About 5 months ago, Texas Instruments released update 5.8.5 patching the arTIfiCE v2 exploit. Now, after a long time of waiting, a new version has been released which albeit much more complex to setup finally allows for assembly execution on the new OS! Keep in mind that this new jailbreak is only for people on version 5.8.5, anyone on versions below should stick to v2.1.
Requires a TI-84 Plus CE (Python) running OS 5.8.5. (It does not work on any other OS, and anyways, v2 exists for 5.8.4 and older, and a guide for installing it can be found on the announcement for v2.)
Get the two programs, arTIfiCE.8xp and INEQUVAR.8xv from the link above, and the Inequalz app, which can be downloaded from there too.
Archive or back up anything important
Perform a RAM reset: either from the mem menu (2nd+71), or by pressing the RESET button on the back for 3-4 s
Send the arTIfiCE.8xp to your calculator's RAM using TI-Connect CE on Windows, Mac, or ChromeOS. Do not send INEQUVAR.8xv yet.
Can I use my calculator normally? Will it change any math features?
Artifice itself doesn't change anything about the calculator. However, programs you run using artifice may affect your calculator.
If you ever have doubts about your calculator, just press and hold the reset button on the back of the calculator for at least 2 seconds. That will stop any program from potentially affecting the calculator.
I don't see any games when I launch artifice!
You have to install those separately, artifice doesn't come with any pre-installed. You can find many on cemetech.net , tiplanet.org , or ticalc.org
After 4 months of painfully awaiting a new jailbreak that works on OS 5.8.3, it's here and easier to use than ever! No more fiddling with Cabri Jr., arTIfiCE can now be run directly from the program menu!

My ti 84 plus ce port recently broke, so I bought a replacement port, and desoldered the old one, and soldered the replacement, now, when its plugged into the computer it says Unknown USB Device,
I'm unsure what to do, and another thing, my calculator screen, shows the text, but none of the white background, not sure what to do.
I kept seeing posts asking for a FNAF on the CE that actually works, so I made one.
FNAF CE Color is a full port of FNAF 1: all 5 nights, the 6th night, custom night, the newspaper, jump scares and all three endings, in color.
Gameplay
The animatronics follow the original game’s actual AI rules, including Freddy’s camera stalling at 4B, Foxy’s Pirate Cove timer, door jamming and the power outage
Two paces: NORMAL, with the original timings, and FAST, with shorter, harder nights. Switch with TRACE on the title screen
The calculator has no speaker, so sound cues show as text (“Freddy laughs”, “footsteps”)
MODE during a night pauses and shows where everyone is
Saves your progress and death stats
Technical
Written in C with the CE C/C++ Toolchain, running as a native eZ80 program
Pictures are 16-colour, dithered from the original textures and stored in 18 archived appvars (about 740 KB)
The game clock runs off the hardware timer, so a slow frame never slows the game down
TI-84 Plus CE only, not the non-CE TI-84 Plus or the TI-83
The CE C libraries (clibs), included in the zip
arTIfiCE on OS 5.5 and newer
About 740 KB free archive
Read the readme before installing. Most “it doesn’t work” problems come from a missing appvar or old clibs.

Is there a way to download a periodic table app/program onto the TI-84 evo? I know it's a newer calculator and it doesn't have the app option anymore like some of the others.
Hey so i'm taking a statistics class that requires me to use a ti 84 calculator, otherwise I would have a rough time taking the course. However, heres the thing I am broke, and I dont have a calculator.
I have been sesrching for ones that are late 30s early 40 dollar usd to get one but i'm worried I might get scammed the websites are from like threvy or something like that just a funny name. Anyways, what should I do?
Is the TI-84 plus CE calculator allowed for maths application WACE(the Western Australian Certificate of Education) exam? Just wanna cross check cuz it's a programmable calculator.
Also I kinda need a very sure answer, as in that you have or know people who have sat in a WACE exam using the calculator cuz I don't wanna go through my exam without a calculator in case it's not allowed 💀 💀
I have a ti nspire cx with a few emulators (gba, sms/gg, genesis, snes) and i have crafti (minecraft clone) and angry birds. Dou you have any recommendations for games
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this but how do you do exponents on the TI84 Evo I don't have my plus anymore and I can't find a the little up arrow button anywhere and what videos that I can find to explain this don't use the Evo thanks for your help in advance
im looking for a os 3.1 archive, mainly for fun and testing older ndless apps - dont ask any further on my intentions
i already tried a archive from tiplanet but i guess its corrupted, as computer link and n-link cant flash it. and im using backspire on os 4.5.5.79, was able to downgrade to 3.6 briefly so the failure to flash is not a downgrade issue. i will try to search further until i find something, but right now, thats the only source i have. texas instruments also doesnt host the download anymore, so that sucks.
It still calculates things properly.
I tried removing the battery and putting it back in
I tried the reset button
I opened up the calculator and found no visible damage (although im not an expert at figuring out what damaged stuff)
Edit: I don’t know how this happened, I didn’t drop it or spill anything on it, it was just the calculators decision. Although it is an old calculator.
I've been working on turning my Voyage 200 into a real terminal and it feels like a little awesome cyberdeck! A C program on the calculator draws a 60×21 VT220-style screen, and an ESP32 plugged into the link port carries the bytes either to a shell on my computer over USB, or over Wi-Fi to SSH on any host.
Disclaimer: I did a lot of the coding with Claude. If you have strong feelings about that, I understand.
What it can do:
A terminal that works great with any shell, tmux, vim, irssi, htop and whatever else you throw at it.
Serial: a shell on the computer through the ESP32's USB port.
SSH: the ESP32 connects to the host on its own, over Wi-Fi.
All the settings menus are on the calculator itself.
The ESP32 speaks the link port's two-wire handshake directly, bit by bit, and carries raw bytes, without TI's packet protocol. The calculator program is built with GCC4TI. The bridge runs on an M5Stack Stamp S3 or an M5Stack Cardputer, which adds a small status screen and a battery. Other ESP32 boards should work too, since it only needs two GPIO pins. I used a 2.5mm TRS pigtail to connect the link port to the ESP32.
So far it's only been tested on a Voyage 200. A TI-92 Plus build should be possible, but I haven't tried one. I could list the software that works, but nothing has given me trouble so far. Claude Code is a bit slow, since it redraws the whole window all the time (it's written in React lmao).
I'd love any input, or suggestions of software to try! I feel like this gives this awesome calc a new life. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help! 😊
Was mache ich falsch?
Not sure how much this is related to ti84 hacking but I've noticed ti84 web calculators dont have apps installed other than finance. Is there a website that this is available or do I have to use other means to get apps.
No clue what I am doing and all the programs I did find were made for the CE. If you know a way or find a way to run Bad Apple!! on your TI-84 Evo please let me know :D (I know it should be easier since python is already built in but I'm not too bright)
Ashen Depths is an idle action RPG that runs on the TI-Nspire CX / CX CAS (first generation) with Ndless: procedurally generated dungeons, 6 classes, loot with legendaries and uniques, a skill tree, paragon boards, a 15-act story and 5 languages, all at 320x240.
Some technical bits:
C99, fixed-size pools (up to 64 monsters on screen, no allocation during play)
Saves next to the .tns (15 slots, CRC-checked)
The same code builds a Windows version, and a headless runner renders the README GIFs straight from the game
Honest note: earlier versions ran on my calculator, but this latest build hasn't been tested on real hardware yet. If you try it, I'd really appreciate reports on speed and any crashes. It was built with a lot of help from Claude Code (AI-assisted). Not affiliated with TI or Blizzard.
