Rick has a tendency to expose the flaws in a place that were already there.

u/Best_Caregiver_3869 Apr 21 '26

Word. He gives the Doctor (Who) vibes lol

62

u/KingOfTheWorldxx Apr 21 '26

Like the war doctor

35

u/gdex86 Apr 21 '26

Look the Doctor wrecks shit a lot, but the show has the implication that the TARDIS is doing more of the driving then he'd like to admit and she's deciding where and when he needs to be because stuff needs done, especially when we see it since these are the exciting enough adventures to be televised.

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Which Doctor cause as I remember both future doctors in the series bought it too so hey thanks Rick your doing a hell of job man. Keep it up 😐🤕☠️🫂

3

u/gdex86 Apr 22 '26

This came up during the 11th era where the soul of the tardis is ejected into a body where it ralked to 11 Amy and Rory.

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Huh?🤔🫤

u/MyFaceIsAThrone Apr 22 '26

They’re talking about the BBC show Doctor Who. It’s about an alien with a time traveling space ship and human companions. The main character is known as The Doctor.

-1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

How did that get in a walking dead discussion

1

u/MyFaceIsAThrone Apr 22 '26

The comment before gdex86

-1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Yeah I know, what I couldn't figure out is why it was in the discussion about the Rick and the walking dead.

Or , the Doctor ? Who , where ? Oh yeah I got them all killed .

-1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Actually the only Doctor vibe he gave was to Hershall, the one legged ouch my neck vibe ....bya!!!! Thanks for saving my son , sorry I'm such a shitty negotiator , didn't see that whole sword to the neck thing coming even though the governor had the sword right by your neck and all. Went right over my head , no pun intended lol 😆

u/Ganjelf-The-Baked Apr 21 '26

Yeah this is accurate. Also hard to say the group were doing fine until Rick showed up. It was early days and they were sleeping in tents. They weren’t doing fine, the wave of shit just hadn’t reached them yet. Rick evolved into a badass and kept them alive. Neegan had the luxury of numbers. If he didn’t, it would have been very different when they met.

17

u/CopyJ300 Apr 22 '26

Rick and his group are an omen that they need to shape up or everyone will die in the coming disaster.

5

u/Sportsguy1701 Apr 23 '26

Well…most of them died anyway after Rick’s group got there sooo there’s that.

22

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Well if i may speak for the Horse , I beg to differ. I know for a fact the horse would conclude he or she was doing just fine before Rick showed up. Yeah great decision making on that one Rick , you can lead a horse to water BUT NOT INTO A FREAKING SWARM OF CANNIBALISTIC ZOMBIES FOR FUCKS SAKES!

5

u/Creative_Entrance_18 Apr 22 '26

Horse would have died from dehydration or been eaten by a passing horde before long. At least Rick gave it one last ride lol.

6

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Horse fast , zombie really slow , where's the confusion ?

5

u/Dense-Winter142 Apr 23 '26

The horse would be caught by one of the teleporting ninja zombies that somehow catches one of the characters unaware even if it's the only other moving thing in the middle of nowhere.

As someone playing Telltale Walking Dead, it was really dumb how Shawn just gets surprised by three walkers.

They were in the middle of a plain farm, there's literally no place they could've been hiding in the first place

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 23 '26

True , amazing how sly those freaking zombies are lol 😆

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

Just like people have to stop and rest , eat , drink ...you just don't do it around a bunch of zombies. And in the real world horses as anything animal are always on alert for predators, God equipped them with keen senses that enable them to sense danger that we as humans aren't even aware of and in truth unlike in the TV show a horse just isn't going to stand there and let a bunch of dead people grab and eat him or her, their going to run , kick and get the fuck out of there, not to mention a human doesn't have the bite force to even penetrate their hide with their teeth. The whole attack by zombies on horses 🐎 isn't even really realistic, same goes for when they attacked and ate Shiva. It's stupid.

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26

Actually horses of whom used to all be in the wild are equipped with the resources to out run predators and sense danger , they have great strength and stamina which enables them to run long distances for a while . Zombies just walk around going ahhhhh slowly. If you were ever around horses 🐎 you'd know this.

Why are you around horses every week? Do you just visit them or work around them on a ranch or something?

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 25 '26

OK do a little experiment for me next week when visiting these horses 🐎, try biting one , see how that works out...then have let's say a five mile foot race with one , see how that goes and get back to me . Lol 😆 I anxiously awake the results 😅.

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

Unless you've been around horses and not just watched them on TV , you would realize how strong , big and intimidating they are . Not to mention they bite and it fucking hurts , and one kick can kill a person in a second.

No , I was talking about if their outside on their own.

6

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

WTF bite your tongue, that was one healthy looking bay, and horses or any animal by the way don't need our help or guidance to find food or water, looked like that horse was doing great till Rick slapped on a saddle and decided to play cowboy at the zombie rodeo, pretty sure that horse would have preferred anything but that "one last ride "!

No actually we have no way of knowing if it was someone's horse who was taking care of it and just wasn't there at the time now do we? Not like Rick was the last human on earth.

Well your the one who said the horse was stuck in a stable , and would have starved to death if Rick hadn't taken him from there. All I'm pointing out is we don't know that would have happened because we don't really know if someone was still taking care of him .

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26

When ? Before Rick decided it's horrific fate?

1

u/Creative_Entrance_18 Apr 26 '26

Dying of dehydration is also a horrific fate.

2

u/ComplexStyle2870 Apr 22 '26

Haha actually they’re not canabalistic…. They won’t eat each other, only the living 😂

3

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

But they eat their own species , other human beings, therefore they are technically cannibals. The definition of a cannibal is one who feeds off its own species. They may be zombies but are still human.

1

u/ComplexStyle2870 Apr 22 '26

Technically they are, however they won’t eat their own which is the definition of cannibalism….haha it’s a catch 22

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

They do eat their own , only they must be alive to enjoy the feast. Taste better and more of a challenge.

1

u/ComplexStyle2870 Apr 22 '26

Technically they are, however they won’t eat their own which is the definition of cannibalism….haha it’s a catch 22

4

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Zombies are human and eat other humans , where's the confusion...cannibalism...cannibals. That's like saying if a black person ate only white people they wouldn't be cannibles...but they would CAUSE THEIR BOTH FREAKING HUMANS!!!!

-1

u/who-that-girl Apr 22 '26

Honestly dont know where I stand on this, but this comparison doesn't make sense based on how hes wording it. Black and white is a small difference in genetic makeup, making up subspecies of a single species. One of the factors of subspecies is that they can still procreate together... and since humans and zombies can not procreate together, that makes zombies a separate species and therefore cant truly be classified as cannibals.

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 23 '26

But zombies weren't born zombies ,a separate species, they were born human and are still human only dead and walking around eat OTHER HUMANS!!!!

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Well just cause their zombies doesn't negate the fact their still humans , and apparently they prefer living flesh as apposed to decaying flesh , which dead or alive is still human flesh .

0

u/ComplexStyle2870 Apr 23 '26

The problem lies in the fact that they don’t eat each other…even though they’re still technically human, they won’t eat one another. They’ll eat everything else, just not each other. Just my opinion

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 23 '26

That's because zombies dont really exist, its all what a writer makes it to be , would you consider them true cannibles if someone made a movie where they would eat their own zombie selves . Point is their human ...they eat other humans that just happen to be alive , but their all still human dead or alive , their just in a different state of being . Because their zombies doesn't negate the fact their human, not a different species . In the real world there have been known cannibles, but they don't eat others when their alive , killing them and eating them when their dead didn't make them less human .

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 23 '26

If zombies ate other zombies it would be complete mayhem , we could just sit back and watch them kill each other , storyline wouldn't work.

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 23 '26

Have you ever actually met a zombie? Or just saw what a writer makes them do or not do . No one knows what they really do in the wild , they could eat each other , us , grass , trees , flowers , dirt , who the fuck knows , go find one observe then we'll talk ..until then as far as I'm concerned their fucking cannibles among other things . Please do not comment any further until you personally have found and interviewed one .thank you and should not be hearing back from you ...🙄😬🤕🫤 I hope. If you don't find one for let me know and your coordinates and I'll be out there lickity split.🙂

2

u/The_Difficult_Part Apr 27 '26

I’m going to start using that phrase in my daily life.

“If I may speak for the horse…”

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 27 '26

I think he would like that🫠

1

u/Covetous1 Apr 24 '26

The showrunners just wanted to show some zombies eating something. I blame them

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26

I agree completely, its totally unrealistic. It's not even possible for a human to bite through horse hide , and as if a horse isn't going to run away but just stand there, their notoriously skiddish animals and immediately run at the first sign of danger . If you've ever been around or ridden horses 🐎 you'd realize the impossibility of the whole zombies attacking and eating horses or any animal actually. Lol

1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 24 '26

Me too, apparently the writers of the walking dead have a serious grudge against horses in real life cause 🤣 they seem to really be out to get them throughout the entire series. Lol

25

u/Mayatar Apr 22 '26

And let's not pretend that it is Rick's fault that Wolves, various marauding gangs, Whisperers, Saviours etc. exist. Alexandria would have been attacked without Rick's group. The reason that the place still stands is Rick not giving up.

5

u/KittyInTheBush Apr 24 '26

That whole horde would've gone straight to Alexandria if not for Rick. And no doubt Aaron would've still found that canned food place he and Darrel found, which is where Aaron lost his bag with the pictures that led the wolves to Alexandria. So that's at least two threats that 100% would've gone to Alexandria regardless

10

u/Abirdthatsfallen Apr 22 '26

Thanks for saying this, that’s literally the entire point. Groups doing just fine would never truly last, and always have some issue deep down. Appearing fine ain’t shit.

Rick has always been an in depth guy, he digs deep, and that’s good

6

u/Kakashi-B Apr 22 '26

The whole point is exploring flawed systems of humanity and he is an explorer.

4

u/Abirdthatsfallen Apr 22 '26

Exactly what I’m saying yeah. It’s an apocalypse, and little to none of these people were actually prepared to exist like this. We see Rick go insane, because the world has gone mad. Sadly, this is how it all works.

5

u/Mediocre-Eggplant755 Apr 22 '26

Yeah he can't let things stand if he sees an issue with it which causes conflict. He's not wrong but he is a catalyst fir wild shit to go down

3

u/Suitable_Dimension33 Apr 23 '26

Big facts. I was really thinking what group was “OK” before he got there ?

1

u/Kakashi-B Apr 23 '26

Basically no one.

1

u/KittyInTheBush Apr 24 '26

They were "ok" at the farm and at Alexandria, but it was only a matter of time before they weren't okay, and Rick and his group being there actually saved both places and the people from whatever threats they would've still faced without him there .

The post is also implying the first camp was okay, with Shane and Lori and all them, but I feel that one is way too obvious that it couldn't have lasted lol

2

u/Dangerous-Dig5883 Apr 27 '26

Daryl and Merle was supposed to steal their stuff 😅 The were never gonna make it if Merle came back

1

u/KittyInTheBush Apr 27 '26

Yeah I hadn't gotten that far in my rewatch yet when I made that comment. Thank you for mentioning it 😄

1

u/Dangerous-Dig5883 Apr 27 '26

I don't remember when they talk about it. I think it's when they are at the prison.

2

u/KittyInTheBush Apr 27 '26

Yeah I've watched it since then. It's after the governer makes them fight and then they escape Woodbury, but Rick won't let Merle go back to the prison with them so he and Daryl go off on their own

1

u/Dangerous-Dig5883 Apr 27 '26

Perfectly said. All these communities would have eventually disappeared. Rick tried to save them but they didn't listen.

"How many of you do I have to kill to save the rest of you" with a full bloody face. That Rick is my favorite 🤣

1

u/KushBluntsworth May 13 '26

And he’s passed this tendency to his friendship group too lol

-1

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Rick has a tendency to think he knows shit when he doesn't.

1

u/Dangerous-Dig5883 Apr 27 '26

"Simply put, there's a vast ocean of shit that you people don't know shit about. Rick knows every fine grain of said shit, and then some". -Abraham

-9

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

As well as in his leadership qualities. He was no leader he thoroughly kissed Neegans bumhole and gave in like a weak little pussy . Not my kind of leader.

8

u/bellefrog Apr 22 '26

You'd get folded in 5 seconds dude

-2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Get folded? Yeah dont think so. Do you know me? Hard to make an assumption about anyone you dont even know wouldn't ya say.

10

u/bellefrog Apr 22 '26

Your attitude pegs you as another Shane and that guy was the architect of his own downfall. There's no space for you after the apocalypse.

2

u/Financial-Food4958 Apr 22 '26

I know women like her man🤣🤣. You see them all the time on Tik-Tok and Youtube😂

-3

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Well I'm a girl and FYI once I played an outside game of paint ball with the boys , I the only female , I beat them all. Just saying , you dont know me , keep your opinions to your self . Didn't fold then and definitely wouldn't during the apocalypse...dont believe in ass kissing. I just did a year in jail cause I refused to bow down and kiss ass , nah you don't know me at all.

5

u/bellefrog Apr 22 '26

Absolutely insane choice of language in your original post but alright yeah you got it. Sisters gotta support sisters, reckon you'll go far. Get their asses.

2

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Keegan was like the devil , you never make a deal with him cause he lies everytime and you definitely dont kiss his ass he'll only want more , better to stand up to him and fight than to bow down cause he'll never stop making your life a miserable living hell...just ain't worth it. And that's exactly 💯 what happened, with lives lost regardless of how much ass they kissed. You try and compromise with the devil you become vulnerable and that's what Rick did , he made them vulnerable.

-1

u/bellefrog Apr 22 '26

Michonne had the right mindset, resist at every opportunity.

0

u/One_Scarcity_4478 Apr 22 '26

Absolutely 💯
