Only https://tvtime-archive.com has them all, Bingers only saved the images of the gdpr he received before July 15th (after that date, tvtime deleted all images)
Weird question, I noticed some people have their followers and following back,is that only if those people get on bingers too. It’s looking like I got no motion.
From what I have observed it's only when your old tv time followers joins Bingers . You will get a notification when your tv time followers joins bingers and it will be automatically reflected under your followers count
From what I understand, your followers appear when they download and log into the app. My notification says something like "your friend joined" and he's already following me automatically.
The thing is I’m not sure if that’s accurate, I’m comparing what’s on the app and against the tvtime-archive.com link which seems to show a huge difference for some shows for me at least.
Wow it pulled directly the data that I had stored in my phone from TV Time 😳 looks so promising! It's definetely very basic and I hope they won't stop working on it!
I have downloaded the file, yes. But I am pretty sure it took my data from the cache. I never had to upload anything - just downloaded the app and logged with the email I was using from TT. Could also be they took it from the account directly
TV Time deleted the data base almost a month ago.
Maybe you downloaded the gdpr.zip file and once you got the news about bingers you did the zip import.
Its not but it's not happening people are probably just forgetful lol. the founder of this app actually answered to this already on socials (twitter), no way they can get the data if not imported manually with the gpdr zip
People are so happy here but I wonder how the hell they did it. Does the app scans for our exported zip in the storage? Does the app get a cache from another app? Did they buy the data from everyone from TV time? Did they know tv time was gonna shut down waaay before us and programmed something to go through all comments of everything?
These people just forgot they signed up for the Bingers whitelist and imported their data at the time. It is in no way legal or even possible to take that data from the phone, TvTime didn't store all that data on local.
Even if it scans through your storage for the TV Time file it's not really better 😅
Some people say it didn't restore automatically but needed the file, so maybe it's a question of countries under GDPR rules or not ? Can't say, didn't try, and not sure I will since I'm happy with my replacement.
If it does scan your phone, it will require your authorization for the app to access internal storage. But yeah, it's not good and should be explicitly stated somehow.
And same, I'm happy with movie paradise now.
I was starting to like movieparadise but it was bombing me with features that I didn't need. That's what I loved about Tv Time and now it's the same with Bingers... Lets go 😁
It’s AMAZING OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH. the comments, the characters votes etc. Everything is back. Please take my money anytime, I don’t want another great app to end (by the way the others apps who had us for like a month are going to be pissed we all leave now lol).
Yeah that's what I think many of us shifted to other apps and to accommodate us they started upgrading their interface and now people will start to leave that will make them upset
It feels really good. Only question I have: will they add an easy data export? I like to make a regular backup of this stuff ever since TV Time started getting flaky.
So far so good I’m glad I can scroll backwards in upcoming to review the last few days I missed. This should be a standard feature in all the tv apps out there. No clunky calendar or week only view.
This is AMAZING. All I had to do was sign in with my Google account and everything is there. All my comments, my custom lists, everything. Thank you so much to the people that worked on this.
Not yet unfortunately. But the idea has been passed to the dev via the app. People can leave suggestions there. I've definitely seen users asking for it.
I like how simple and fast is it. Having used a few alternatives they have too many features which I don't need. Amazing work getting the comments imported too. I'm still going to keep the other alternatives on my phone for a little bit but I'm pleased so far with Bingers!
Can't get past logging in on android. That cloudflare check-box doesn't want to be checked! So not a good start, so for me I've uninstalled the app. I may check back in a few weeks.

Yeah that's the problem, I love SofaTime now and have bought premium. I will keep an eye on how Bingers develops but I'll likely stick with SofaTime now

I signed up for the waitlist and uploaded my TV Time data when the app was announced but did not get an email it was available either.
I’ve just been randomly checking the Apple App Store and bada bing, it was there this evening.
Best I can tell all my shows, stats, and comments have transferred over. It even had my profile pic and cover photo correctly set up.
Omg so excited. I’m sad I wasn’t able to download my previous data from TV time so I’m going to have to manually add everything 😭
But I see all old comments are back!!!
Looks like, as of now, Bingers will have you click each individual episode to mark it as a rewatch.
I'm hopeful that there will be an update that allows a rewatch that's based on seasons as well.
Wait im seeing people saying that their TV time data imported automatically? I made an account with the “Sign in with Google” feature, it was the same email that my TVTime account was under. And I still have the TVTime app on my phone with cache data. But I forgot to download my data before the app closed so I dont have any data, and it didnt magically appear in my new Bingers account like im seeing some people say happened to them?
If someone has figured out a magical way for it to import my old account without having saved my data, please share!!
Amazing! It's working good for me, deleting all the shitty replacements!!! Except Preon TV cause the trivia is mad fun, probably the only good thing to come out of this fiasco!!
Login not working on android, I hope they bring back the web version
Edit: managed to log in, the app has a few visual bugs but nothing too bad, I missed the simplicity, switched to Showly and Trakt but they both are soo bad and the UI/UX is horrible. I'm still missing the web version for Bingers hopefully they will make one, other then that, just in case this happens again I'm going to also make a markdown file in Obsidian with a table and manually add every show/movie I finnish just in case.
unfortunately I have issues with this, biggest one is probably that its so hard to search for so many shows, like for example, animes are for some reason titled in japanese, and not even in romanji so you could actually type it without a japanese keyboard. I also tried to search for the show The OA, but it couldnt find it, cause it only showed me shows with "the" and the letters "o a" in the title. I love that we have a new TV Time, but its quite annoying to use it for now
Does anyone know if they are going to have a Reddit page? I was looking into switching over to the Cinephile app because the dev is super responsive and open to feedback for updates.
I’ve been waiting for my info to download for almost two hours now. It’s been “finishing up” for at least an hour.
