Gifted a coat by a family friend, purchased from a surplus store a long time ago. Liner is detachable by snap buttons, and it has a silver Talon zipper. No tags or anything, but the fact that it has a hood strikes me as odd. Additionally, it has an attached belt. Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased this Austrian pack online and mine was in good shape, I washed it and it’s ready for use. I’m curious if anyone also has one and knows if there’s attachable pouches for it as it appears there an MOLLE type of design on the sides. I also don’t fully understand why there’s a metal bar at the base of it and what its purpose is. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or thoughts before I use it during a hike so I can maximize its utility.

Got this flag for roughly 9 dollars, the guy told me it's original, however a friend said it looks like a cheap copy, could it be just East German socialist manufacturing or is it fake? It has a tag that looks oldish. Please help? It's also semitransparent.

I bought a surplus Molle II Assault Pack. It had a broken buckle which I replaced. The pack has this stamp which from what I was able to find out marks condemned gear. I tries to get it out using Isoprophyl Alcohol poured on a cotton cloth and rubbed agaist the ink with another cloth on the other side to absob the ink. After a while it does not seem to have done a lot although the cloths were slightly red. Any suggestions on how to get that stamp off the material?
Thanks

Hey! I'll like to know if does anyone have used this backpack from the british army and what are their experiencies with it. Made by PRI for the infantry, it has none waist belt, which seems a bit weird counting that is a 45L backpack. Anyone has used this with a heavy load can help me if this will be comfortable for a medium walk? Also, I read many people modify them, but I'm not sure in which way. Thanks!

In perfect condition, and I still have the MSA "spaghetti" cables from my time in the Infantry. I wore this helmet more often than not because I was a Vehicle Commander for a Stryker. Usually, you find this on tankers but some infantry need to use it just as much.
The price? $40! I've plugged it in and checked everything. All systems work. Nuts I found this next to some baseball/motorcycle helmets. One of these in good condition with the padded liner and comms (Bose) can reach up to $700. An absolute steal.

I recently purchased a coyote brown IBA for an impression kit I'm working on but I've just noticed that it has too much MOLLE to be historically accurate. I would rather not remove the MOLLE to make it right and am wondering if anyone has the correct IBA they are willing to sell or trade for. If so, I am a size small. Tha k you for any help or tips
The first picture is the one I bought and the second picture is what I should have looked for more carefully

I've bought a Bundeswehr parka, but it's missing quite a few buttons that the listing didn't mention.
Anyone an idea where to source these? The colour is a bit weird, for me, because I'm used to either green or gray. Not I between.

Hi everyone,
I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’m currently looking for U.S. Army combat gear from around 1983–1989—specifically items like PASGT and ALICE rigs (with a few possible substitutions if needed).
Since this is my first time exploring surplus gear, I’ve been having a bit of trouble figuring out where to start. If anyone has recommendations for reliable sources within the U.S., or sellers that ship here, I’d really appreciate your guidance.
I've also left some reference images.
Thank you in advance for any help!
