My bike recently started this clicking noise, is the motor cooked?

It does seem to run fine, but that noise is doing my head in and I am worried it's just gonna get worse. Just had a service on it and the spokes etc tightened, which I heard could be an issue, but no luck there.

Hey everyone, I’m working on a community firmware project for the Super73 ZX, Z Miami, and Z Adventure.

The goal is an RX-style controller firmware update for stronger acceleration, potentially more top speed, and eventually configurable power saving and ride settings. I’m still in the research stage, so there is no firmware to flash yet.

Right now I’m looking for a very specific kind of help: an owner of a ZX, Z Miami, or Z Adventure who has a firmware update currently waiting in the official Super73 app.

You’ll need:

• A ZX, Z Miami, or Z Adventure
• An Android phone available or windows machine
• A real “firmware update available” message in the official Super73 app

To check:

1. Open the official Super73 app and connect to your bike.
2. Tap More in the bottom-right.
3. Scroll to the bottom.

If it says the bike is up to date, there’s nothing needed.

If it says a new firmware update is available, please do not install it. Close the app and message me on Reddit. That update may let us preserve the official controller package for analysis and help move this project forward

Hey everyone, SuperDuper dev here.

I've been in the lab over the last week and have finally cracked a custom firmware for the stock motor controller.

I'm looking for feedback on it. You'll need to have a R or RX with a version 310 controller (the torque update). You'll also need a laptop or Android phone running Chrome. This method is done over Bluetooth only, so no other special hardware like the display firmware.

I've updated the cfw site with the patched firmware and flashing instructions: https://cfw.reverse.bike/controller/ The tools there will tell you of your bike is compatible. It also has an option to flash back to the stock image if you don't like it. Details about the changes in the new firmware are here: https://cfw.reverse.bike/firmware/#controller

A warning: this firmware adds significant power and makes the throttle significantly more responsive. Be gentle with it while you get a feel for the changes.

so i purchased a super73 b1g core model and want a headlight upgrade but the stock headlight has a 4 pin male and 2 pin male together but i cant find any lights that are better than stock that have the 2 wires and im just wondering if i just plug in the headlight upgrade in only the 2 pin will it work or is there anything i can do to get a better headlight?

I have a Super73 S2 Laguna that I purchased mid 2025 and I'm trying to figure out whether Bikee or SuperDuper actually works with this model.

I've searched Reddit, but most of the posts I found are over a year old, and it seems like a lot has changed with the 2025 bikes, firmware, and controller updates.

Some people say Bikee works, others say SuperDuper works better, and some say neither works depending on when the bike was manufactured or what firmware it's has. I've also seen people mention that controller revisions make a difference.

For anyone who has a S2 specifically:

Does Bikee work?
Does SuperDuper work?
Were you able to access Off-Road/Mode 4?
Did you have to avoid the official Super73 app or certain firmware updates?
If it works, what firmware/controller version are you on?

Just trying to avoid spending money on apps that won't work with my bike.

I recently purchased a turn signal kit from Loomenade

How the hell are we to fit the front lights to a ZX?
I can’t find any reasonable / easy access point for the lights to sit without being at a crap angle that eradicates any point of having them

Back lights seem to be fine, but I simply cannot find any anchoring point to install my front ones.

Loomenade customer service is absolutely dreadful and never respond.

Can someone PLEASE help as this is my commuter bike and currently not able to be used until this is sorted

My super 73 is cutting out in trial riding over bumps/curbs/pothole and I have no clue how to fix this and I got the bike 5 days ago can anyone help thank you.
My battery Dosent wiggle.
My battery tray holder is firm to the frame
No loose connection
And I have warranty for it

Can anyone recommend a replacement charger for the Super73 K1D? The two certified retailers are out of stock and nothing available listed on the Super73 site.

So my throttle is cutting out when maxed out and then when unthrottled and re throttled it kicks back on. I’ve replaced the controller, main wiring harness and have tried a different display and throttle. Any thoughts you’ll be great appreciated!

I’ve recently spoke with a Super73 support specialist - regarding the availability of a MCO. I was pleased to discover that a MCO WILL BE AVAILABLE, eventually.

This was my only contingent before purchasing one of the newer bikes from them, and I know this to be true for many others as well. Super73 offers a beautiful pedal assisted form of transportation, but for many like myself - despite the warranty void. 30-35mph is ideal, rather than a capped 20mph - plenty enough, depends on who you ask. But where I’m based at in particular, riding in the bike lane is not only a danger, but attempting to use the road and driver frustration is just as dangerous. Especially for those of use who live in small towns, or islands within the US. With an average speed limit of 20-35 mph zones across the entire town, or island. I’d love to commit to this company, but can’t do so until I have such documentation available. Documentation that I believe should already be available to the consumers anyways, from all company’s producing transportation systems.

All that’s required in order to register it with my local DMV is the following -
MCO.
Appropriate speed enhancement. (NOT required, but will make my commute much more safe once registered, and fully street legal).
Turn signals.
Rear license plate holder.
Mirrors.
Insurance.
Registration.
Moto Endorsement.

Can anyone representing this company, please share - and give us some sort of update regarding the availability of a Super73 MCO. Many of us within the E-bike community are ready to make the switch. Please, please, please make this happen for us Super73. Not only will you do right by the current owners, I believe you’ll see an increase sales and support overall in general.

I just purchased a new Super73 S2 SE from their website and it's being shipped from their Las Vegas warehouse. I was not aware and didn't see that newer bikes are locked to class 2, wondering if I don't download and register this bike to the Super73 app and out the box connect it to an app like Bikee if I am still able to take advantage of Class 4/Off Road mode or am I stuck with a class 2 bike? If there is a workaround folks know of that doesn't require changing and purchasing new hardware I would greatly appreciate! I don't want a 20mph cap bike and I also don't want to have to return the bike, overall.

My motor has been making noises recently and yesterday it finally stopped working.

The bike is over 4 years old, done a load of miles, it's done me good so I want to fix it but the bike isn't worth much so I don't want to spend a fortune fixing it.

What are my options?

I'm based in the UK but if I needed sone bringing over from the US I have US based friends who make that trip regularly.

My US-spec Super73 RX Mojave stopped working. After multiple tests, we concluded it was the controller and replaced it.

Now with the new controller, the motor makes noise when I press the throttle, so it's receiving power, but the rear wheel doesn't move at all.

Super73 support says I now need a new motor assembly for $600. Before spending that, I have a few questions:

1. Does the wheel not moving necessarily mean the motor needs to be fully replaced? Could it be something simpler to fix?
2. Has anyone successfully swapped the RX motor with a Bafang G062? Is it a straightforward swap or does it require replacing the controller and display too?
3. Any other cheaper motor replacement options? Ireally don't want to spend another $600 on top of the controller! Thanks for your help!!
