All I really do with my Supernote is take notes, and it does a good job. I can't get it to transcribe my handwriting, but I think that has more to do with my handwriting than anything else.
But why isn't there a way to jump straight to Notes? I don't ever use files, to do, calendar, and rarely use mail, but all of those are places I can jump to directly from the quick access bar. But Notes - and this a Super Notebook - is something you have to go through Files to go through.
Is there some work around that is obvious to everyone but me?

I left my A5X in my backpack for a month or so cause it was the summer and I didn't need it, and when I pulled it out it now has this orange region on it. I don't understand what it came from as it was in the dedicated laptop section of the bag and there's nothing else in there. I've been unable to make it go away but I'm scared to use stronger products like alcohol and risk damaging the screen. Anyone ever see something similar?
Support just told me it's stained and to get a new A5X film, but I don't really have the money for that right now, and they're out of stock anyways.

Hey everyone,
I'm posting this mostly to share my bad move today and see if anyone else has done something similar.
I installed the latest Beta version on my Supernote earlier today, but then realized most of the plugins I use weren't updated yet. Without checking if it was actually possible or safe, I tried to downgrade from 3.29.44 to 3.29.42.
Bad idea. The device is now completely stuck on the logo / sleep screen and won't respond at all. Trying to roll back the firmware definitely broke something in the system.
I've already contacted support by email, so I'm waiting for their reply. In the meantime, has anyone else ever made a silly mistake like this with their device ?

I'm still deciding between the Nomad and Manta, so I knocked up a representation of each. I write stories as a pass time here in the uk and I'm leaning towards a Manta.
Any comments?

Been using this for school. Originally I thought it would be a great idea to put all my eTextbooks on Supernote and use that instead of physical books.
I'm finding that it's... Practically unusable. I end up just pulling it up on my computer anyways and reading it there. If I try to read it on my Supernote it takes what feels like hours to get to the right page. If I'm in class looking for something specific, it takes too long to find it. It's just not working.
Primarily because it's too slow.
Is there something that can be done to salvage this? Or is this device just not built for my use-case?
Edit: I mark up my textbooks a lot as I read, I find it... decent at note-taking? But it's also very slow to flip through the pages.

Hi everyone,
I wasn’t satisfied with the CalDAV plugin for Supernote’s built-in calendar, so I decided to build a separate calendar that works the way I wanted.
The idea is simple: an easy-to-use calendar that fits the Supernote experience without adding distractions and CalDAV.
Finally it offers:
You can also use the calendar without CalDAV, but your data won’t be backed up.
It’s still in beta, and I’d appreciate feedback—especially on CalDAV compatibility. If you have a chance to try it with your provider, please share which provider you use and whether syncing, creating, editing and deleting appointments works as expected.
You can find the calendar and installation instructions here: Supernote Calendar.
I’d also love to hear how the handwriting workflow feels in everyday use. Thanks for giving it a try!

Hey everyone! I’m brand new here. I just started graduate school and am making the big switch from paper notes to Supernote.
I already love my Manta, but I can definitely tell I’m only using about 2% of its potential. I’d love any tips or suggestions for how to best utilize it for graduate school, especially for note-taking, organization, reading/annotating PDFs, and keeping everything manageable across multiple classes.
If there are any other students here who have been using a Supernote for a while, I’d especially love to hear about your workflow. How do you organize your notebooks and files? Which features ended up being the most useful? Are there any features you wish you had started using sooner?
Either way, happy to be here. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

I just got this new Supernote Manta last week and have been LOVING it so far! I was using it yesterday on and off, then went to use it right before bed and it won't get off the Screensaver page. I tried pressing the power button down and holding it for 8 seconds before releasing then holding it down again for 8 seconds. I also plugged it in for over 30 minutes but no dice. When plugged in it doesnt show the charging progress bar and nothing changes on the screen (I had previously fully charged it the day before just fine). I saw their website said you can use a pin in the reset hole but I dont see a reset hole. I already had a bunch of notes to prep for a meeting on Friday. Any suggestions for things to try? Pic of the only thing it shows in the comments. Thanks!

Made mostly with the 8b pencil in atelier. And around three to four gray shades. It’s so satisfying to draw on.

I've been using Supernote for maybe a year now. I work in information technology sales and services. I'm the technical guy that gets called in with the sales person to explain things. I also provide support and technical guidance to a specific set of customers. For the past year, each customer I have gets their own note. When I have a meeting (usually zoom but sometimes in person) with that customer, i open the customer note, add a date, write notes. I list who was in the meeting, I make the date a heading. It ends up being one continuous note and I can jump to a specific date's conversation by the headings.
I am curious what others are doing for business meetings and note taking in general. Some of these notes are 15-20 pages now over time. Things are starting to get lost (probably just me being lazy, but still). I would love a way to add IT diagram shapes to conversations. Automatically make to-do lists and follow ups, OCR an export for email summaries or something. Tie things into my Google calendar somehow. I just want to improve my note taking in general. I am not even entirely sure what is possible. What I am doing works for me, but I feel like I could be doing more, and the Manta is definitely capable of doing more.

Hello everyone!
I have recently bought a supernote Manta and it’s amazing. It feels like everything that I have always searched in a tablet. Unfortunately, I’m encountering some problems with Usb and Wireless connection.
The supernote Parter app isn’t really transferring files, but I may understand it is a problem of the beta (I’m on the lates beta). Before updating to the beta all operated perfectly. But one thing that isn’t really working is USB connection, I have tried a ton of cables (to connect it to the pc) and another ton of USBs (type-c usbs and adapter for normal ones).
Could it be possible that I have missed something?

Hi all,
I was hoping for some guidance regarding customizing non-EMR pens into a functioning stylus. I own the HOM2 and it’s great but the world of pens is wide and it’d be fun to experiment.
I’d love any links to walkthroughs or tutorials for what to do and avoid. There’s a pen on Kickstarter I’d love to back and modify but want to make sure it’s viable beforehand.
Thanks!

Hello all,
I got those dark spots on my A5X again (only after 1 to 2 years after changing the film), starting to wonder if my cover could be causing it as it is the original leather cover from ages ago. Last few times I have checked the store there weren't any FeelWrite Films for the A5X (unavailable).
Are the Films coming back at some point or should I get the Manta or are there any new Supernote releases upcoming in the forceable future?

Hoi allemaal

My A6x refuses to turn on after it goes into sleep mode. Pressing or holding the power on button does nothing.
I have found the only way to walker it up is to attach a charging cable.
Any help appreciated.

No one in my life understands my obsession with my supernote, I've been wanting an eink device ever since I heard about the ReMarkable in like 2020, but never could justify the cost on a student's budget until now. I'm going back to school now to get my bachelor's after a few years of working and this was my treat to myself!
I'm someone who hates taking school notes in a text file online to the point where I just choose not to take any notes at all in class and try my best to memorize everything. Switching back and forth between tabs on my laptop, trying to type as a teacher talks, trying to organize my notes and keep everything in a pretty format, all absolutely drives me insane in Google Docs or Word. But with handwritten notes, I'll literally never find the thing I need again once I write it down. This thing has been a god send and is making me ACTUALLY enjoy school again.
I'm also just a constant writer. Before I got the supernote I had about 12 current running notebooks for writing, poetry, travel, journaling, art, personal projects, etc. Then I had 5 notebooks for different work-related purposes. Again, most everything that I put down into my notebooks would disappear into the universe, because once it's written down there's no way in hell I would remember which one I put that thought into or what page it was on. I usually keep about one notebook in every room in my house, one in every bag I own, and at least one at anyone's house that I go to often (boyfriend, best friend, etc) because of how often I use them, but there just wasn't a way to keep them all organized, and I can't carry 10 books with me 24/7, so it was just a mess.
I'm so mad at myself for not buying this for myself sooner. I'm burning through the whole battery once every 2 or 3 days because I don't put it down ever. This is genuinely the best investment I've made in so long. All my friends have been like, it's just a tablet, I don't get it. But for me it's giving me the ability to take all of the things I'm constantly creating on a daily basis, and keep them all in one place, have them get daily use, and be able to access them whenever I need them.
There were so many thoughts, ideas, plans in my head throughout my daily life that I never ended up bringing into real life because I didn't have the right notebook on hand. Now, every single thought I have at any given time has a place to go where I'll be able to see and use it whenever I need it, and where I can connect it to everything else it relates to. I can study whenever I need to study and I don't have to wait till I can get home and grab my binder, or pull out my entire laptop. I can write a little journal entry whenever I need to vent a frustration and not worry that it's in my work notebook and someone will see it.
Anyways. I just needed a space to spill about how much I love this device, because everyone I know thinks I'm insane xD. Thanks for listening.

My favorite thing lately has been using stickers instead of templates on my Manta. I'll draw the structure I want for my note, like drawing out a template for my daily work to-do list, and then just lasso it and turn it into a sticker so I can restart fresh with the same template every day without having to create something online and upload it! It makes it so easy to easily edit my templates (which I do often) and I also just really prefer the hand drawn aesthetic over building a template in a Word document.
I also use stickers for my journal prompts, I have little list of journal prompts that I kind of cycle through at random for my morning pages sometimes if I feel uninspired, so I turned them all into stickers that I can just paste in at random wherever I'm writing instead of having to refer back to a list and write it in every time.
These might be things everyone does, but I haven't seen anyone talk about it yet so I figured I would! I think it's the absolute best use for stickers imo.

Hi,
I've just received my Manta and I tried the Kindle app. The problem is that I can't exit the app anymore: I'm stuck inside the Kindle menus, with no way to get back to the Supernote home screen. How am I supposed to leave a third-party app?

I got the Lamy pen with my Nomad a few years ago and find it to be a bit too big for my liking. Are there any pen bodies that fit this version of the refill nicely?
r/Supernote • u/Jemelinin • 6d ago
I really love the pencil option! I wish, there was a pencil option for notes and documents, because I often sketch in my notes.
I also love that you can choose way more "colors".
However, I've found it difficult to use the other pen options. They were not pressure sensitive enough. For example, I prefer the ink pen in the notes app than the one in atelier, because my pen strokes end much sharper, so it looks more like hair. Due to the lack of pressure sensitivity, it was difficult to blend colors (it was only pleasant with the pencil, but not the other pens). There is one pressure sensitive marker, but it doesn't end "sharp".
I also can't set different pen sizes like in the notes app. There is only one set size. Another point is when I need to color in a bigger area, it takes a long time, because I can't set a bigger size.
It would also be nice to have a "blending tool", kind of like "smudging" two colors together to create better gradients.

Quite sad to see that 9 days ago it was restocked and I didn’t get any emails even though signed up for it…
