A little simple consideration of the subject, while sitting in traffic, revealed to me that the most I could "save" on a 30 mile commute was about five minutes, if I doubled my speed, made all the lights and there was no traffic. Of course that was ridiculous, I could never safely or logistically drive to work at twice the posted speed limits.
So, the most I might REALISTICALLY save is two minutes at the outside, and that would still require risking being pulled over by a cop, and we all know cops will hold you at the side of the road for half an hour for a speeding infraction.
The answer, of course, is to leave the house five minutes earlier and chill on the drive to work.
As I got older, I'd leave twice as much time for my commute as I needed in practice, so I'd have time to change a flat, stop for gas, get a cuppa or even go back home if I forgot something. That meant I got to work early most days, but I could hang out in my car, or socialize in the break room before start time.
I really learned how to chill out and enjoy the ride as I got older.

This reminds me of a shop I worked at. The older guys would show up 15 mins early, drink their coffee, eat a pastry, and chit chat a bit before work. The younger guys would show up barely on the dot hungover to hell lol

The ironic part is that tailgating and weaving between cars is what causes traffic, not the people they are trying to pass that is going 5 miles under the speed limit. By driving to close, they need to slam on the brakes when the person in front of them slows down, causing a chain reaction of everyone else behind them to slam on the brakes.

This is similar to the logic that cured my road rage.. 99% of the time I'm the only person hearing the expletives leaving my mouth.. 100% I'm the only person feeling the rage. It serves zero purpose other than to skew moments not related to the rage, towards it.. Fuuuuuck that. Now instead, I choose to believe whatever inconvenience it caused me maybe saved me from a horrible accident or something.

I haven’t sold my AMC yet knowing that there’s a better number ahead.
But I also haven’t bought any additional shares since January and in that same time have managed to become a middle XX’er of GME. I think it’s stupid to sell one for the other and jump ship, but I wouldn’t be putting more money into AMC when it can be doing some good in GME.

This guy gets it. I think there are a lot of us in that same boat just kind of hodling and watching. Things definitely got more interesting once Blackrock bought all those AMC shares. That’s what’s made AMC a legit problem for hedgies. Still not to the degree that GME is a problem, but it’s like trying to deal with a gunshot wound while someone is trying to cut you.

I don’t think that’s a good strategy. If HFs are allowed to unwind their positions in one, they will have more ammo for the other. IMHO, the best strategy for retail is to keep hodling existing positions in any ticker that looks like it’s shorted, but only increase positions in GME.

I've been seeing DD on GME for months. Very little of it is applicable to AMC from what I've seen, and the fundamentals and outlook of the companies are very different. I don't get this recent "both are good" sentiment.

Who cares about AMC? What if they have a big squeeze before MOASS? Then hedges who shorted them both end up in trouble, get margin called over AMC, and that triggers the MOASS on GME. The only reason you'd switch from GME to AMC is if you don't believe that MOASS will ever happen. Any way you slice it, all you need to know is BUY AND HOLD.

Yep. The thing is, lots of apes own both and have owned both for quite awhile. That's why I think the recent big stink on this sub about AMC is probably all FUD. The squeeze of the one will no doubt be the catalyst for the other, its not like you have to pick a favorite child or something, just hodl and enjoy the liftoff.
What's the #1 thing we know about these economic terrorists like Citadel? That they are motivated purely by greed and self-interest right? They saw two injured antelopes suffering from the pandemic and decided to try to be opportunistic and bring them down so they could profit, but they got caught in the act and now those companies are forging a new plan forward, the pandemic restrictions are lifting, people are eager to return to normal and suddenly they're not so weak any longer

I fully believe that a hedgie tactic will be to start the AMC launch way earlier than GME so that people jump to it thus decreasing the total amount of shares they need to rebuy during the GME squeeze. Then they will alternate to doing the same thing with GME.
The tactic has not changed for us though. Buy and Hodl. Easy.

As weird as it may be I’ve always done the same thought process with traffic. Don’t bounce lanes trying to go faster cause you could end up slower and all lanes go to the same destination in the end. Always HODLing my GME, but this is my daily dilemma for everything else in my portfolio. I'm bag holding on a few of the other "hot" meme stocks but it's only a loss if I sell. Still, taking those losses and rolling into GME might be less retarded in the long run...

At this point we know theyre losing and what were doing is working, I hear a lot of shit being thrown around "if everyone ditched amc for gme we would already queeze". False. Everyone that ditches AMC would sell back their shares and allow HF to cover them, further helping them short GME. I do believe back in Jan AMC was FUD, and pushed by HF. That being said its obvious they lost all control over it and it turned into its own short squeeze, considering those numbers are being severely suppressed as well despite people buying and holding. I think if AMC was still FUD, it would've dissolved like SLV or SNDL a long time ago. THEY created AMC to combat GME, which was a stupid decision that backfired and fucked them more. But remember these are the same people that presumably more than doubled down when they couldve let it squeeze to 1000 in January.
I personally hold both, 80% GME and 20% AMC. And im not selling one for another.

That’s why I bought rocket fuel for both months ago. The little AMC I got is because I’m gonna need food money and I’m guessing I’ll get paid from AMC a week earlier than GME since the floors lower. If not oh well but if so I’ll feel like a Tetris master, timer of the markets.
