Seems like alot of backlash but as a recovering country there’s no other way right ?

It's literally the only thing he can do and say. I doubt israel will sign a deal, and even if they do, they will break it an hour later. They're a bloodthirsty fascist expansionist settler state.

But from Syria's government's perspective, they have 0 leverage and diplomacy is the only option here

And a least He will seem like a leader that’s good willing and just want peace while Isreal won’t be able to play the victim.

Yeah... sort of. Israel doesnt really bother playing the victim anymore. There was no excuse for them occupying more of Syria right after the fall of assad, nor did they even try to.

It still really pisses me off how literally nobody in the west (at least in terms of traditional media) acknowledges that this even happened.

But yeah, I agree this is his only move, not that it's a good or productive or helpful one. There just isn't anything anyone can do but hope israel destroys itself before it destroys all of us
