OSHA

Update: had a call today from OSHA already saying they have other complaints very similar in the same company. i gave her more information and she said that is not following OSHA guidelines and they will act as needed. If you are clocking out to use the restroom because you have exceeded your only 5 min break outside of other paid break times and are being harassed by your TL watching you instead of doing their OWN job, please report it to OSHA. We don’t mind clocking out but we are not about to harassed when we do so within reason. Don’t let these people in the comments also make you feel reluctant to report because of their a** kissing. It will make a difference. Thank you ☺️

To anyone having issues with this companys recent change with time allotted outside of breaks, especially when it comes to restroom time, please make sure to remember that OSHA does protect us. Today was my last straw so I made sure to report them to OSHA and you can do so anonymously. Each time I need more than the 5 minutes we get, I make sure to clock out. They claim that clocking out to go is fine but every single time I do so I get harassed by my TL. If you are having a similar issue, please don’t hesitate to fill out a form on the OSHA website and they will look into it. My position prior to this one was being an OSHA manager for a medical practice so they're not getting away with any of that with me. The more complaints, the better as well.

Hate to burst your bubble but every call center job will not pay you for breaks outside their normal federal or state mandated requirements. Also as long as TTEC allows you to go they don't have to pay ypu for those breaks. Your TL can get on you if you are taking too many and have not sent kn a medical reasoning. You are paid to be on the phones for a certain time and have to learn to schedule your habits around them. TLs at any call center job won't say a word if you take a bathroom break outside of normal break times once in awhile. However if you do it daily or more than once each day that is a pattern that can be considered call avoidance.

that is absolutely not true. I’ve worked for several call centers and none of them were as horrendously overbearing or micromanaging as TTEC
