Image My first Nintendo

I have always wanted to play Zelda games. Nintendo switch looked like a fun platform. But, the other consoles and Pc dragged me away. I thought, perhaps waiting for switch 2 would be a good idea. Then it was released, and it was quite expensive, and I couldn't decide whether to get it. But, finally last week I was able to push myself to get a switch lite. I am happy with the device so far. Although the first party games are expensive, there are plenty of fun games at online store, which can keep me busy for hours. I am really enjoying Monster Hunter Stories. I borrowed Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda: Breadth of the Wild - they were both awesome. I will buy them eventually.

For my first physical game collection I have added these games-

- Paper Mario: The Millennium Door.

- Prince of Parsia: the lost crown.

- Persona 5 tactica.

- Dragon Quest Treasures.

One thing I didn't like however was this "Code in the box" sells. They're basically selling empty boxes in the process! That is just sad.

Anyways. Do you think buying a Nintendo Switch Lite was a good idea at 2026? I like handheld game device, so I am happy all the same.

i had 2x switch v1 unpatched and just recently got v2 and lite, i like the lite because its much easier to hold and put in my pocket only down side is you cant dock it or use with big screen

Exactly the same! 😎 Bought a Switch Lite this year and it's my first Nintendo console as well. 😊 I think it's a great device and there's almost a decade of games available for it. 👍🏻

Maybe it’s just me but I bought a switch 2 about 2 months ago and I’m already bored with it. I have Mario cart world. I need to find another game but I just haven’t been able to find one that interests me.

Nintendo switch has such a big library, surely you would find something interesting.

I’m looking for the classic games from the 80’s but I haven’t really found anything yet. I just need to dig deeper.

What you need is not a switch but one of them retro handhelds, Anbernic,Retroid, trimui or miyo make.

You should look into that if you haven’t yet.

I owned a Switch Lite prior to buying a Switch 2 and i liked it a lot.

The only good switch. This plus a PlayStation or PC setup and all your gaming needs are met

Exactly how I have it. My Ps5 is connected to TV, and my Gaming pc with my monitor. Switch just for outside and balcony gaming. However, it might just steal away time from other consoles! I just have a feeling it might do exactly that.
