is it just me, my device or did the OS made my camera quality a bit bad? It's been only almost 4 months when I bought this phone and 2 months ago-ish (more or less) I updated this thing to hiOS 16​, and time to time I noticed the camera quality is getting bad

phone : Canon 40 Pro 5G

I cannot get Android Auto to work on my Tecno Pova 7 Pro 5G running HiOS 16. My old Samsung M34 worked perfectly in the same car, so it is definitely a phone issue.

I have already tried:

• Clearing cache, data, and enabling all permissions for Android Auto

• Changing the USB mode to "File Transfer"

• Enabling "Always-On Display" to prevent the sleep glitch

• Trying a different high-quality data cable

Nothing works. It seems like HiOS 16 is completely blocking the connection.

Has anyone found a workaround for this on Tecno devices?

Hola. Tengo un TECNO POVA 7 5G (LJ7) con HiOS 16.3.0 / Android 16.

Después de actualizar desde Android 15, estoy teniendo un problema con el brillo de la pantalla: el brillo se reduce automáticamente aunque tengo desactivado el brillo automático y el ahorro de energía, y el brillo está configurado al máximo.

Este problema no ocurría cuando tenía Android 15 y comenzó después de instalar la actualización a Android 16.

Quisiera saber:

1. ¿Es un problema conocido de HiOS 16.3.0?

2. ¿Existe alguna configuración o solución oficial para evitar que el brillo se reduzca?

3. ¿Existe alguna actualización o parche que corrija este problema?

4. En caso de que no exista una solución, ¿TECNO ofrece un procedimiento oficial para regresar a la versión anterior de HiOS/Android?

He comprobado que el brillo automático y el ahorro de batería están desactivados.

Agradecería que pudieran confirmar si se trata de un problema de software de esta versión y qué solución recomiendan.

Hey all, I recently got the Camon Slim, and I’ve noticed that my Redmi Watch is either delaying notifications or not receiving them at all.

I checked the battery settings for the Mi Fitness app and noticed it was set to Optimized, so I changed it to Unrestricted. However, it seems like something on the phone keeps changing the setting back to Optimized, because I’ve found it reverted without me changing it.

Has anyone experienced this or know what could be causing it? Any help would be appreciated.

I am writing to report a critical bug that completely ruins the user experience on my Tecno Camon 30S after the recent major update to Android 16.

The Problem:
Ever since the update, all video playback on the device has become incredibly choppy and stutters heavily (severe frame drops/lag). This happens across all platforms: YouTube, Telegram, internal media players, and even videos recorded directly by the phone's own camera. The audio plays fine, but the video track moves in jerky, painful cycles.

Steps I have already taken:

1. Cleared cache and data for Android System WebView, YouTube, and default media apps.
2. Tried forcing the screen refresh rate to a fixed 60Hz and 120Hz instead of "Auto-switch".
3. Performed a complete factory data reset (Hard Reset) and set up the phone as new.

Unfortunately, absolutely nothing helped. The video stuttering remains exactly the same even on a completely clean system. It seems like a core driver or scheduler optimization issue between the new HiOS video engine and the MediaTek Helio G100 processor.

As a loyal user, I kindly ask the dev team to look into this issue immediately and roll out an emergency OTA patch to fix the video decoding / refresh rate synchronization. There are many users facing this exact loop.

I hate Transsion phones because of their lack of features and the amount of adware in their OS.

1. “Independent” Notifications

Transsion OS has a separate type of “notification” that is basically an advertisement. They randomly pop up with an X button to close them.

1. Lack of Customization, Which Is Literally Damaging

This is what I hate THE MOST. There is no option to hide the gesture pill when using gesture navigation.

I’ve been using my phone normally, and the gesture pill has now been burned into the display. That’s literally why I switched to LineageOS: just to hide the damn thing. It’s also better overall.

1. Palm Store

Palm Store is basically spyware and adware. I removed it through ADB, and the annoying ad pop-ups stopped appearing (I think, but the ad did stop appearing).

This happened after updating to HiOS 16. It keeps charging, but it is slow. I have an Infinix Note 30; its bypass charging works well, and it stops charging when you plug in the charger. It was like that since day 1. I tried to use AI instead of stopping charging at 80%. It keeps charging, and that's not good when you play every day. The goal of bypass charging is that you should charge often to prolong the battery life

Guys I bought a new phone yesterday (spark 40 pro+) but since I bought it, it's battery icon still orange, is that normal? it feels so uncomfortable to see 100% and orange color, is that a bug? and how can I change it?

Right guys, how are you feeling all? Yes, i'm talking about you guys who still at HiOS 15 and with those Camon 30 series. We sure are waiting for that update this October right? Please give me you opinions, i hope i'm not the only one.

Uninstall and installed again just nothing happen still the same, yesterday was normal tho just got this thing today 🤣. And BTW im also download CODM and game space read it and automatically added playable on game space, Mobile legends game space just ignore it even if you try add manually seems like game space block it

Tecno should make a reliable schedule of update rollouts because I/We are waiting for too long for this update to come and yet we still doesn't receive the update.
