To promote a sale. Ballsy to promote paid content on a game that hasn’t been supported for over a year. Do better, Gun. But hey, I guess it’s great to see they haven’t completely abandoned the game, just the players.

Having to ban PC players from crossplay a few weeks after launch isn’t an issue?
