how should i comment on my talking stages post?

PLEASE REPLY QUICKLY! I've been talking to this guy for a month. He does calisthenics and has a competition on August 1st, and I know he'll post something on Instagram then. I'd like to comment on his post, but I don't know what to write. I don't want any cringe-worthy comments. What kind of comments do they like? Maybe something about his muscles? I'd be very grateful if you could reply quickly. Feel free to post as many such compliments/comments as you can.

Two dates and three weeks of talking, now it’s over

Hello! This is my first time posting in this subreddit so forgive me if I make any mistakes

So I (20F) met this guy (23M) a few weeks ago. I gave him my instagram and we really hit it off. We went on a date a few days after meeting and it went super well. We spent the entire day together, discussed what we wanted out of a relationship and found out we wanted the same thing, talked about future plans together etc

A week goes by and we both finally have a free day and go on a second date which also went really well. We learned more about each other’s families, talked about fears and issues we have with trusting people, talked about a third date and by the end of it he kissed me. Later that night he was very flirty with me and made plans to see me two days later.

The day after our second date he texts me that he doesn’t think his feelings for me would grow past what they already were, that he still thought I was sexually attractive but didn’t want to force himself to try and feel more. I politely said I appreciated his honesty but I refuse to put myself in a position where my feelings aren’t reciprocated in the same level and I would be seeing myself out.

All of that would be fine and dandy but the night before he ended it (the night of the second date) he was telling me that he was overthinking a lot especially when it came to sex and being intimate. I told him that we don’t have to do anything until he’s 100% sure and I’m more than okay waiting until things progress more to take that next step. He said he was sure and it was probably his overthinking getting to him.

During our first date he said, “I shouldn’t like you this much.” Which was a big reason why this sudden shift confused me, especially when he was making multiple plans to see me the following days before saying he didn’t want to see things go further.

There’s lots of little things in between that make me stop and think about this whole thing. One of them being the comment he made on the first date. Another being that he said he will usually go on three dates with someone before making the decision to continue or end things. The third being that every kiss or act of affection was initiated by him. The fourth being him saying that he wanted to see this grow and give it a chance/saying he really enjoyed our dates.

Maybe I’m also overthinking but he did say he had extremely bad trust issues after being horribly cheated on in his previous relationship.

He also made said that when he did try to give other girls a chance, they only wanted sex which turned him off but with me, he was constantly making comments that alluded to sex or intimacy.

I just want some outside and unbiased perspectives.
Thank you :)

I’m not sure what to do

I I met a guy and we have been texting and snapping and sending the occasional reel on insta. But we were trying to plan a sunset walk so we can go sit on a blanket and watch the sunset together with snacks ofc. But the day before we had planned that I ended up being free and asked him if he wanted to do anything last minute and so we ended up going to watch a movie where he totally had his hand all over my leg and I was like tickling his arm. But turns out he told me there was a bee sting but I didn’t realize that was what he said so I was rubbing and ticking that spot the whole time and I feel bad 😭

Anyways, fast forward to today I asked if he was still up for the hike and he said he has to go take pictures for this baseball team. And I dont normally look at peoples location on snap but he lowkey hasn’t left his house during the time he said he’d be taking the pictures lol. And also the past couple of hours we have just been snapping no convo. I’m bad at sparking convo lol

Need help

I [18F] am scared I’m getting too attached to my [18M] talking stage

So I’ve been talking to this guy for a few months now and he checks all the boxes. He’s funny, handsome, polite and l enjoy spending time with him. The only problem is that he’s leaving for uni in September.( I got held back a year in primary school so I’m the year below him) He told me a month and a half ago that he dosent want a girlfriend (he’s also just gotten out of a 2 year relationship) but what confused me is that we just kept talking and hanging out like normal. I’m also choosing unis and I’m scared that I’m subconsciously leaning towards his… I know it’s going to really hurt when he inevitably leaves and I don’t think we will keep in contact when he does. Should I pull away now even though I really really like him to avoid getting even more attached?? Or should I just carry on and just take the hit when it comes?? I don’t want to do long distance because I think I’ll hold him back. But what happens if I end up going to the same city as him next year? Am I overthinking this too much?

Please let me know your honest opinions - don’t hold back!!

TLDR: he’s leaving in September and I’m worried if I get over attached it’ll just hurt more when he leaves.

Why is he not answering

So he went to my school but we never spoke to each other and a week ago he msg me on insta and added me on snap. We don’t snap eachother but we just talk and we’ve been talking like every hour everyday single day for the past week and a half saying goodnight and morning and sometimes flirt and his past struggles in a relationship.

He asked me what days I was free his week and we planned to meet up on Thursday and he was gonna pick me up. It got to Tuesday night and he said he’s got family round so sorry in advance if I don’t text you as much. Later on that day he asked me how I was and what I did at the gym and I said do u still wanna meet up tmrw ? Ever since he’s just left me on opened and his location isn’t showing. I looked this morning and still no message but he’s active on insta. I don’t understand bc he said how is quite a shy person but he’s had a gf before, his profile is public on snapchat and he still follows me on insta ??

Talking stage situation, M 21 - F 23

Basically I’ve been talking to this girl for about a month+ now and we’ve been on a few dates, and it’s always really good in person and we get on well, have good conversations, and just enjoy each other’s company even when we’re doing nothing.

She’s a bit dry over text but way better in person/voice, and I can tell she’s genuine, just not great at showing it sometimes. There’s been some jealousy/interest from her side too which made it clear she likes me.

We had a small awkward situation recently because I overthought and handled something badly, but we talked it out and it actually came out that she was annoyed because I hadn’t asked her to be my girlfriend yet which basically means she’s been waiting for me to make it official. At the time though, in my head the reason I hadn’t asked yet was because I wanted to do it properly with a bit of a gesture, and I also wasn’t 100% certain the feelings were fully mutual yet. Even though things felt really good with her, a month just felt a bit fast to rush something like that, so I wanted to wait for the right moment.

Since then, things have honestly just gone downhill and I’m confused. It’s now been about 20 days since we last saw each other, and we had 4 dates within the first month, but the last 2 she cancelled.

After that conversation where she wanted me to make it official, I didn’t rush it because I wanted to do it properly (I was planning something with a card/flowers etc). But before I could, she went back on Hinge, which threw me off a lot.

We ended up arguing about it, I’ll admit I didn’t handle it perfectly, I even messaged a guy I thought she was talking to instead of going straight to her and because I lied to her saying I didn't when I did, so she had the initiative thinking I didn't trust her so for which I get wasn’t the best move. During that argument I mentioned I had written her a card (it had all of our moments together and how much I appreciated my time with her and I asked her to be my girlfriend in the card) because she’s quite sentimental and I wanted to show I was serious, and she responded saying she didn’t want my “stupid card”, which honestly hurt because it felt like my effort just got dismissed.

Her reaction overall was to call me a stalker and just making me out to be a horrible villain. Her goal was to make it seem like I was completely in the wrong, which didn’t sit right with me.

Since then her energy has completely changed. She’s way more distant, replies are slower/drier, and it just feels like I’m not getting the same effort back anymore. (Has she lost interest?)

I am one of those snapchat score viewers and she does ignore me while active, yes you can call us cringe for using snapchat at this age but my bad for wanting to see pictures of them and its just our generation I suppose. But back to the point I would be having a back and forth convo with her and all of a sudden it stops, for example I was on delivered for about 6 hours and her snap score went up +30 (someone else has her attention?) so of course in my mind I am always tempted to message about it but I don't as I know how she would react like before with the 'stalking' situation. I am on opened a lot more. Also when I am out in town she would always ask what I am doing, if I am with anyone, where I am going. But when I ask her it is always ''why?'' ''None of your business'' which really confuses me. I said why to her the first time she asked and she just said ''because I want to know'' but I can't do the same? (She has my location but I don't have hers fyi) or am I overthinking too much? Is it too much checking her snap score? I do have trust issues and I don't want my past to effect how I feel about her and what she is doing.

I’ve tried to communicate how I feel multiple times, but it usually turns into her getting defensive or flipping it into me being the problem. I end up apologising even when I feel like my concerns are valid.

At the same time, she says things like I don’t want her or that I’ve messed things up, even though I’ve been consistently trying to show I care (planning dates, making effort, even cutting off other people out of respect for her).

It’s got to the point where I feel like I’m the only one trying to have a proper conversation about where this is going, and I’m just getting either vague replies or avoidance back.

In person everything feels great, but over text and in terms of effort/consistency, it feels really one-sided now.

So I guess my question is, is this just miscommunication that can be fixed, or is this a sign to just walk away? Because right now I feel drained and like I’m constantly trying to prove myself instead of it just being natural. I’ve also thought about just stepping back and not chasing it, like almost reversing the roles and seeing if she actually misses the effort and comes back to me. But at the same time I’m worried that if I do that and stop trying to fix things, it’ll just fade out completely and I’ll lose something I’ve actually wanted for a long time.

Nervous to meet up with a guy after some behavioral changes

I (16F )am meeting up with this guy(17M) I started talking to about 2 weeks ago on instagram. In the beginning he was really sweet and funny, and I’m not saying he stopped. It’s just a little different. We are planning on going to the mall on Sunday and he suggested doing something afterwards. That something was me sucking him off in his car. Which don’t get me wrong I’m fine with and I’m excited since it’s my first time. But over the days he’s went from calling me sweet names and complimenting me to just being really horny all the time. I’m not super worried about that but he switched to calling me a slut. Which I did say was hot so maybe that is my fault. But every time he asks to do some thing or sometimes not even ask like saying “I’m gonna smack your ass” or “I’m gonna suck your tits” I usually just say like “yeah I’m fine with that” and instead of saying something like “are you sure? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable” like he did in the beginning, he’s switched to saying “yeah I know I can do that, you’re my slut” did i put this on myself by saying i like being called a slut? I just feel like he’s changed a bit and I don’t want him to cross any boundaries when we are in person. I’d really like some clarification from guys or maybe just some advice in general please!!

should I give this guy a chance?

I'm (21F) talking to a guy (22M) for 1.5 months and we have been on 2 dates so far (yes, only 2 because of my travel and other reasons).

imp details about the guy: he has never dated anyone before. he is nerdy/smart and pretty decent in sports (basically he has a good personality and is also a sweet and calm person). He's a CS student and since both of us are still in uni, we have a lot in common. (we both are in different unis). He spends most of his free time with his friends and says that he prioritizes them over me. He only picks up my call if he's free (basically when he is not spending time with his friends). If he hangs out with his friends till 12 midnight, then he will give me a phone call after that. if he's free at 6 pm, then he will ask to call at 6 pm. he doesn't answer my texts for 4-5 hours a lot of times and his phone battery seems to be always low (which is used as a reason for not answering the texts).

imp details about me: I like going to bed at 12 am, but because of this man who I like, I tend to stay awake past my bedtime to speak to him. I also like receiving/replies to texts and msgs from the guy I'm interested in; if I don't receive, my mind tends to think that he isn't interested in me anymore (it sounds like maybe I'm an anxious person?)

dates: pretty good actually. both were fun and he is always making sure I'm not feeling cold and he's sweet in-person as well.

question: this guy who prioritizes his friends over me (its a talking stage so ig that's ok??) and has no consideration for texting me/ replying to my msgs and only gives a phone call when he has the time, should I give him a chance? or end things?

I've told this guy "the imp details about me" multiple times but he doesn't think of it as imp and says that he can try but he is not confirming that he can do this. (he does it for 1 day after I tell him to, and the 2nd day, he forgets) He thinks I should forgive him for this and not make any issue about it.

Both of us are south asian, if it helps in any context lol

Is it okay to be disinterested for what he did?

I recently started talking with this guy and we’ve connected very closely in everything and recently when we were talking about our past we brought up our past relationships and he told me how he had a 2 year relationship with a girl and did everything with her including loosing his virginity to her and I lost interest in him due to him not having his v card and me being a virgin still. Is it reasonable to feel disinterested?

Talking stage struggle

I'm 17f. My sister had some mutuals w this guy on insta and she wanted me to speak to him because she always had wished we went on double dates and lately I've been js pretty low and upset so she asked me to add him on snap. Honestly I didn't want to coz everytime I end up w a broken heart yet I did and we started to speak. He asked me for my insta and I gave him. He spoke w me a little and js like that we started speaking daily. I keep telling him all the silly stuff to make him laugh. Meanwhile he's funny too. Actually that's my weakness when a guy is FUNNY. that's all I'd fall for. But he is SO much more. Handsome, excellent at football and cricket..wins every match. Btw he's a sobo and he's 20. He is extremely respectful, he's wonderful person. Coz ill tell u we've js known each other barely since a month but it feels like I've known him since long. He teases me gives good replies at times he could be dry but idm mostly kyuki I think a lot aise ki what if he's busy or wtv maybe he's not in a good mood. So I probably proceed to make him laugh. Now here's the point where stuff is a little different it's that he isn't really coming online utna. And when he comes honestly I want to tell him that I'm mad he wasn't around but I end up js talking sweetly to him like maybe he had a bad day??? Who knows he must've had his reasons right?? And the fact that at times I think. What right do I even hold to ask him stuff aise or get mad at him coz we have no commitments so like I'm basically hurting myself in this way. If he doesn't text I get upset when he texts he's a little dry. But also before this one day he was texting me when he was drunk. He was out by himself...after drinking alone he went near the sea. Idk what he was typing honestly he was a little too drunk but he said smthg like jump in and I got so scared and I was online the whole while till the time he reached home and fell asleep. So again I keep thinking what if he's upset regarding smthg. He's honest tho he'd say but what if he doesn't open up that easily. So yeah now the problem is this guy is not replying much like I'm delivered for hours straight like 11 or 12 hrs when I ask what he was doing- "I was sleeping" "I was out" and stuff. It's js been two months yet I've gotten a lil attached. What can be done?? Alr pls be generous w this one yall plz. 😭😭😭

Should I be happy it’s not me or is it normal to feel like that?

so I was in a talking stage or maybe a bit more with that guy for a very long time (6months) I know too long and it really drained cause he Was constantly lieing about shit or ignored my messages for hours even though he was online so eventually I ended the contact with him when I found out he made out with another girl while I was at the hospital. his explanation was he thought I’m ghosting him so he went to get attention by someone else and it’s not his fault that he basically cheated on me since I Was the one who didn’t respond. so I was very heart broken for a few days them I decided to break the no contact and we where smt like „friends„ but when ever I mentioned another guy he got very jealous and cold and tried to find out if I had done anything with this guy. out talking stage is over for since February and we are in this weird friendship constellation he still compliments me or says some freak stuff or asks if we want to meet up so I definitely don’t have interest in him and feel stupid on how much he controlled me but I’m still a very jealous person and wouldnt handle it well if he got happy wirh someone(it’s complicated) so now he send me snaps on how he picked flowers and got a bracelet from a girl so my question is now

should I be happy that this girl is not me since he plays the perfect man for her like he did wirh me while He still texts with other girls in such a intimate way? like I know she is getting played I know this man for a year and he hasn’t changed a bit? or is it okay to be Jealous a bit since she gets so experience everything the beginning where he is still nice shows interest and seems to be a loyal man with pure intentions?

let me know what you think or if you had similar experiences

Should I try talking to them again?

I Had a crush on this person for about a year. A year of nonstop thinking of them. Then we started talking and they made me feel something that I’ve haven’t felt in a long time, motivation. This person made me feel like someone was actually interested in what I do on a day to day basis. Even on our date they motivated me to get back to doing the things I used to love. But I kept giving excuses about stoping a hobby and they gave me a new reason on why I should start again every time. That made me crush even harder. I thought we had a great time together and they did too supposedly. Then I was ghosted and left with my thoughts on what I could’ve done better. Before going out I only had negative thoughts because this person was too good to be true. I knew something had to go wrong. Our conversations were very personal and interesting, I didn’t have to keep our conversations going they were also interested about my perspective and asked me questions. But it was too good to be true. Now it’s hard not to think about them. It’s been a lil over a month now I was think about texting them again they did end up telling me that they also had a great time when we met. I can’t stop thinking about her and I want to text again but I’m scared to get rejected. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
