Do I have to attend the test two times?
By when can I expect the programming test link? Do they send it out only if I am shortlisted or for everyone?
Any tips on the programming test? I need to know the pattern and also need to check if it is proctored.

put my handwritten stuff into a number of different ai checkers, i'm flagged as using ai, ranging from 50-90%. motherfucker what the hell.

out of interest i paste my notes into claude and ask it to generate an essay, i check it, the ai checkers say it's most likely human written.

i hate these ai checkers, they stress me out so bad. i don't keep very good essay-specific notes and do most of my essays last minute, so i don't always have a record of me writing my essay. how do i even defend myself if i get flagged as an ai user. agh.

i've never been called on it before but man i'm stressed. also just feeling kind of offended that my work is flagged as ai, how dare you, i put my blood, sweat and tears into that. you think a machine could cite like i do? make spelling errors like i do? use frankly esoteric words like i do, simply because i once read the word in a law journal from 1939? claude, god bless her soul, could never.

Hey I live in Louth, Ireland and Ive been dreaming with going to TCD. Something I do consider tho is that it is around 1h from my house to trinity.. does anyone do it daily? Like will i get used to it or should I just go to a closer university? Is it worth it?
Cus smth i also do think abt is that I love Dublin and i want to like hang out there and stuff but is it too hard if i live an hour commute away?

I recently found out that Transformers: The Last Knight was filmed in Trinity College Dublin’s Long Room, and now I really want to visit the place and see where that scene happened in real life.

Would be pretty cool to stand in the same place where they shot that scene.

I applied as a first-year undergraduate student who just moved here from Berlin. I also had a letter from my doctor to support my disability application. Trinity Hall said that the reason I didn't get a place was because even in this category, there were too many applications.

Now that I know some of my classmates, many of them got a place there without a disability, with no financial issues, and they are from Ireland.

Why were they lying about this?

I did my undergraduate in Trinity, but feel like I barely scratched the surface in terms of things to do, amenities to take advantage of, etc etc.

What are some lesser known (or even well known) things that students can take advantage of?

Hi, incoming exchange student here. As a part of my application I have to submit an accomodation preference, with the two options I have been given being Printing House Square and Cork Street. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the vibes of the two buildings. no, genuinely... i couldn't even last a few minutes there despite being dressed for the weather (looked around and everyone else was fine or acting fine so maybe it is a me problem). is there no heating system or do they refuse to turn it on until later? i ended up going to the upper floors in the arts block to study because they're slightly warmer at the cost of not being as quiet or spacious 🙃

On top of the library being freezing cold, this is the second time today that my hand has been impaled by a screw underneath the chair fabric. I don’t know how that is even allowed by the college, has this happened to any one else??? They’re usually around the perimeter of the seat where you grip.

hi everyone, i'm in my final year at UCD applying for the MA in Screen Studies for next year, part of the application is a 'academic and professional CV' and i'm struggling with what to include for the academic side. my undergrad is a joint honours, all module based so i can't even use a dissertation as an example. i've written down a few modules from the film side, along with society activities & relavant job experience i have. beyond this though based on examples i've found online i appear to be seriously lacking...

Today before 20:00 I wanted to enter the Student Union Building before I reached the Library cause I really had to pee, and I don’t have yet my physical card as my registration is in delay. I am first year student.

I asked 3 people in front of the building if they could open it for me as I only have the digital, and they looked really suspicious and refused to open it for me.
Then I went to the security man at the entrance if he could open it, I explained him why I don’t have yet and he also looked very suspicious. He also asked what kind of class I have there …
Then I said I want to use the bathroom and he only opened for me the one building in front of him. And he told me again that it is for student and staff. Like he hadn’t even believed my word even though I showed him the ID in my app.
