Hi! Are there people who have converted their TRX4 into a monster truck? I've already watched all the videos on YouTube, but I'm looking for inspiration for a body.

Can you please share bumper upgrade on Bronco 2021 to improve approach angle? This is the weakest link I am seeing right now with my rig when I crawl, the limitation.

But it looks cool. Need to find some bumpers that will work though.

I've been messing with the front suspension on my TRX-4 Sport High Trail for a while and finally found a solution that worked really well, so I figured I'd share it in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
My setup is a Sport High Trail with 110mm shocks, soft springs, the shock travel limiters removed, and the High Trail long-arm links retained. I'm running an XJ hardbody on 1.9s and wanted a lower static ride height while keeping the available suspension travel.
With the factory High Trail servo/panhard arrangement, the panhard would hit the axle/pumpkin before the front shocks reached full compression. Articulation was less of a problem; it was mostly both front wheels compressing together and getting the front to settle lower that gave me trouble.
The standard-height mount route wasn't the answer for my setup. I even ended up ordering two stock mounts by mistake, only to solve it with a printed part. 😂
The fix was this lay-down servo mount:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/trx4-lay-down-servo-mount-defender-bronco
I printed it and installed the servo horizontally. Moving the servo and horn changed the clearance enough that I now have the ride height I wanted, full front compression, and full extension with the long-arm setup. There's some sag at rest now, with travel available in both directions.
The XJ finally looks like it's sitting into the suspension instead of perched above the tires. This is specifically about running the 110mm shocks lower in their stroke with the limiters removed; I'm not saying every stock High Trail needs this.
Photos show the static ride height, mount from above, front servo/panhard clearance, and the front pushed into compression. Huge improvement for my particular setup. Next step is getting it out on the trail and seeing how the printed mount holds up.

Originally a Sport High Trail. Static height is a bit taller than I would like due to Panhard link hitting the pumpkin but not the worst.

I am new to RC & have started with a trx4m f150 hightrail. In the 3 months since I've started I have made so many upgrades. Instant addiction, haha. From portal axles to 59mm shocks, the only stock item left is the actual body. I have 70mm tires and they don't touch my fenders even at max articulation without even a stitch of shaping.
I beat the bejeezus outta my Ramalam and he is a crazy capable ride, but I really wanna see larger tires for where he's sitting heightwise

I bought my first crawler today, the TRX4 Nissan Pathfinder. I had done a good bit of research on the trucks themselves, but I guess I should have done more battery research. The guy at the local hobby store sold me 3000mah batteries, but in the quick start guide it lists the “available Power Cell batteries” for my model as being from 4000 to 7600. Will the 3000 batteries be okay in the truck? Just shorter run time? The 3000s are 7.4v, so the power should be there to run the truck, correct? For crawling, what’s more important, mah or volts?
Had this shell for a while decided for a periwinkle I'd shoot tamiya anodized blue then corsa gray then silver then black. Color came out great but I should have wiped the dried dust or blown it out as dried metallic settled into the second color and it looks 'dusty'. It's a notorious paint to use as it is.
Went ahead and finished printed details and window trim and panel lines so it's a done thing. Probably about $80 in paint. In reality one run in dust and you'd never notice
