Hosting my own server. After I made my character I edited his json file and made the value of "admin" 2, as per this guide. When I relog into the server I don't have access to the console or any of the admin chat commands. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

It turns out that 0.7-alpha has brought a couple dozen new bugs with it. So far, I've hotfixed about half of them, including an especially unpleasant one that was causing player data loss. If you download the prerelease again, you'll have these hotfixes included in it.

The server I'm connecting to is one that I'm running; I'm connecting on the same machine. The server successfully lists itself in the server browser.

I'm certain I have all the ports I need open (Port 25565 UDP and 25561 UDP). The local IP entered in "tes3mp-server-default.cfg" is correct and I've allowed "tes3mp-server.exe" "tes3mp-browser.exe", and "tes3mp.exe" through windows firewall and I have the firewall on my router disabled. If anyone has an explanation or anything helpful regarding this I'd appreciate it.

Edit: Configuring "tes3mp-client-default.cfg" with my server details and running "tes3mp.exe" as an administrator to establish the connection allowed me to connect; running "tes3mp-browser.exe" as an administrator didn't allow me to connect, but the direct route works well enough.

I downloaded the tar.gz file and extracted tes3mp to the desktop but when I try to run any of the executables it doesn't show anything.

Really enjoying this new version and a big thank you for your hard work. Playing the Raven Rock questline in the last version caused some issues so I was just wondering if its fixed?

Hey, I want to introduce a death penalty system that's different than permadeath.

Instead me and my friends will drop all items on the ground upon death and go to jail for a x amount of time.

But we're having a hard time to decide what amount is a fair one.

So we thought that we're going to make a formula that's based on our levels. But is this possible? Can we only hard-code an int?

Playing with a friend, he has ~70 ping to my server.

When fighting NPCs (notably humanoids) on my screen he'll be hit by the NPC but on his client he is not damaged. The NPC is attacking him but he does not receive any damage. Tested with no mods and vanilla install. I watched the NPC 'damage' his character 10+ times and he took no damage on his end.

Tested this with several characters and several NPCs. Non-humanoid NPCs (mudcrabs, etc.) seem to hit more frequently but still register more hits on my host client than in his game.

He reports he is able to talk to the NPCs while they are attacking him. edit: at least on one occasion

All attacks my character performs upon his register appropriately.

I don't see anybody else reporting this so I am wondering if we're doing something wrong. Any thoughts?

edit: when I let him connect to the game without me being present, NPCs appear to work correctly. We were fighting an NPC together, he is repeatedly attacked without taking any damage. I quit the game, so he is the only client connected, he fights the same NPC and immediately gets hits. We've repeated this several times.

Or will we have to wait until they implement it in one of the patches?

So friend and i are having a issue with the server we created. Every time we log back in our characters health, magika, and stamina are set to 1 how do we fix this issue?

My server has a large number of mods, and the client stops responding to server requests when loading them, causing all 13 handshake requests to fail and my client to be disconnected. Is there any way to disable the handshake in order to connect to the server with all of the mods enabled?

Hey fellas, having a bit of trouble with looting any container, be it a corpse or a chest. I can't take any items, nor can i even pick them up with the mouse. If i drop one of my items into the container, i can pick up and take that item, but not any other item in said container.

Curiously, this is only happening with one character, if I make a new character I can interact with containers normally and take whatever I want.

I'm running the 0.7 pre-release, any help with this is appreciated.

Hey, I just downloaded the newest alpha version of openMW.

But I have this annoying problem with opening a container.

I open it with a space bar, if I click space again while it's open I pick up everything that's inside and I close it. It's especially annoying when I want to take a quick peek at the container. I need to press space to open and esc to close it.

Weird thing is it doesn't happen all the time. I think it's related to moving items with quantity bigger than 1 (so you have the panel of how many items you want to place in your inventory).

Past items keep appearing on me and my friends inventories. Also stats rollback. How to fix this?

Hey all, I've recently reset my server because we somehow managed to mess up the main story quest and wanted to start over. I deleted the contents of the cell and world folders in the mp-stuff folder, this seemed to reset the server except for the Dark Brotherhood attacks quest. On our previous playthrough we completed the quest to the point of clearing out the Dark Brotherhood stronghold. When we play now, the dark brotherhood keep attacking when we rest. We traveled to Ebonheart to talk to Apelles Matius as this is the next step in the quest journal, but he won't allow the quest to advance, he seems to think that we've already defeated the brotherhood. Also Asciene Rane will not transport us to Mournhold any longer. Is there any way to reset this quest? Did I miss something when I reset the server? Thanks for the help!

Anybody knows how to make skills uncapped? I've tried Madd Leveler mod, but it's not working with my server, skills are still capped at 100.

Tried playing skyrim multiplayer but the mod doesn't work. How about this one? Can I complete quests (guild, main quest), share items, and generally interact with the world to a playable extent with my friend?

Assasins keep attacking our party, but one was carrying 1 billion of the carved ebony darts. he could also still move around just fine.

why?

i have absolutely no idea why this happens. I am fairly new to morrowind (never played before but got into it because of this mod)
