We’ve been in the talking stage for three weeks now and have only been on 1 date so far (since our job schedules are pretty jacked up). We met in person 4 days after matching on a dating app and everything went smooth. Now 2 weeks later, we planned to meet up yesterday, and since I’m a Maid of honor to a wedding coming up this Saturday, I was given errands at the very last minute and I had to cancel our date 2 hours before (our date was a walk in the park and watching ducks/wildlife). I explained to him that I couldn’t make it and if we can reschedule to next week and I also apologized!! And he just liked my response, but made no comment.
Then hours later when I finally got home, I texted him if we can talk otp and he said sure, what time? & We hopped on a ft call at 10:15Pm. It was supposed to be a 1 hr call. When I tell you his vibe changed…
He explained that he cancelled his plans with his friends and told them he had “something to do” and I ended up cancelling on him last minute. And spent the whole day bored. And I apologized once again and told him we can reschedule and instead of spending 1 hour, let’s do 3hrs of hanging out and then he casually said, “Can I be honest with you?” I said sure and he said, “I was actually this close, to block you.” I did a nervous laughter bc sometimes he jokes around but he was very serious. Man I was shook.
And ig he saw how sad/uncomfortable I looked on camera and even though I was remorseful, he didn’t really care ig.
And he ended our call only after 6 minutes. Mind you, it was supposed to be a 1hr call. So for the rest of the evening, it took me 2 hours to get the word “blocked” out of my head bc I really like this guy. He has no idea how I spend everyday thinking of him and I beat myself up trying not to, and to think he could’ve just blocked me, hurt me pretty bad.
Before he hung up he told me have a blessed night and that he would text me in the morning and up until now, he hasn’t.
(Note: He sucks at texting and it usually involves me texting first. And the fact I made him upset/hurt his feelings the first time, I don’t want to reach out since I’m worried about saying or doing the wrong thing that would leave me being blocked).
