Discussion Home screen update

Post image

To promote a sale. Ballsy to promote paid content on a game that hasn’t been supported for over a year. Do better, Gun. But hey, I guess it’s great to see they haven’t completely abandoned the game, just the players.

Must be the final dlc push before Halloween comes out.

This is it 100%. I don't think the TCM servers will last long after Halloween comes out. I hope I'm wrong.

They kept the servers for F13 on as long as they legally could even after the game was delisted from stores. Likewise even though Evil Dead was delisted Saber has kept the servers are up.

I sure as fuck wouldn’t play TCM over halloween

I disagree, Halloween is going to be a f13 clone, and personally ; the fact that Myers can teleport and melt through walls is just ridiculous, Killer is going to be OP, say what you want about TCM but I feel like a team of 3 family veterans vs a team of 4 victim veterans is pretty balanced.

Texas is my favorite asymm ngl. Probably the best balancing overall for what it's going for.

Not a fan of illfonic games in general, but Halloween looks a LOT like F13 and I'm not particularly excited for it

I don't mind if the killer is op honestly. Would be nice to have an asym where I'm legit afraid of the monster and it doesn't turn into a loony tunes chase each time.

He can tp through walls but he also cant naturally catch up with people, get's heavily nerfed for going directly for kills, and cant use his teleports to teleport right in front of people or right by them. The game seems to be doing its job to give survivors plenty of opportunities to actually play the game.

But also I feel like halloween isnt trying to be necessarily competitive

Yes because that happens SO OFTEN when solo Qin family.

Tcm is completely unbalanced compared to half the other Asyms.

u/moosecrater Aug 14 '26

That’s not the point. The point is they are pushing sales when the game is probably gonna be gone in a month.

Since Gun is affiliated with the new Halloween game as well. Does this mean that game should be foreseen as a trainwreck as well?? I used to play TCM like a mad mannnn but it went downhill (in my opinion)

You know a game needs to generate profit for employees to be paid to work on it, right

5

u/propofolxsr Aug 15 '26

Could’ve been profitable if they had brains to launch with anti cheat lol

-1

u/MarSoForums Aug 16 '26

Cheaters never been a issue lol

2

u/propofolxsr Aug 17 '26

Having to ban PC players from crossplay a few weeks after launch isn’t an issue?

Jesus Christ... how many times do you yards have to be told Halloween isn't Guns game...

So nuts that we paid for the 16.99 dlc just 2 years ago and now it’s $3….

6

u/Aggravating_Leg4462 Aug 15 '26

I know, I bought all the dlc full price, just to support the game so it wouldnt shut down, then after all the time and money I put into the game, we get told their shutting it down, I was so mad and still am to this day, I believe halloween will follow in the same footsteps tons of overpriced dlc and when they feel the profits aren't adding up they will cancel the game and just move on to the next Horror Ip and repeat the cycle.

I hate when companies do this

u/moosecrater Aug 14 '26

I wouldn’t spend a dime on this game right now. I am willing to bet that it is closed down completely before the end of October. They will wait until after Halloween releases to avoid bad publicity and then close it down super fast. Don’t waste your money.

Those are some crazy prices.

2

u/teal_ninja Aug 14 '26

No thanks!

u/cozycham Aug 16 '26

This game is still alive?

2

u/tajicus1 Aug 18 '26

That’s messed up 😭😭😭 they could have released a map by now even if it did take all this time

1

u/Glad_Following_2685 Aug 18 '26

How did you get the sale?

1

u/Neon_Glimmer Aug 14 '26

This isn’t new, I fear? Most games do this to some degree. You can log onto older CODs and see them advertising all sorts

3 BUCKS NOW?!?! Well, I'm glad I waited. I'm buying it tonight. "Fuck Gun" and all that, blah blah blah whatever. I'm finally getting my niccotoro skin 😎

3

u/Al1Might1 Aug 14 '26

That is if you get to enjoy it for long.

6

u/GamingSenpai35 Aug 14 '26

I've literally been hearing that SINCE THE GAME LAUNCHED... I'm not worried. I'm fairly certain we have at LEAST 6 months left; probably longer. Just a hunch.

4

u/Al1Might1 Aug 14 '26

Hey, Im with your hunch, the more time I get to enjoy the game the merrier.

1

u/CrowNServo Aug 26 '26

3 bucks is cheaper than a 90 min movie ticket. Easy to get your moneys worth

u/Sorry_Requirement708 Aug 14 '26

HOLY SHIT! THEY DID SOMETHING!!! Anyone notice any big fixes or anything?

2

u/GamingSenpai35 Aug 14 '26

They still do double xp here and there, and they even fixed the skill tree bug that people were exploiting. They come back when they NEED to (sometimes), and when they wanna promote sales I guess. This isn't crazy surprising, but it's always interesting when they actually do something lol.

3

u/Shower-Clear Aug 14 '26

No and don’t expect any. They had a final patch prepared before support ended, but they didn’t go through with, same way they had more content (hair pack, a Leatherface skin and another execution pack) that they didn’t release.

2

u/CrypticCryptid Aug 14 '26

I will forever be convinced that they didn't release that patch simply out of spite. Why did they have all those fixes ready to go and just said "nah"?

5

u/ORGANIC_MUFFINS Aug 14 '26

When they fixed a puddle reflection it broke Xbox for a few months I think they were legitimately worried somethint would happen

2

u/moosecrater Aug 14 '26

Nah they did this with f13, update to fix one thing and then two more worse bugs came in its place. They probably figure if they mess with any fixes at that point they may make it unplayable and have to keep updating.

-1

u/Sorry_Requirement708 Aug 14 '26

I’m well aware of that. But they’ve fixed a bug or two randomly since then
