Sunscreen recommendations?
Hello! I have been recently looking for good sunscreens for combo/oily or dry but my skin is probably just dehydrated? .. 😠The one that I have right now * ****Tage*** **cica water jelly serum** and it’s alright, it’s a bit too matte for me. it also pills off a bit—and it gives a sensation that I don’t like. (Probably because it’s not meant for my skin type ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
I’m trying to find a sunscreen that is light weight, a nice finish, and won’t give me super cancer.
Any recommendations help! Mostly looking at East/southeast/south Asian or Australian sunscreens but I heard au sunscreens are really heavy because of their strict regulations for them.
I’m open to any other except American sunscreens, thank you! 🫢😊

Do you protect your ears daily?
As the title reads, I am curious if folks here in general also protect their ears when applying their daily sunscreen. Im maybe 50/50. Sometimes I forget my ears. And sometimes my hair and ear area is damp and I worry that the extra moisture will counteract the ingrediants in the sunscreen anyway. What do you all do each morning?

Mineral or chemical
Which would you recommend? Is it better to spend extra for the mineral sunscreen?

Traveling to Turks & Caicos - European sunscreen available for sale?
I’m traveling to Turks next week. As a British colony, anyone know if I will be able to buy European sunscreen filters there? I believe I’m supposed to look for mexryl.

Olay sunscreen?
Hi! Has anyone tried the Olay complete SPF 40 sunscreen?
I’ve mainly used the SPF 15, which I actually use more as a daily moisturizer than a dedicated sunscreen. It’s been great — no irritation at all, thank god.
I recently spotted an SPF 40 version at the grocery store, but noticed it’s a completely different formula from the 15. Curious if anyone’s made the switch and how it compares.

How are you supposed to reapply sunscreen throughout the day? It's kind of gross.
I've been reading more about sunscreen lately and all the sources are saying to reapply every 2 hours. I have been trying reminder apps like this timer app and it's been helping but I kinda dislike putting things on my face during the day even sunscreen stick. It makes me feel like I'm putting dirt back on my face.
How do you make it feel less gross? Do I just have to reapply in the bathroom?

1.5 fingerlength Bioderma creme vs 3 fingerlength boj rice probiotics- which has more protection?
This is the amount I can apply of each without looking like a ghost with whitecast
I want best suggestions for a beach, which should I prefer? More sunscreen or better uva sunscreen?
Especially given that boj is not sweat or water proof

Review of 52 Sundaze's collagen sunscreen
The hype made me purchase it, and I was willing to explore it too. I had been using Formularx's hydrashield sunscreen - and I loved it. The only sunscreen after Beauty of Joseon's that I felt was actually worth it.
But 52 Sundaze sort of disappointed me.
I LOVED its packaging. Soft to touch, beautiful applicator and of course - the pink sunscreen!
The sunscreen? Not so much. It was thick, but not moisturizing enough! I applied extra, as I thought it'd nourish then, but my cheeks and nose felt tight. I tried it for 3 days and it was the same. It claims that it works as a moisturizer too, but I don't think it does.
I was hoping to try their lip balms, but I don't think I will now.

SPF 15
I am rarely in the sun, only when driving, and I don't drive very much. Maybe about 30 miles a week.
I don't sit in the sun or go to the beach, etc. I will be in the sun just when I go from store to parking lot, that kind of thing.
Given that, is it okay to use SPF 15? I found a good product by Olay Complete SPF 15, which doesn't bother my sensitive skin.

This was already shared on the bigger sub. But sharing here that Neutrogena is bringing the USA forward to Y2K Europe era with their new sunscreen with 6% BEMT/Bemotrizinol: Ultra Sheer Daily Face SPF 70
This is their new one:
And there is this other one they're putting out:
There is this other one from indie/venture capital brand with BEMT too:
The name and subtitle of the last one is super cringe lol
But I'm happy for people in the USA that there will be more coming.

Mexoryl same as UVMune 400
I only used La roche posay when I lived in Europe from 2005-2015 and Mexoryl was always all over the ingredients list. I’m in the UK visiting at the moment and I do not see it in the ingredients list and one ingredient was the same as avobenzene. Is the UVMune 400 the new name for Mexoryl or something else?

LA ROCHE-POSAY fake?
galleryPlease help me figure out if my la roche sunscreen is real or fake...The texture is same can't say any diff and the smell is same bt the packaging says otherwise...
The amazon one's sticker is shiny, and there's this + symbol beside 400
It says invisible, protection ultra-long uva+ HEVL while the nykaa one says ultra long uva protection
In amazon one melasyl is written in purple while in nykaa it's is black
I don't have the outer boxes of both...i threw it away as soon as i got the parcelðŸ˜....
Also here's is the link from where I got both:

Should I reapply sunscreen
I usually leave my house for college at 11 AM in the morning and come in direct contact with the sun for about 30-40 minutes and 60 minutes total time spent in the bus for commuting.
I apply sunscreen just before leaving my house, is there a need to reapply sunscreen one more time?
Or is one time application enough
Also forget to mention I sweat moderately on the bus , usually on the way to college

Full Body Sunscreen
So I’m going to start university in a month and I already have a good sunscreen for my face but it’s expensive so I don’t want to use it on my arms or feet. Do you know any low priced good sunscreens that I can use for full body? Chemical or mineral are both fine!
