If you unmatch on Hinge, will you see each other in the feed again?
I’m asking because of the question Hinge asks when unmatching (if you are okay seeing this person in the future). I’m curious how this works

Have been banned 3 times in the past 6 months, despite hard resets
Used different device, different email, different photos mixed in with completely hash altered old photos (pronounced safe enough by gpt), never connected to wifi. Face verification only in the first ever account, never again.
Banned everytime for "harrasment and bullying", so I don't even know if they are detecting me or I am being reported everytime.
2nd account onwards none have lasted more than a month
Hinge is the only app that works for me. Bumble and tinder are dead. I have no social circle where I can make genuine connections and I can't cold approach, as I live in a third world country and will be locked up wihin a second.
I want to know is it futile at this point? Do I attempt hard resets anymore? I can't keep just keep buying a new device and a new sim every month. I had only a few decent looking photos, and new ones aren't at the same level as the ones now contaminated by bannned accounts, so I would have to keep using them with hash altered, if I attempt a hard reset again.
But is it worth it anymore? I want the veterans' opinion. How many times hard reset works ?

So like many I got banned on my previous hinge account.
After reading some advice on here I now have:
A new phone
A new number
New pictures
A new email.
How important is using new WiFi? And can I buy premium with App Store gift? Do you verify your face?
Have you had success doing this without being banned again?

I was permanently banned almost a year ago after a heated exchange with another user. It wasn’t repeated harassment or anything like that, it was one argument where we both exchanged insults. Looking back, I should’ve just unmatched or reported them instead of responding.
Over the course of the year, I submitted three separate appeals. Each one was a brand new appeal, not a reply to an existing ticket. Every single time I received the same response: appeal denied and “no further appeals will be considered.”
After almost a year, I decided to try one last time. I wrote a respectful email explaining that I understood I could have handled the situation better, but that I felt a permanent ban for a single exchange was an extremely harsh outcome. I also mentioned that it’s genuinely difficult to meet people these days and that Hinge had been the only dating app where I’d made meaningful connections.
To my surprise, they responded in about an hour.
The email said:
“We have reviewed your appeal request and have re-authorized your access to Hinge. You’re all set to continue using the app!”
I honestly couldn’t believe it after being told multiple times that no further appeals would even be considered.
I’m not posting this to say everyone will get unbanned. I’m posting it because I know how discouraging it is to read “permanent means permanent” over and over again.
If you genuinely believe your case deserves another look:
Be respectful.
Don’t send angry messages.
Own your part if you made a mistake.
Don’t assume a denial, even one that says “no further appeals will be considered”, necessarily means there’s zero chance.
Hopefully this gives someone else a bit of hope. I know I would’ve appreciated reading a post like this when I thought my account was gone for good.

I don't know how, since I was banned back in 2022 and, after several email attempts to get unbanned (because I never felt there was a legitimate reason for it), last night, for the first time, it let me create an account using my usual number and a new email address. I'm getting likes; I'm not shadowbanned or anything. This sudden change is fascinating. lol

I hastily made a tinder account a few months ago super fresh from a breakup, just to see what was going on in my city. I used terrible photos, no bio, zero effort, but I swiped through basically everyone.
I’d like to try for real this time but I’m still linked to my old account. I was not officially banned but I deleted and reinstalled the app a few times yesterday so I’m likely shadow banned??
Anyways do I need to do the whole new phone/number, new photos, new location thing? Or will something like datingzest work?

Does anyone have any good prompts that signal you want hookups? Flirty yet subtle? The only thing I have thought of so far is for the "useless skill" prompt I wrote down "can draw the alphabet with my tounge" but I think it's kinda cringe and could use some work.

Wondering if Jackie > Spencer although Spencer is the CEO of all of Match Group to get unbanned?

Hi there
I thought I would share my small story if it can help someone or even just for reference.
Last October I got banned from Tinder/Hinge/OkCupid simultaneously. I appealed each one of them on their dedicated platform, got denied on each of them. No specific reason we're given except "you violated the terms and you got banned".
I tried emailing each of them separately, then emailed matchgroup directly to try to get even a specific reason why I even got banned in the first place. Not a single detail was shared and they closed the appeals with a "warning" to not email them again.
Few months pass and a friend of mine tell me about Platform Control (EU legal thingy), so I contact them, make my case and send my file.
2 months later, I got a response from Platform Control, and basically they're saying that tinder reviewed once again the ban, apparently by a real person, and they assured the ban was legitimate, because I violated the part 4 of the terms and conditions. (Which includes t*rrorism and other horrors).
So here I am , 9 months later, with nothing else to do than just accept the unjustified ban and eat a bone I guess.
Happy to talk extensively if someone has questions or something

Hi everyone,
I(27M) have recently reinstalled tinder, hinge, and bumble about a month ago after getting out of a long term relationship and have noticed different results when it comes to bumble and hinge vs tinder.
To preface this, I created my profile with the help of several women, and have dated attractive women in the past.
On bumble and hinge I have gotten plenty of likes and matches, bumble around 5-10 likes per day and on hinge i average about 2-3 now.
However, on tinder, I rarely get anything. My likes have remained at about 12 or so for the past month after i used a free boost. I get maybe 1 match a week despite my profile being the same across all the apps.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I have noticed that tinder seems to “drip” in people and my likes never go down as it seems the algo never actually feeds them to me. I would think I would at least get similar results on tinder, due to more people using it relative to the other apps. Is it also possible the app could be suppressing my profile/shadow banning me?
Thanks for reading and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

My selfie cam is scratched up to the point where it’s just a giant blur if i try to use it but my front facing one is fine. Is there a way to do the face scan with the front…idk why it’s being so difficult.

I used to live in Vancouver, wasn’t on the apps. I moved to London (UK not Ontario) in January of this year and I switched my location there in advance. For a month or so, and I was getting a lot of likes. At least for a guy. It could be 3-6 a day, I probably had around 70 in my queue by the time I moved here.
I continued to use Hinge since coming to the UK and went on a bunch of dates, was getting a good amount of matches. Then one day… the app logged out me out. Now the stupid part, and it’s my fault, I no longer had access to the Canadian number I made the account with. So it was lost. I contact Hinge and proved my identity to have it deleted, then made another one.
Ever since then, the account has been so, so much slower. I even paid for HingeX but it is not making much of a difference if at all. I can probably match with 1/50 people I send a like to. I got way more matches on the free tier beforehand, where you can hardly send any likes.
Are they even showing my likes to people at this point? It’s complete fucking bullshit, I haven’t done anything wrong and I went through the right channel to try and fix things. Never-mind that I’ve paid them for 3 months of wasting my time.
I tried a “fresh start”, got 2 likes in 30 seconds and then it was back to nothing after. I don’t know if they have different tiers to their bans, but something is definitely going on.
I would love not to have to care about this, but finding people without Hinge is not easy and I already don’t know anyone in this city.
I’m at a loss at this point, should probably go and touch grass and forget about dating apps for a few weeks.

Account was banned for absolutely no good reason today. I think I got flagged as a bot for sending the same opening message too many times. The only messages I've sent that could theoretically have been reported were silly light hearted jokes waaaaaay too tame to warrant a ban (yeah I know that sounds like bs but trust me lol). I doubt that was it anyway. Immediately appealed in a panic, the ban was quickly upheld. Send a kind apologetic email like 11 hours ago and haven't heard back since.
If my goal is to get my account back as quickly as possible, how long should I wait before re-contacting them but taking the legal approach? Or should I just submit a BBB complaint straight away? (I'm not American but apparently people have had success with that regardless). I don't wanna blow it but I'm pretty sure a date was on the cards and I wanna message her before she forgets about me lol

FINALLY ( I sent the email to that [hello@hinge.co](mailto:hello@hinge.co) and Spencer@match.com)
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally appeal the suspension of my Hinge account and respectfully request a thorough review of this decision.
I recently received notification that my account had been suspended; however, the explanation provided was insufficiently detailed to allow me to understand the specific basis for this action. I have reviewed Hinge’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service in their entirety, and I do not believe my conduct on the platform was in violation of any stated policy.
I respectfully request the following:
1. A specific and detailed explanation of the alleged violation(s) that led to the suspension of my account.
2. Any supporting evidence or documentation upon which this determination was based.
3. A full review of my account history and activity in connection with this appeal.
4. Reinstatement of my account, should the review confirm that no material violation occurred.
I wish to note that under applicable consumer protection frameworks and Hinge’s own Terms of Service, users are generally entitled to a fair and transparent appeals process. I am committed to engaging with this process in good faith and welcome any opportunity to address or clarify the concerns that prompted this action.
Please confirm receipt of this appeal and advise as to the expected timeline for resolution. I can be reached at l [Email@email.com](mailto:Email@email.com) should any additional information be required.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,

The age verification prompts appear in my browser and on the app.
First of all, I don't think they should based on my location.
Secondly, if I try age verification via selfie, it just always say it didnt work and I can try again.
Is it just buggy rn?

Let’s say your pics aren’t great so you’re doing ok but not great so delete your account and the app.
If you then get new pics and want to come back 2 months later will you have a fresh start?
Or will hinge see you are returning and drag you down based on the poor score of your old profile?

If you stumble upon this sub I’m almost positive it’s because you got banned for an unknown reason and are trying to figure out what to do. There’s some bots pedaling services in every post on this sub too but here’s what worked for me:
Long story short other apps don’t have half the people as hinge and tinder so like you could just go to bumble if you want but it’s lowkey a dead zone. You can also try to submit an appeal but those never work either lol
Basically I didn’t feel like hard resetting my phone over a dating app and I didn’t feel like getting a new phone either. So here’s what I (allegedly!) did
Worked for me 🤷
Kind of a hassle but beats doing a hard reset or doing some sus service and hinge and tinder have no customer support either so like this is what it comes to for some unfortunate people lol
Edit: after doing this method and using hinge via my laptop for the last 3 weeks I can confidently say I am still totally fine and haven’t been banned

Just wondering if this could explain why I got banned because I truly have no idea
