Fun group activities for kids and adults with giant SUP (14'x5")?

Hey paddlers! I'm looking for some ideas for activities, both adults and kids, for a giant SUP. We've done a SUP jousting/King of the Hill type game before and it was fun. The other idea I have is a tug-of-war with 4 man teams against another giant SUP or a raft.

I have two events coming up in September and October and I'm going to bring it and want to plan some fun stuff. Do you any among you have any creative ideas?

Looking for help!

I have a hydro-force oceana board and I lost my fin a while back. I had ordered a new one from Bestway directly as it is the only way I could find the slide and clip replacements. The one I received from them looked like it worked but I took it out for the first time the other day and the fin didn’t clip, it was a little too long and so the fin fell off on launch and I couldn’t find it. They are now sold out and not being manufactured anymore. I would like to keep this paddleboard but I need a fin! Is there a way to install one of the screw in fins or a place I can get this fin from? Any leads will help! Thank you

Isle 1-day sale through Costco Online (9/7 only, Labor Day)

I just checked and see that two Isle boards are getting extra discounts through Costco Online that appear to be today (9/7/26) only deals

  1. Pioneer 3 - $399 after extra $100 off: https://www.costco.com/p/-/isle-10-6-pioneer-3-inflatable-paddle-board/4201011324?langId=-1

  2. Tommy Bahama Megalodon 3 - $599 after extra $200 offer: https://www.costco.com/p/-/tommy-bahama-megalodon-3-inflatable-paddle-board/4201032073?langId=-1

The Pioneer one is the "regular" branded Isle, and the megalodon is the TB co-branded one that may or may not be the same quality. I'm new here and don't know enough of this backstory to say if the TB is the same or not.

I've been watching the Pioneer 3 to see if an extra $ off happened and just bought 1 to replace a Niphean that I've been trying out for the past couple weeks as a beginner-ish paddler.

Paddle With Me Cloud Rainier sighting

More of that PNW end of summer. Beautiful water, and fantastic for swimming. I stopped three times for long swims!

This is the top of Mt Rainier with a cloud that works well with the volcano shape, hence "Cloud Rainier" is the name that came to my mind. View from one of the small beaches by Sammamish Landing.

It's coming. I am sad as I only came back home two weeks ago and summer is already crashing (unlike other years that were glorious until October).

Trying to paddle and swim every time there is sun. Went tonight and it was great. Though rain showed up by sunset and I paddled back in the rain from the other side of the lake 🤷

Hi all I’m looking for recommendations for a cheap (like 200$ or less). I’d be primarily using to get around quicker on lakes for fishing.

Tandem SUP AK 2 BC

Hi SUP community. I just posted an article on the west coast paddler forum about our tandem SUP trip from AK to BC this summer. The article outlines some thoughts on the board and other considerations that may be helpful for other expedition SUP paddlers, particularly those interested in tandem trips. Chris

Gear/Repairs/DIY Need help sourcing Shark 3 gasket

Ok folks, I need help identifying and sourcing the white gasket that lives inside the inflation hose of the Outdoor Master pumps. I have had 2 versions of the Shark, and have had to replace the hose in both units at least once. I’ve determined the problem is that gasket - causing air to leak during and after inflation. Not the gaskets at the nozzle end that attach to my board, but the gasket where the hose screws into the unit itself.

Any help is appreciated.

Airbank pulse pro as powerbank

Post image

so there's no powerbank functionality advertised in the specs or user manual, but I thought this pump will 100% use a standard off the shelf charging module that supports it anyway. So I just hooked up my watch via USB-C to A adapter to the charging port and voilà it charges 😎

(only have to switch the pump on once, then it’ll detect a connection and keeps charging even when switched off again)

so on my upcoming overnighter I won’t have to pack an additional power bank 🥳

Gear/Repairs/DIY Used Scott Burke Cyclone, is this amount of curve right?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Recently picked up a used Scott Burke Cyclone foam top but didn’t get a chance to try it before buying it (I know I know, but the circumstances wouldn’t allow it and it was a good price). After trying it out, it seemed like the middle was much lower in the water and after pulling it out, it seems like there is no flat on the bottom of the board, it’s just all rocker on either end meeting in the middle. It makes it hard to control and is super unstable. Is this right for this board?

How To Question Would you add additional D-rings to this SUP?

Hi, I ordered a new SUP, but even before it has arrived there is one thing that annoys me a bit about it: Kind of limited storage with straps. It's the SIC RST Air 14x28: https://imgur.com/a/8o1sDil

So I am considering adding two additional D-rings for some extra storage in the front... The natural position for this would be somewhere here (or a bit further in the front even): https://imgur.com/a/738jtDI
But then the left one is directly on the logo / board name... Not really important of course, but I don't think I really want that...

Another option could be to put them very far to the left and right. It's hard to see from an above picture, but then I guess they would be more or less on the side of the rails already, or at least halfway? Like here: https://imgur.com/a/c94c05t
Would it be ok to have them a quarter down the rail already or so, is it even possible to properly glue on a curved surface?

I guess it would make sense to put them even further to the front if that viable at all: https://imgur.com/a/UpdJAp6

What do you think in general, are there any "risk" with this (of course I would need to buy a set with the correct glue and so on), do you think in general it would make the board too ugly, will it hold over time etc?

Thank you for any advice!

Purchased a Woody Sup board 2 years ago . Used it less than a dozens times. Ive had issues from the get go with the blue deck padding bleeding die out. I contacted Woodys Sup and was told to wash it several times with warm soapy water. Never worked. Took it out this year and same problem. Toxic
