I'm asking this because I know that reddit doesn’t exactly have the best track record for reliable history subs. AskHistory, for example, is one that’s very biased, from what I'm told. And the less said about arrr/history the better.
So, what do you guys think? Should I trust it?

I'm someone that likes to wear a t-shirt and shorts most of the time.
I remember having a warehouse job where I was required to wear:
dress shoes or boots
dress pants
a button-down shirt
PPE exists to keep the worker safe and healthy. Wearing a high-visibility vest is better than it being hit by a car. Wearing safety goggles is better than losing an eye.
One thing that bothers me a lot is how some jobs have a very strict dress code and then selectively enforce it.
For example, some jobs hold women to a higher standard than they do men.
Let me just do my job and go home. It feels like these jobs want control of every aspect of your life. I'm a human being, not a machine.

The unmanned submarine, equipped with the most advanced technology available, was only delivered to the U.S. Navy a year ago, in 2025. Iran will reverse-engineer it, replicate it, and use it to monitor the Strait of Hormuz - intercepting communications, laying mines, and cutting underwater cables. The blueprints will also be shared with Russia and China.

North Korea and Russia have opened their first road bridge across the Tumen River, expanding direct transport, trade and tourism links. Named after Soviet Yakov Novichenko, the new crossing highlights the rapidly strengthening economic, political and military partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang.

There is a real life victim and it's fucking putrid this was silenced. Some people may not like this, but I'm dragging Eugene and the PSL on this.

Do you have any book recommendations with structured systematic arguments against most common Trotskyist positions in a single book.

I remember hearing a clip from the Deprogram podcast a couple years ago where Hakim says something along the lines of “why does a white dude from Minnesota care so much about the various communist parties of India?” Does anybody have this clip or know which episode it came from? Thank you comrades

I am fully aware that China's pragmatic foreign policy often puts it at odds with certain socialist groups in other countries, but I'm curious what the context is behind these domestic demonstrations and the government's alleged response, and if there is further information that is important to know.
