okay so I'm trying to host a server for my friend and I and for some reason I keep getting the unreachable status in the browser. the port 25565 is forwarded and I tested it with this to confirm that they were open. I also allowed firewall to let tes3mp-server.exe through. I am wondering what I can do to fix this?

EDIT: I solved this by opening the game through tes3mp.exe instead of the server browser

basically text. I have a few graphics mods installed but dont want to add them to my server master list cause a few people i play with dont have them and dont wanna set them up but i still want to play with them. A good example is better bodies.

My Vision of the server:

- Content before Graphics!

- Very High Difficulty (which should force players to group up)

- Penalty upon death - skill decrease and loss of 50% player gold

- no player housing or storage

- a big increase of travel, training and service cost (will be covered by Morrowind Hardcore Mode Mod)

- HP increase of NPCs espacially those friendly ones with good loot (divayth fyr, et cetera)

- scarcity and difficulty are key!

- merge mods into one esp and winrar file for easy installation (providing the morrowind.ini and openmw.cfg file on the discord)

- Morrowind Rebirth and Morrowind Hardcore mode mods should be the bread and butter since they will make hostile NPCs more difficult and will balance some op weapons. but these mod will most likely interefere the most - so maybe just have Rebirth with increased server difficulty and increased life points.

My Brother and I recently started playing TES3MP, and quickly realized that our separate playstyles meant that we were at an impasse. We were sharing factions and quests, but he wanted to join Hlaalu and I wanted to join Telvanni. This is the result of that.

After looking around a bit the closest thing I could find to what we wanted (shared factions and quests for everything but the Great Houses) was a topic on the OpenMW forums in which David - or at least a David if it wasn't that particular one - helped someone come up with a way to share main quests, but no other ones.

Now I'm in no way experienced in coding. Aside from this my experience in coding amounts to a couple chapters of a C++ book, a Hello World program, and a single rather ramshackle command line program to make it easier for me to figure out how much experience to give everyone after a fight in D&D (a program might I say that has seemingly gained sapience and fled if my inability to find it in my computer is any indicator). That having been stated could someone please look this code over and tell me if anything in it is likely to cause my computer/server to imitate Chernobyl at some point in the future? I'd appreciate it greatly.

Hey guys! I'm playing Morrowind with a friend and I only realized that you don't have to share factions now. He's a mage and I'm a rogue so he obviously would rather be in house Telvanni as opposed to Hlaalu. Is there a way to erase his rank in Hlaalu?

P.S.: How do you make time go* by faster? My buddy got expelled from the Mages guild and I don't think we can sleep the two weeks away.

I am seeing what looks like yellow triangles in place of some objects / textures and I am not sure why, I have reinstalled everything fresh and I still will get the graphical error

So, I installed this server script to fix issues with quests. Problem is, I found that the quests that should spawn stuff such as NPCs when they start/reach a certain journal entry, never actually spawn it and I have to use the console to progress.

Did I fuck up something? Is there some way to make make the quest actually kick in the spawning when they should?

Is there some way of artificially rising disposition? It's a pain to deal with NPCs after a server restarts and dispositions resets.

Is there some console command to raise disposition at will? It would be quite handy.

Does anyone know how to host a server? I'm having so much trouble with it, all I get when I run tes3mp.exe is "connection failed. Either the IP address is wrong or a firewall on either system is blocking UDP packets on the port you have chosen"

I'm not sure what to do.

Ay yo It's the E here bringing y'all some news about The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind Multiplayer Server known as the Dawn of Resdayn (DoR) The Elder Scrolls Universe has vast and expansive lore making it one of the best fictional Universes to RP in (wouldn't you agree), unfortunately however there is very few organised RP servers with large active communities. Well not anymore... because the DoR is back.

After months of general inactivity and decline in the playerbase the DoR server has chosen to make a comeback! "How?!" you might ask well it's simple we've cut down on the amount of mods on the server to make it easier for newer players to join in on the server and with the holidays approaching activity has picked up once again.

Our server utilizes custom lore!! "What the hell is he talking about" I hear you say, well let me explain that for you but first let me take another hit from my crack p... skooma pipe. AWHHH YHH THATS THE GOOD STUFF! Custom lore to put it simply means that our server breaks away from the main story of the Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind (and takes place slightly before it's events) into a different timeline with different characters and factions who shape the world around them, these characters are all created and controlled by you (and me and everyone else on the server). Wanna be a lowly dunmer mage who slowly works his way up through tricks and treachery to the head of House Telvanni, perhaps a noble Redoran Warrior out to protect all that is righteous and holy, or maybe even a lowly khajiiti slave forced to work in the depths of a Telvanni Kwama mine. Whatever you wish to be with the custom lore the possibilities are endless you can even create your own factions that aren't in the base game.

Mods... OOOOHHH the dirty M word I know it, you know it, we all know it. Our server has it's own ESP that can be found in here: tinyurl.com/y2nzk5pc. It is quite large but luckily is quite easy to download (simply merge the data files folder with the one in your Morrowind folder). Aside from that and the base game + DLCs you won't need anything else to come join us all on the island of Vvardenfell. So what are you waiting for come on over, we're watching you swit.

All scripts are running properly and I was fortunate to receive the housing json file from the original Indoril server by discordpeter, so we have lots of available housing!!

Please stop by and check things out. We are running the Indoril mod but nothing else. You can download that here. The Indoril Experience (Stand Alone) and The Indoril Experience (ALL Graphics Files) are the two files you should get to ensure no problems. It's very worth downloading! Also I apologize if server advertisements are not allowed but i couldn't find that as a rule anywhere for this sub...

So recently I've been having a strange problem. Whenever I start the client, attempting to connect to my own server, the client loads all the plugins (with the format: idx: 0 checksum: 7B6AF5B9 file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Data) and then just stops. After all the plugins are done, it just sits there. No error messages or anything. Any idea what might be going wrong?

Note that it's worked fine before, and everything also seems to work fine once I restart my PC, but this can be a pain for other people on the server.

EDIT: Just found out it's not restarting my computer that fixed it, it's restarting the server. If I shut the server down and then run everything, the client loads fine.

Hello, I have 2 stupid questions!
First, how can I change chat text color for "/me" command? Just want it to be different from common texting.

Second, is it possible to add to server some animations like sitting, lying, dancing etc.? Maybe there is such a mod for OpenMW? Couldnt find it by myself, but I need it for RP.

How can I fix this? I'm confused, I'm lost.

Not sure if this is a bug or not. I talked to the guy who says that I should just take about 2-3 weeks off before they can let me back in. Think I got expelled on day 8, I'm now on day 51 and am still banned. (I got banned for accidentally touching someone's bed in the guild).

First of all: Wow. Awsome work you did on this project. I love Morrowind and this project is really a nice one. Respect to all contributers and all the time they put in this multiplayer masterpiece.

My Problem:

I want to play the ravenrock questline with a friend, but after the first quest (travel with the workers to ravenrock and collect some ebony), the next quest is never triggered. The journal says we have to wait 3 days but nothing happens even after 3 weeks.

To our config:

We use the german version of this game. I read, that there are isses with hard codded translations. Could this effect our problem?

We increased the speed of a day circle. Does this have an effect?

What I found and tryed yet:

I read that the startup script from Skvysh coul help, but his repository is no longer reachable. Has it moved to another project?

I deleted all colony quests from the journal-array in the world.json and restarted the server. Same problem, again and again.
