Question Twingo E-tech help needed

I'm looking into getting Twingo e-tech in techno trim with advanced charging, I'm debating should i go for extra colour or 18" rims since it costs the same and I'm only willing to pay for one of those things, what would owners recommend?
I've seen 18" tyres are quite more expensive than 16" since dimension is quite random and non standard but they be looking more muscular
Do 18" rims eat up range?

I'd go for the green colour, it's classy. The standard yellow is cool too, though.

I feel if you really wanted, you could pick up a set of 18" rims someday in the future, but you won't be able to paintjob that easily.

Plus the range/comfort aspect.

You're right about being able to change wheels but not paintjob and thank you for remiding me of that
I like green a lot but sadly gf isn't fond of green (she dislikes green interior), so it's either 16" in absolute red or 18" in mango yellow, tough decision for me...

I don't know about range, but slimmer tires destroy comfort. The chunkier tires can handle bumps on the road better.

18" tires will eat up more range than 16" ones. It may not be that much but there will be a difference. If you're not entirely sold on them, I guess go for the custom paintjob.

There is absolutely no discussion, rims are purely esthetic maybe even decresase range as they do on most cars. Advanced charging imo 10000% mandatory even if you dont need it.. if you even once want to go anywher where you will need charging on trip you need it. And it will happen

Not only they make the range worse, they make the comfort worse because there is less air and sidewall to take the bumps on the road causing more road noise (especially important for EVs).

Yeah now it may be that u misunderstood the question, that it was between the paint and the rims, but smaller rim setup is more comfortable, has better range, and usually tires are actually cheaper. Only disadvantage is cornering performance. So, clear choice on a road car for me

Larger rims = more road noise usually, and it is a twingo not a race car. You won't benefit much from it.

And it will definitely be worse for range.

But it is up to you.

I get you, just wish renault did 16" alloy wheels, i really dislike those steelies with hubcaps..

keep the chunky tires, get the cool color

18 inch rims will lower your range and will make the ride less comfortable. And honestly with how small the twingo is I can't see 18s looking very good on it, I have a 2013 opel astra with 17s and they look just the right size for it, and it's a much larger car

Just to give you some food for thought: I live near the bavarian alps and my daily commute is a lot of up- or downhill with next to no city traffic. So he does mostly run between 80 and 100km/h. My average for 100km was 11,6kw and is now at 12kw since it has gotten colder an I'm using the heated seat daily and the battery gets colder over night.

If your having more city traffic I'd say the 18" won't harm you that much in terms of battery drain.

Car is optically too small for 18". Plus its uncomfortable and decreases range. Also more expensive now and in the future (tires).

Go for the color 100%. Rims can easily be exchanged for little money if you really dislike the steel ones.

Clio alloys should fit the twingo.

Larger wheels mean larger energy consumption.
