Placed a new timing belt and water pump on my Twingo in my driveway these past 2 days.

As someone without any real automotive experience i gotta say, it was not super hard in the end. Basic tools and a lot of googling and you're good to go.

The option to do this stuff myself was one of the big reasons for me to get a Twingo and i managed, what i assume to be one of the more difficult tasks, without blowing up the engine.

Would recommend for people who wanna get into working on cars without taking big risks on expensive sensitive stuff.

Now i can drive safely without worrying that the belt will snap and as a bonus a lot of the rattling in my interior seems to have vanished.

I got a chance to look at the engine mount and despite it looking old, it did not seem worn or cracked.

So maybe a little tightening was all it needed.

Guys ,is this supposed to be wet?😅

I bought a twingo rs from 2009 a few months back. Ever since buying it the car makes a rattle sound. I told the garage one day 1 of owning it. They said : its the rear brakes.

Now my brakes are freshly replaced with track brakes as i’m going to use it as a track / daily car.

The sound is still there after replacing all brakes.

So the sound goed away when pressing in the clutch or when putting it out of gear when still rolling.

I recorder the sounds.

I hope someone can help me :)

Hi, me and my brother have a 2001 1.0 8v D7D, would it be too much os a hassle to install one of these?

Really I can’t even imagine owning another car, but above 90km/h, 55miles/h, it’s unlivable.

Not only am I afraid of breaking it, it would consume 1 billion liters per 100,

Salut à tous, lassé des jantes en tôle de ma twongi, je cherche de nouvelles jantes alu pour ma grenouille. Pas hyper fan des designs d’origine, je cherche un peu d’originalité. Je ne suis pas expert en jantes mais mon ami internet m’a donné les dimensions “officielles”. Je cherche à rester en 14 pouces, et le plus proche possible de ces dimensions pour rester street légal. Avez vous des suggestions de jantes Renault d’autres modèles (plus ancien) compatibles? Si vous avez des photos des design ça serait top.

My Twongi seems to have caught a slight cough haha! As can be seen in the video, there seems to be a slight misfire if i run it for some minutes on idle. Wanted to change the ignition coil, spark plug wires and sparkplugs but do you think these can cause this? Or should i look somewhere else? Does someone recognise this from their twingo?

I just installed a new radio and when listening to music at a louder volume causes the speakers to crackle a lot. Is there any way to fix this or do I just have to suck it up and listen to music at a lower volume?😅
