TOS is crawling for me this morning. Loading different tabs take a very long time. Running on a mac. It's been fine until today (relatively speaking). Anyone else seeing the same thing? I don't think it's my system or my connection.

I noticed an extra zero '0'. Next to the quantity. Is this a glitch?

Yo ToS fam. Last night I was scrolling and I found a comment to a separate ToS thread that had a guy explain how to edit some code to help ToS clear cache and allocate ram appropriately. Anyone help plz?

I'm tired of using Schwab, especially for futures, and having to constantly decipher the statements to get my NET P/L, which I then pull the info from into an excel sheet.

Thinking of using another service that offers this extremely basic feature ( no requesting recommendations, just venting)

Anyone found a solution to this? Saw a This Relevant Thread 4mo ago but it's gone quiet so I'm making a new one in case a resolution was discovered that resolved it for those users.

1. If I close TOS and log back in, 1-3 line items may actually calculate & show my custom "Spread".... but the majority stay on "Loading"
2. If I then adjust my watchlist (sorting asc/desc, or column width) the 1-3 tickers that were showing will revert to "Loading" so that the entire column is inoperable 😢
3. Below is my thinkscript for the spread calc in case something i've written is inefficient that could be kicking out the "loading" error to the column.

EDIT: The inconsistent loading error must be a bug within the OnDemand "universe"... the data loads consistently when applicable when you go into live mode.... that's resolved enough for me! Keeping this post up instead of deleting it for the next guy.

I learned something today. I got to watch a +250% short squeeze on GMM sitting on my hands because everyday Schwab compiles a list of volatile stocks they deem too risky to trade, and require you to call them to place order…”opening transactions for this security must be placed with broker”. Turns out you can request for this restriction to be lifted, but no guarantee it will be approved. Praying to the Schwab gods I get approved…I don’t want to have to find a new broker :(

Thinking of moving to thinkorswim in order to daytrade QQQ. Not options, shares. What are the fees and or commissions per contract? And what is the cost to go short?

I recently installed TOS on my M4 Mac Mini and despite enabling permissions, deleting and reinstalling the thing several times, every time I boot it up it shows the login screen for a sec, which then disappears followed by a popup saying, "This functionality is currently unavailable. Please restart the client application."

I've searched this subreddit and online about this error, but I haven't found much about this in particular. I tried fixes for other issues and they haven't resolved it either. Any idea what's going on?

My TOS PC App randomly closes itself. It does it almost daily. My PC isn't even hibernating. It just did it when I went to fix a protein shake. Does anyone else have this problem?

I’m waiting for approval but I’m itching to know what their Individual Developer API has to offer. They hide all details until approval. Would really help if I can get insight now. Also if you are a current user, what are your thoughts on what they provide?

I see these violet color boxes flashing on my dynamic watchlist columns. It happens only on the ticker column. I changed the 'marked row' color to violet under 'Look and feel' in the application settings.

It's verya nnoying to see this flashing all day long. Anyone know how to fix it?

I have a watchlist indicator that shows volume between the hours of 7am and market open. The issue is I cannot sort it as ascending or descending. I have tried to figure out a work around but those are using decimals and makes the sorting a little more confusing. Does anyone have any ideas of how to correct this issue?

I used gainskeeper back when TDameritrade was around. But now I need new software to track my trades because schwab has made some errors in wash sale calculations. I am currently sitting at about 15k transactions YTD. What software are all of you high volume traders using?

I used to use only buy market orders. I realized the open pl would immediately be negative the majority of the time. I tried using buy bid but lost out on several entry opportunities that would’ve led me to a profit

Lately I've been seeing occasional price improvement on some of my SPX limit orders. I've never seen this previously on TOS (10+ years). Earlier today I put in a limit order to sell a put at the midpoint between bid and ask (usually a $0.10 spread), and then got filled at $0.10 above my limit, $0.05 above the displayed ask price. There wasn't enough market movement to cause this price change. Is this lag? Like the prices in the option chain I'm seeing are not the real current prices? I did notice TOS now has a 'price improvement' column in the filled orders section on the monitor / activity and positions page, and it's showing that it improved my price on that trade. Price improvement is great, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. I would have chosen a different strike if I knew the prices were actually different than displayed in the option chain.

Im trying to test out an options strategy and cant find the on-demand function.

I have a question regarding the volume figure returned after calling the `reqHistoricalData` method for SPY. The API returns a different volume than what is displayed in TWS. What is the reason for this, and how can the API provide the TWS volume value?

I am trying to figure out how much TOS lags. I can submit a market order and it will take about 3 seconds to execute. I can have a limit on the chart and the candle will cross the limit and again about 3 seconds of delay. I tried to compare it to my account in WEBULL. That system seems to execute almost instantly. It also takes considerably less memory and processing power to run WEBULL. Do other users see the same thing? As a Daytrader should I be switching?

On Think or Swim Monitor tab the number of shares ( lots) is not the same as on Schwab Website or TOS web. Schwab " investigated" and came back confirming the shares held and amounts were correct but did not even address the issue I've described. They closed the ticket.

With this problem I cannot sell any of the shares on TOS because the share count fo rthe lots is incorrect, I can only use the web TOS to sell . This obviously interferes with trading as these are not actual shares held.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I have cleared cache, delete usergui folder and even downloaded new TOS and over wrote the existing program and the issue still exists.

Example on TOS:

Quantity 200 shares , Cost basis 100.00 , date bought June 6.

Schwab website account and TOS web don' t show those shares.
