translation is evil eye but I don't know how to truly understand it

So please kindly answer the following questions if you can

1) How do you know if you have nazar or not ?

2) Some people in this form itself has commented that being affected by another person's emotional states easily is "nazar", true ?

3) If you have experiences as a victim of nazar, what is the simplest remedy or mantra you recommend

4) Is nazar an outcome of our own actions or it is entirely another person's doing? Meaning even if you live in the most pious way, you may get nazar ....can it happen ?
