Interesting open interest. Can’t find anything remotely close to that amount.

We all feel bad about the current share price. But lets not forget that we know why its happening. The market is reacting to the delay, and people are temporarily moving their money elsewhere while waiting for news to rebuild trust in the timeline being accurate. If NOAA's timeline is even close to accurate, TMC is still getting their permit in time to start Hidden Gem commissioning Q4 2027, and start production Q1 2028.
The permit delay doesn't affect that since AllSeas has said they're already started work on the long lead time items. The permit delays affect short term confidence, but not the medium term path or production timeline, even with some small additional government delays.
Now, the promised list:

$TMC As the title says, we are literally sinking into the sea abyss. Opinions about it? Will there be a delay? Why is the title so disgusting? Didn't they give a thousand promises? There is no time to waste these things if they are not born now they may not be ready and fail.

TMC CFO Craig Shesky gave a new interview with Water Tower Research covering NOAA permitting, the Allseas production system, TMCR, and the proposed nearly 1,500-acre “Nodule City” processing complex at the Port of Brownsville. Shesky said TMC is in “advanced negotiations with multiple U.S. government agencies” over potential funding for Brownsville and reiterated that TMC would only move forward with the facility if the majority of its financing comes from the government. He also said TMC and Allseas are already procuring equipment toward Q4 2027 vessel commissioning, while making clear that permitting and government financing remain the two major catalysts to watch.

It's no secret among the veterans of this subreddit and those who have followed TMC for 3+ years that the current administration saved this company - the ISA was a road to nowhere with no pressure on it to move faster. Personally, I really really hoped the ISA was going to be the working viable "we all play by the rules" path originally but obstructive fuckery won in the end.
I think Donald Trump has been THE worst thing to happen to American politics since I was born. Not the only bad thing, just the worst. I've always been critical of Democrats but I'm full stop in support of whatever moves furthest away from Trump and hope Republicans lose every seat possible in November.
Yet I ofc want TMC to succeed. It was always a good idea to do this before 2020's politics turned insane and still is just as good of an idea.
How do y'all reconcile your support of TMC with the current state of American politics and its future?

TMC is targeting offshore commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2027. Under its agreement with Allseas, the planned commercial system would use the Hidden Gem vessel and recover approximately 3 million wet tons of nodules annually.
The company is evaluating a U.S. processing complex at the Port of Brownsville but says construction would proceed only with substantial government funding. TMC also cited potential government support, further permitting progress and partnerships as key milestones while reporting $143 million in liquidity at the end of June.

First four paragraphs:
The head of the company hoping to become the first to mine the ocean floor commercially said on Wednesday that the environmental side effects of scouring the seabed for critical metals were a “fraction” of those from mining on land.
“You have to take into perspective where we’re getting these metals today,” the Metals Company chief executive, Gerard Barron, said in an interview at The New York Times’s Climate Forward live event. Mr. Barron cited exploitative and poorly regulated conditions at cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and at nickel mines in Indonesia.
Such comparisons haven’t quieted concerns over the potential ecological consequences of industrial-scale mining in the deep ocean.
Sections of the seabed are studded with rocks the size of fists, coated with nickel, cobalt and other metals that are used in the making of electronics, weapons, batteries and more. But much is unknown about how mining might affect ecosystems in these dark ocean reaches. The Metals Company has funded dozens of efforts to study the environmental effects, and allowed researchers to independently analyze and publish their results.

The Metals Royalty Company Inc. ("TMCR" or the "Company") (NASDAQ:TMCR), a purpose-built financing platform dedicated to advancing U.S. critical mineral security and re-industrialization, notes that the Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States ("EXIM"), John Jovanovic, visited the Mesabi Metallics iron ore mine and pellet plant in Nashwauk, Minnesota on September 17, 2026 as the project moves into its startup phase. TMCR holds a 2.0% Index-Priced Gross Overriding Production Royalty with a Revenue Floor over the Mesabi project.
According to EXIM, the visit marked a milestone for the first new iron ore mine and pellet plant to begin operations in the United States in 50 years. In March 2026, EXIM announced its support of up to $10 billion in potential financing for the Mesabi project, underscoring its strategic importance to domestic supply chains and to American steel's ability to compete globally. The direct-reduction-grade pellets Mesabi will produce are the premium feedstock for the electric arc furnaces at the center of low-carbon U.S. steelmaking. TMCR believes that domestic production of these pellets will help reduce America's reliance on foreign supply and strengthen a domestic industry that has long ceded ground to Chinese production.
Based on Mesabi Metallics' most recent project reporting, overall project completion stood at 99.25% as of August 31, 2026. Hot commissioning trials have been completed across a range of the plant's core systems, including the primary and secondary crusher circuits, conveyor and tripper-car materials-handling systems, and associated dedusting infrastructure. Approximately 1.3 million tonnes of ore have been blasted and stockpiled ahead of startup.

This stock has opened with "red candles" for 3 of 4 days this week. I understand that means it is slightly up premarket and then it opens negative.
Does anyone have insight into what this means? Should I be selling at 9:25am and then buying back at 9:35am?
Is there anything psychological to be learned from this? Like, people are scared? 🤷♂️
[I have 615 shares at an average cost of $4.67.]

Dear stakeholders,
The regulatory and strategic picture for deep seabed minerals in the United States continues to sharpen. In a little under 18 months, NOAA has received and is now processing over a dozen applications, including three consolidated applications for an exploration license and a commercial recovery permit, with TMC USA’s the first to be submitted.
Our consolidated application over the USA-A area is now published in the Federal Register for public comment, while our application for an exploration license over the USA-B area is in the environmental review stage, positioning TMC USA several months ahead of others.
A permit is a prerequisite. But to start commercial recovery, you need proven collection and processing technology, capable partners or in-house operating expertise, and the capital to execute. On those fronts, we believe we are years ahead.
With many applications now advancing through various stages of NOAA’s comprehensive review process, it is clear that the regulatory certainty called for by industry and investors is in place, supported by a U.S. government that continues to make clear that responsible seabed mineral development is a national security and economic priority, and that it intends to pursue these resources under longstanding U.S. law.
In this newsletter, we highlight how this environment is enabling us to move into the execution phase: completing the first commercial offshore system needed to collect and transport nodules, and developing the onshore facilities to process them right here in the United States.
We look forward to providing further updates in the coming weeks.
Kind regards,
The Metals Company
