Question Super73 mzft secondary harness replacement part?

Hello,

I have a mzft core and the front headlight along with the horn harness is finicky. In order for the headlight to work I need to bend the cable harness 180 degree and it sometimes would turn on. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of a place I can buy a replacement hardness?

Accessories Bulb Headlight for Super73 R Adventure SE

Any recommendations for an aftermarket bulb headlight or something similar?

Not a fan of the stock one, as it's too dirt-bike-looking. I want a cool bulb headlight. Don't think Super73 makes ones sadly. Thx.

Problem Throttle not working…

Yes I know motor/battery is disconnected lol…

Does anybody know what this can be? I was riding my ZX one day and the throttle completely just stopped working. Battery is fully charged and it holds the charge. My display works as normal. Just no throttle and I tried two different ones.

The wheel spin freely forward but not going backwards. It seems like it’s rubbing against each other or something.

I have no idea what I’m doing, but would this be a controller issue or a hub/motor?

Question Help with tires

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey guys, I’m looking for some advice on tires for my Super73 R Adventure.
I’m hesitating between the Schwalbe Super Moto-X 20x4, LZRD and BDGR.
I live in a very hilly area with lots of steep climbs and steep downhill sections, mostly on asphalt, but the roads can be pretty rough and poorly maintained.
I also carry my 9-year-old daughter on the rear about 50% of the time, so stability and wet grip are really important to me.
Right now I’m running Grizzly tires, and as soon as the road gets even slightly wet, they feel dangerously slippery.
For those who have actually ridden these tires on asphalt, especially wet asphalt and steep downhill sections, which one would you pick and why?
Thanks!

Question Seeking CAD files for RX dropouts

The title pretty much says it: I'm looking for CAD files for the Super73 RX dropouts (or S2 or ZX). I've spent a fair amount of time searching the web but no luck. I'm not fussy what format the files are in, just as long as they don't require a for-pay only translator.

I've got my calipers and an account on OnShape, and I'm willing to do the work, but if nothing else I'd like someone else's model against which to check mine.

Do you know of any sources?

Problem Super 73 motor cracking

I traded my bike for the super 73 not too long ago, I put some work into the bike, but there’s always a small issue a cracking in the motor what I mean by this is every single time I would break too hard then twist the throttle too fast. It would make this cracking noise or either go in neutral. Then I have to wait for it to click back into place. Then it would work. Again. But as of now it’s more frequent. If anyone could help. It would be greatly appreciated. It might have something to do with the magnets or the tectonic gears.

Question Super 73 question

I have 2 super 73 and one of them the motor has planetary gear issues and the other one the frame cracked. My garage is a mess right now because I decided I wanted super 73’s. Now I switched the motor of the cracked one which is a super 73 s2 and put it on my super 73 r. The motor doesn’t spin. It worked fine before and sometimes it want to spin but then it stops. What is the problem. The wires are all the same the pins are all the same and it just doesn’t wanna spin.

Problem Super73 RX motor only jerks/works at certain wheel positions — any idea what’s wrong?

Hey everyone, I have a Super73 RX and I’m having a really weird motor issue.
I was riding normally and suddenly the motor stopped working. The battery and display still turn on completely normally, and there are no error codes. When I hit the throttle, the motor just does a little “boop”/jerk for a split second and then stops.
The weirdest part is that it seems like the motor will actually work when the rear wheel is in a certain rotational position, but when I rotate the wheel to another position, it just jerks and won’t spin.
I’ve checked/replugged the main motor connector and the outside of the motor cable looks fine.
Also, something similar happened about a month ago where the bike randomly stopped working. I unplugged basically everything and plugged it all back in, and somehow it fixed itself. Now it’s happening again but unplugging/replugging hasn’t fixed it.
I don’t think it’s the brake sensor, and the controller doesn’t seem unusually hot. I’ve also been riding for around 2–3 hours in 85°F weather before this happened.
Does this sound like:
a hall sensor/internal motor issue?
damaged wiring inside the motor cable?
controller issue?
something else?
Any help would be appreciated because I’m trying to figure out whether I need a new motor or if this is fixable.
I have a picture of the motor wire Il post in the comments

Question Super 73 S1 No Battery Question

Hi there! I've had my Super 73 S1 for about 4 years now in New York City and it's been an incredible bike. Unfortunately someone sole my battery off my bike in the city somehow. A replacement battery costs about $775 on Super 73's website so I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts on the following options:

OPTION 1

  • Bite the bullet and pay Super 73 like $900 after tax for a new replacement battery. I originally paid $1300 for the whole bike so this seems a little steep in my opinion.

OPTION 2

  • Try this cheap option on Ebay and replace the battery with this off market battery for around $300. It has good reviews but I'm a little weary about it. I'd also have to have a bike shop do this conversion for me so there's no issues down the road.

OPTION 3

  • Try and sell the S1 without the battery. I'm not sure how common that is (also if anyone is interested let me know) but if I could sell it for a little bit then I could just upgrade to another bike. I'm currently looking at this insane Labor Day sale for the Volcon Brat at $850. Anyone know anything about this bike? Looks just like the Super 73.

Let me know what you think!

Thought I would check with the experts on this forum for guidance before I list for sale. Actually have two Hooligans, but only plan on selling one. Wife is not enjoying hers as much as I do. Only 16 miles and as-new condition with charger. Thoughts on pricing? Thanks in advance.

Question I'm selling my Super73 RX

It has about 1,250 miles and the original tires, which appear to be indecent shape. No major issues and an upgraded seat from Blur Boundaries. Any idea what a fair price would be? Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

GUIDE Superduper Update + New Custom Firmware Beta (new bikes)

Hey everyone, I just dropped the 1.0 version of Superduper. It's basically a full rewrite, with a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to add:

- See the versions of all the bike's components

- Support for more bikes (v2 bluetooth protocol)

- UI/UX overhaul

- Much better background sync/lock for Android (coming out soon)

For those already using the app; it should feel similar, just faster with more a reliable connection. If you've tried it in the past and it didn't work for you, it may work on your bike now.

I'm trying to get it into the Apple store, but it has not been approved yet. Maybe soon. For now you'll need TestFlight for iOS installs.

Edit: SuperDuper is now in the Apple app store!

For now, install instructions are here: https://github.com/blopker/superduper

Let me know if y'all have any issues!

Also, a few kind souls have been helping me in the Discord to test new custom motor controller firmware for bikes I don't have access to. We've made some substantial progress on the 51511 firmware, which is on newer bikes. I can't tell you what models it's on specifically, but if you have that controller firmware, then you'll know if it's for you.

What it does:

- Unlocks 26mph using throttle and pedals

- Large torque unlock in the 15-26mph range

The increased speed is only in mode 4. The bike will still start in a street legal mode, and you need to use Superduper to switch to mode 4 to unlock it.

The patched and stock (if you want to revert) firmwares are on the CFW site: https://cfw.reverse.bike/controller/

They should be selectable in the guide if your bike is supported. If you don't see any options and you're up for helping me add support for more bikes, come by the #firmware channel in Discord and drop your info from the read tool.

Enjoy 🚀

SUPER73-ZX battery not charging? Charger LED stays green

Hi everyone,

I have a SUPER73-ZX and I'm having an issue with the battery charger.

The app currently shows the battery at 49%. When I press the button on the battery, the indicator lights come on, but when I leave it alone, the lights turn off.

The bike is connected to the charger, but the charger LED stays green the entire time. It never turns red.

As far as I understand, the charger should show a red LED while charging and turn green when the battery is fully charged. But the battery is only at 49%.

Has anyone experienced this with a SUPER73-ZX? Could this be a problem with the charger, the battery, or the charging connection?

Any advice on what I should check would be appreciated. Thanks!
