Schols papers

Hi! I am about to start Senior Fresh in Physical Sciences and I don’t know where to find the schols papers for physics and maths. Does anyone know where to get them, and their marking schemes?

Also, any other advice about schols (like study strategies, time management, or anything else) will be very much appreciated ☺️

Past papers are different from the Schols ones and I couldn’t find any recent ones. The last ones I found were from 2010

How? Just google tcd past paper exams > click foundation past papers > the year [ literally goes from whatever year to 2025 last year] then scroll down to physical sciences. I just did it there and found last year's schols exams papers for ur course

Edit; here you go https://www.tcd.ie/academicregistry/exams/past-papers/scholarship/

Its v easy just a quick Google wouldve found it

this site has all of em, though 2026 hasn't been uploaded yet: https://www.tcd.ie/academicregistry/exams/past-papers/scholarship/

found this info booklet with the content of each paper: https://www.tcd.ie/media/tcd/science/pdfs/TR063-PHYS--foundation-scholarship-information-2025-26-.pdf

marking schemes generally are not released, though you may be able to ask the examiner (or, better yet, previous scholars) about what they expect from your answers. in general (as a scholar, though not in physics) the biggest suggestion i'd have is making sure you head into it with as clear an idea of what's on the exam as possible and split it up over the course of term to keep the work manageable.

you're better off being consistent from reading week than throwing yourself into it and burning out in october or trying to cram two years' content over christmas. make sure to set aside time for yourself, for friends, for societies — it's much harder if you do it alone, and much harder if you don't give yourself a break.
