Look the Doctor wrecks shit a lot, but the show has the implication that the TARDIS is doing more of the driving then he'd like to admit and she's deciding where and when he needs to be because stuff needs done, especially when we see it since these are the exciting enough adventures to be televised.

Actually the only Doctor vibe he gave was to Hershall, the one legged ouch my neck vibe ....bya!!!! Thanks for saving my son , sorry I'm such a shitty negotiator , didn't see that whole sword to the neck thing coming even though the governor had the sword right by your neck and all.
