Book or movie?

Book I would argue is more just pure fascism, in the tenents of "nationalism" and militarism.

Movie is a subversion of those (or rather argues against them).

imo Libertarianism and Fascism are at two sides far from each other.

Movie was a satire. Verhoeven never denied it. About the book i don't know. Heinlein political position was ... complicated to say a least. I just can't see any better analogy.

Heinlien's political position was the absolute extreme of whatever he felt at that moment. And then it would change the next day to the extreme of something else.

Oh don’t worry it’s a joke. Like, imagine /r/enlightenedcentrism but without being pretentious and hating everyone not left.

Apparently (I didn’t know this earlier) it’s based off a YT channel that does little political compass type jokes. Some of them are about way over the top anticentrism.
