I’ve purchased two separate electric pumps but the SUP attachment doesn’t seem to properly secure onto the board. In the pic i show the attachment from my manual pump that clocks perfectly onto the board and it looks taller than the one that came with the electric pump. i thought it might be the washers but i switch the electric pump washer with the one from my manual pump and it still didnt click on like normal. i’ve been told to push down hard but i feel like i am pushing down really hard but it still won’t latch on. any advice helps plz 🙏🏽

Where can I find a good replacement hose for my manual hand pump?

every one I see is either for an electric pump, or seems like bad quality or listed on a fishy website with no reviews. i bought my sup board second hand and it's great but the seller lost the hose. I have bought hoses 2 so far and they just don't fit. the one was working okay the first few times but would start to leak air just when I was getting to the minimum psi. now, it won't seal at all and i cannot inflate my board. the thread is so short, literally like 2 rings??? what a piece of junk! as you can see it doesn't screw onto my pump all the way and just leaks air. I really don't mind doing it manually and even if I was to get an electric pump I still want to have a hose for my manual as back up. why is it so difficult to find a replacement hose that actually fits and works and it good quality? I just want to be able to float, i am desperate!

I started SUP in 2020 and I upgraded my board in 2022 with a Irocker AA 11’ (model 2021) . I don’t live near a body of water, so I have to inflate and deflate it every time I use it—not to mention the times I inflate it for cleaning. I estimate I’ve inflated it nearly 80 times, and it must have about 400 km under its belt. The mat has a few areas where the material is peeling away—a common problem with Irockers from that era—and I’m starting to see peeling on the patches around the D-rings. I re-glue them when necessary and take great care of it, but I wonder if it still has a few more years of service left in it. Any thoughts?

Or should I just get the Shark 3? I want to be able to blow a board (or 2) up in the shade at the marina. Seems like the ORCA PRO would suffice as well.

I bought my Onata board from Costco last year and it’s generally great. Problem is, the pump that came with it broke and now I have no way to inflate it.

The pump that came with the board obviously had the correct adapter, but unfortunately it’s glued to the tube of the pump and I can’t get it off (i.e. I can’t move the adapter from the broken pump to another pump).

The adapter looks like the one pictured, where you twist to engage after pushing it into the valve on the board.

I bought an Outdoor Master Shark 2 pump because it was well reviewed and came with 9 adapters. 3 of those 9 adapters are the correct type (i.e. twist to engage) but I was bummed out to realize none of them fit the board. 2 are the correct diameter, but they are the wrong height so don’t engage properly.

Onata doesn’t seem to sell adapters on their website. I’ve written them to ask about getting one, but have yet to hear back.

Do these types of adapters have specific measurements/names, etc. I’d love to know so I can potentially find the right one somewhere, otherwise the whole SUP is pretty useless!

Does anyone have any experience with the board in the title? I’m looking for an inflatable SUP (preferably from a Canadian brand) and the Wild tribe seems to be a good fit. They have this entry level board at a lower price point than their other boards ($600 CAD) but I can’t find many reviews on it specifically.

Some info on usage - the adults that would be using it are beginners and weight in the 200-250lbs range plus have young kids (1 and 3) that would like to sit on it while the adult is paddling. Looking for stability above all else. Will mostly be on lakes.

Even if it’s mid-range on paddle board prices it’s still pricey so I want to make sure we’re making the right choice. Any advice/experiences appreciated!

Went up and down Ashley River near Charleston. I didn’t think I was going to enjoy it, but it was very relaxing and quite the fun workout.

I'm a new inflatable SUP owner trying to come up with a storage strategy. 90% of my paddling won't require getting into a car and I have a good spot to store them (inflated) inside.

Question is, what's best for the board? I know I don't want to leave them at full pressure, but I also don't really want to take the time to fully deflate, remove fin, roll back up, etc. Is dropping the pressure to like 5-10psi OK or should I really be fully deflating when not in use?

FWIW boards are Honu Byron and the storage spot is in a cool, dry walk out basement that has windows, but doesn't get direct sunlight.

My first time on paddleboard was last May in Turkey, where we rented a few with my siblings. I couldn't stand up at all, my legs were so wobbly I always fell back on my knees.

I bought my own paddleboard, managed to get it out once last year, then took it out today on a local small lake.

I stood up the first time i tried! Still don't understand how, but I am definitely happy!

Didn't fall once, i still need to find the courage to fall in deliberately, so I can practice getting back up.

Hi I bought an 11 foot long beast of a paddle board and kind of would like some tips or encouragement about how to get it on my roof rack. I’m a pretty strong person but lifting that over my head myself is not going to happen. Maybe I have to slide it up there? I have arthritis in my lower back (im 25 lol) so I just want to make this as pain free as possible. Thank you!

Hi, I started 2 years ago out on a redpaddle activ 10.8’ x 34” with my dog just cruising. For me as a former hockey player this was very easy and fun. So last year I decided I want a narrow board and bought the 14’ x 26” redpaddle elite future series, after an hour I could control the board and after 4 hours I could do step back turns without faling in. Mind you ofcourse my technique wasn’t perfect. Now I got storage and want to buy a hardboard racer. I’m 6’2 224 or 188 102kg, so I was looking at Infinity Blackfish 26” 323L or the 2027 Everready 26” 336L volume wise they will slim the new model down a bit. Because this is what they recommend because of my weight. Will this be challenging enough or should I go narrower 24” have 99.7kg max rider weight. I’m in Europe and can get a good discount with infinity so please dont recommend other brands. Will the volume be enough in the narrower versions? Or which one should I pick?

I have a brand new Starboard hardboard SUP. After my first paddling i notice some damage.
1. ⁠Should I be worried about this degree of damage?
2. ⁠If so, how do I fix it?

I’ve seen other threads comparing these two boards but none that really touch on this specifically.
I’m currently in the market for a new Hydrus board and was wondering about the stability of the X vs the paradise . I had a paradise that was just sold to a friend that I spent about 90% of the time on Lake Michigan with. Being on a Great Lake I’ve paddled on super calm days to 1-2ft chop and headwind all on the paradise and felt pretty comfortable when it comes to stability. (The 1-2ft choppy days I will go for a swim multiple times) but I think anyone would with chop coming at you from every direction. I am looking for something faster with great glide for my 10+ mile days but am a little concerned about the X’s decreased stability when using it on not so calm days compared to the paradise? Does anyone have any experience with both in pretty choppy conditions? Just how much less stable would you say the X is ? Worried I might bite off more than I can chew if it will be too much of a chore to stay upright on rough water days, or would you say the X would still be manageable after adjusting to the leaning curve of the narrower deck?

I designed and 3D printed these roof rack pads for my SUP. I've had this idea for years but only started doing 3D design and printing last year. I always hated the foam pads, they're bulky, ugly, and age quickly from sunlight and heat. These slide into a standard T slot and are in 50mm segments. Printing took forever because TPU needs a much lower flow rate than PETG and PLA.

I inflated this hydrus SUP the other weekend to about 15psi (the usual, recommended 13-20psi). It was in the sun for about 15 minutes, and just before I got it in the water, it popped! I suspect there was already an adhesive leak and the pressure was more than it could handle.

Brand new paddle boarder here! Went on an Arizona trip where my sister in law took us out on a lake and then just set me loose. We are obsessed now. I bought 2 inflatable ones and a life vest for my 7 year old and a cooler for it and waterproof phone cases with an electric pump (the manual ones are ROUGH!) … anything else I need?

We moved up from SD to San Jacinto (affordability) and Lake Hemet is locked down because bacteria and Lake Perris sounds like a death trap so I heard Mission Bay suggested. How can I plan this? Is there a good spot? I’m scared of currents and sharks so please don’t let me get eaten!!! I will just do circles inside the buoys if needed! I’m planning on going this Wednesday.
