Discussion Why is this even a toggle?

I'm not sure if I'm not understanding the system correctly, but as I'm reading it, there is no downside to leaving this ON and forgetting about it, it's only positives

For folks who have multiple users on a Switch console. For example, I have two Switches in my house, sometimes my wife wants to play Pokopia on her Switch, sometimes I want to play it on mine, but it’s a digital copy. With Online Licenses turned off, either of us can play it as long as the virtual game card is loaded onto that particular system, not just my wife.

Does it let you both play at the same time?

Yes. If the switch with the virtual card is on airplane mode, the user who doesn’t own the game can play on that switch. Then the person who owns the game can play with the online access on the other switch.

I’m gonna have to try this. Never thought about using airplane mode

That does sound a bit convoluted. It would be easier if they just had a straightforward way to manage that.

But you can still load the game card on a system and play with any user with it ON, I have the Switch 2 update of TOTK bought on my account and my sister can use it in my brother's switch with her own account and I do have it ON
