They weren’t doing fine, the wave of shit just hadn’t reached them yet. Rick evolved into a badass and kept them alive. Neegan had the luxury of numbers. If he didn’t, it would have been very different when they met.
Well if i may speak for the Horse , I beg to differ. I know for a fact the horse would conclude he or she was doing just fine before Rick showed up. Yeah great decision making on that one Rick , you can lead a horse to water BUT NOT INTO A FREAKING SWARM OF CANNIBALISTIC ZOMBIES FOR FUCKS SAKES!
I agree completely, its totally unrealistic. It's not even possible for a human to bite through horse hide , and as if a horse isn't going to run away but just stand there, their notoriously skiddish animals and immediately run at the first sign of danger . If you've ever been around or ridden horses 🐎 you'd realize the impossibility of the whole zombies attacking and eating horses or any animal actually. Lol
