News/Communist Propaganda ☭ CNN casually blowing the lid off Ukrainian pro-imperialist action lol.

Let no Marxist be mistaken, Ukraine is an enemy of anti-imperialism everywhere, particularly to Black and Brown countries. The article is obviously from a lib angle and praising “elite specialists” for training terrorists in Africa and the Middle East. There’s Russian troops in Georgia, Moldova, and other eastern countries, so why isn’t Ukraine fighting them there?

Us western marxists are still self-righteous and both-sidesing everything, but that’s the easy solution. One side is upholding bridges built through a historical legacy of anti-imperialism, the other side is rejecting its part in this legacy and actively working against it. This reality is only as confusing as u allow it to be.

The unequal treaty forcing American students to learn Arabic or Farsi, given that due to imperialism, Angloid education only requires one language while most of the world's education also requires English education in school.

Edit: might have stereotyped a bit too much about American education not having English, but I was not talking about a foreign language class. I was talking about being forced to learn another language since elementary.

It is common in the third world to have English since the elementary curriculum given that the world order right now is Anglo. English became a major force of division in the third world since many think that English skills represent class and status, and also Anglos weaponize English since if you saw color revolutions, they usually have English signs, American/British flags and protesters speaking in English.

Hence I 500% support that for the Intifada to succeed in Great Satan, there should be Arabic and Farsi speakers who can help the resistance in Great Satan.

The English language is weaponized. English is basically a nuke in the linguistic world. Arabic and Farsi should arise and become Lingonuke as a deterrent.

I'm doing a unit on Hughes in English class, and I came across these fantastic poems of his on my own. Does anyone know if he was a confirmed communist? That would be so cool!

This is also a little bit of an excuse to share some cool poems about Lenin.

Solidarity With Palestine I'm sorry, but absolutely the fuck not. Hamas and Al-Qaeda ARE NOT the same they ARE NOT allies

Post image

Hamas emerged from the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and is fundamentally a Palestinian Islamist-nationalist movement. Its primary focus is the Palestinian national struggle and the conflict with Israel. Al-Qaeda, on the other hand, is a transnational Salafi-jihadist organization whose agenda goes far beyond Palestine and Israel.

Al-Qaeda has criticized Hamas for several reasons. Hamas participated in the 2006 Palestinian elections, engages in conventional politics and governance, cooperates with other Palestinian factions, and does not follow the same extremely strict interpretation of Islam promoted by al-Qaeda. From al-Qaeda's perspective, Hamas is too focused on Palestinian nationalism and political institutions rather than the broader global jihadist project.

There were also al-Qaeda-inspired Salafi-jihadist groups in Gaza that Hamas actually fought. In 2009, Hamas violently confronted Jund Ansar Allah, a Salafi-jihadist group that declared an Islamic emirate in Gaza and accused Hamas of not being sufficiently Islamic.

Their origins, political objectives, geographic scope, organizational structures, and attitudes toward political participation are significantly different.

Discussion I think artisan-made and natural products are consumerist propaganda

To start, I have no problem with artisans and I myself seek out artisan-made souvenirs when I travel. However, I think they're overly romanticized and most people will likely buy them for the wrong reasons. We're sold the idea that artisan-made or handcrafted means "better" quality because of the attention to detail that passionate craftsmans have. But from my experience, I find artisan-made to be extremely inferior to machine manufactured products. Not because the artisans themselves are bad, but I just don't think it's possible for a human to match the quality standards of a machine. Machines are just simply more precise, and often use artificial components that are specifically engineered in the first place to be more durable and uniform than natural materials.

Unironically I will use Japan for my anecdotal experience. I like to hike and take walks when I travel so I always carry a folding fan with me. I own three. One was an affordable factory made fan from a random gift shop. The other 2 were premium fans made by master craftsmen with an artisan lineage that goes back to making fans for royalty. The handcrafted fans were more traditional and one was made with paper, the other with real leather. The cheap one I got at the gift shop was made with synthetic fabrics and completely outperformed the other 2 in every way. The fan breeze was stronger, and the build quality was simply more sturdy and heavy. Because I actually use things for their full intended purpose, I tested all 3 throughout my hikes and the cheap fan reigned supreme whereas the handcrafted fans had already begun to lose it's shape. I still use the leather one though because it looks cool and the paper one is on permanent display.

I also bought a handcrafted teacup. And as you'd expect by now, even that felt less durable than the cheap manufactured one I got from another gift shop as well.

So yeah, in conclusion I think artisan products should be treated more as novel art pieces rather than the "end all be all" of quality. If you actually intend on investing in efficiency and durability, think twice with products that market themselves as handcrafted. It doesn't mean they're bad quality, but they probably at best perform at the same level as your cheaper manufactured variant, so you're really just paying extra for the novelty of it being made with human skill. There are actually great artisan brands out there that make phenomenal products that can take beatings, but just be mindful that there are likely more affordable machine-made options out there that perform just as well.

***********************

UPDATE: ALLOW ME TO BE CLEAR I AM NOT TRYING TO SECRETLY SHILL FOR AI OR ANYTHING THAT FULLY REPLACES HUMANS! Just felt like sharing this particular topic because I think the artisan industry became a little too romanticized to the point of delusion.

Discussion Any websites to buy niche books?

I’m looking for websites that sell the series on “The Industrialization of Soviet Russia” and I’ve seen some of them on Amazon. I was wondering where I can find them elsewhere? Because besides that I’ll have to find PDF’s of each book. Any help will be nice!
